We really are right now. All without Pogba and Rashford. Something is really taking shape here, I hope they keep focus through setbacks.

Very annoyed.

I put a bet on 4-0 and that Andreas goal cost me around £820.

How come we went down tools at the end of last season? Really enjoying last few weeks. Hope that goes on forever.

Defense is getting back to where it should be after an abysmal 18-19. 45% is our 2nd best record since Sir Alex left, granted we're playing in Europa compared to Champions League but even so, promising turn around.

Fitness and injury if I remember correctly. We just ran out of legs, and let's not forget DDG cost us with a few huge errors (chelsea at home especially)

it is so great to see us put teams to the sword and not hold back from putting goals past weaker sides. There have been instances in the past few seasons, particularly with Mourinho where we looked like we could score a good few but instead sat back and contained. All the best sides in the world try and score as many as possible, we’ve shown sides far too much respect in the recent years, would be great to see us consistently unleash our attacking capability more often when we can.

We've ended the season as the best side in England. I'll take that.

It'll be something to build on when the next season starts in October.

If Ole gets more warchest to have two players on Bruno's level, I'm pretty confident we'll be back challenging the Top. We have good core of players, but feels like we still lack some magic in attack, and the midfield needs more "bite".

We had quite a few injuries around the Liverpool home game
Remember martial Herrera and lingard getting hurt. Rashford too but he soldiered on. Bailly and jones who started as cb pretty much went down too
They just weren't fit at all so the initial burst died down. Then it crumbled apart

We were completely blown. If we were a horse we'd have been shot. We went from running the least in every game to I tihnk one of the most mid season. Players were rekt but you're seeing the benefit now.

We also had lack of competition for places and issues with mentality, morale and complacency.

It’s all coming together it seems.

Difficult to criticise the signings we’ve made since Ole took over. We’ve almost got a brand new team and even the players that were here before seem new. Luke Shaw is definitely new! Fred too.

Better times ahead.

It’s not time to get carried away, continuing to develop the squad and instilling the right mentality should still be prioritised over results

Couldn’t be happier with how things are going though right now

Now its becoming clearer that the overall fitness played a big part in that collapse. Players seemed to be unable to maintain any sort of intensity after like 55-60 min. Now, we seem to continue the intensity almost till the very final minutes.

it will be interesting to see goals scored/goals per game and goals conceded/goals conceded per game alongside this statistics

so true, Finally looking forward to every match with lot of enthusiasm. Hope our boys take this to next season and build on the foundations they laid.

Looks like Ole is fixing the culture, fitness, style (these 3 were not that great under Jose) and bringing back the confidence too.

Someone posted the stats on counter attacking goals and we scored not many of them compared to other top teams means we are not one directional too.All good and exciting.

Hope we sign 3/4 good ones in summer and take it from there.

For 19-20, I suspect if one compares B.B. and A.B. the 'Goals for Per Min' and perhaps even the 'Goals Against Per Min' might be a teeny bit different.

*B.B. = Before Bruno, A.B. = After Bruno

Magic in attack = Rashford return + RW signing + more attacking full backs (whether Shaw and AWB develop or we buy)
bite in midfield = well that's exactly what Pogba would bring. and if he leaves then Grealish hopefully

Have you watched how both played? Grealish isn't quite similar to Pogba. I'm not sure why many thought otherwise.

I don't think we need Pogba specifically or someone who is similar to him. We just need a good creative midfielder to provide depth to Bruno. Pereira and Lingard are both shiite and hopefully on their way out.

That would be nice to have Grealish as a cover. Although I think it's a bit unrealistic.

So far no United manager has integrated Pogba into the team successfully...mainly because Paul has a unique skill set which doesn’t fit into a typical role.

I hope the extra time will give Ole and the coaches a chance to try different ways to play him and Bruno together without being completely wide open in MF.

Pogba will play next to either Fred or Mctominay in the easier games.

It is fair to say we are quite good right now, and without Pogba and Rashford. But we need to beat bottom feeding PL clubs on a more consistent basis.

We have shown we are a decent team at times this season.
With the addition of Fernandes and Ighalo we are looking much better.
With a fully fit and firing squad we could be a match for any team in the world.
Do we have what it takes to challenge for the title who knows but at least we are getting better and that’s what matters at the minute.
Found my post don’t even remember writing it..

Looking good again. It does raise the question of whether Ole with SAF’s coaching staff could have done a better job than those who followed.

Our last few games have been really encouraging. Our fixtures are more than kind enough for us to keep fourth and maybe take fourth or third if we beat Leicester and assuming CHelsea lose to Liverpool.

My current concerns are:
  • Is OGS good enough to keep this going (imo, no; I think we're too dependent on Bruno's impact) and
  • can we continue to make good signings as opposed to wasting money (imo, mostly yes).

Most teams tend to depend on their best players, it’s nothing to worry about.

What managers keep winning without their best players? Would Pep or Klopp or even Fergie be winning consistently with a midfield of Lingard, Periera and Mata?

And here I was, thinking Pep and Klopp were winning in spite of their top players' individual brilliance...

What does OGS need to do to get the backing of the fans? It wasn't too long ago when playing Chelsea away was certainly a loss. He knows how to beat stronger teams such as Liverpool and he knows how to beat weaker teams. Today was a perfect example where he start hamerring the opponent from the get go.

To me, the only thing OGS is missing is lack of trophy. Imo if he gets us at least the FA or the Europa League, fans view will completly change about him.
The fact that he played for United, it shows he's a real United Fan. His saying will have much more impact than let's say a non-united player such as J.M. Fans, owners, players are much more likely to support him in bad string of results than others. OGS has begun a truly amazing project at United and I hope next season stats will show what I'm talking bout.

In short, OGS has more power on how to pull the strings in our club due his history with United than others. This alone can provide someone to build a strong foundation for the team. I don't think anyone wants united to just go through coaches like Chelsea and Barca does. We want our coach to have longevity, similar to SAF and win us trophies year after year.

Cheers mate
