I keep seeing threads about how good Chelsea's team will be next year, how far United have to go to even match them etc let alone catch City and Liverpool...
I feel like there is a constant underrating of United players, especially the likes of Rashford and Martial in regards to their status in world football. It is likely that both players are about to hit 20 goal seasons for the first time and this is for the vast majority of this season, playing with Lingard, Perrira and Mata in behind them.
Which begs to question, both are up there with some of the best young forwards in Europe and should be just about to hit their stride in terms of turning into world class forwards. Pogba is one of the best players in the game and Bruno may just be one of the bargains of the century.... yet United fans are more concerned about players who are striding around in an attacking league where numbers are much easier to come by.
Its been obvious that these players would take time to develop because we bought them so young, but Martial on his day, is arguably one of the most talented forwards in the world. If you added consistency to his game, he worked on his predatorial instincts, I would say he's creeping up on Mbappe in terms of talent, but is trickier in close dribbling and a better finisher. There is very few players I have ever seen, make some of the thing Martial does look so effortless.
As for Rashford, he's peak Ronaldo lite, but still needs to add consistency to his game. His ability to draw the ball down from over the top on forward runs is outstanding and having Pogba behind him for a full season would see him move even further forward in terms of effectiveness.
