By the Way things have gone in last few seasons in important games, I see us losing against westham and going to leicester needing a win

As long as we beat West Ham, I reckon we'll easily handle Leicester. They would need the win more than we would and we can pick them off on the counter, especially with that creaky back line

I think you're making too much of the EL comment. My point was more about us being stuck in a top 4 race when we could have had it wrapped up and any major comment on preparation for the EL. I'm not even thinking past the 2 games to be honest.

Agreed on Romero. He's nothing amazing. But De Gea has been really poor and looks completely devoid of confidence. I trust Romero to get the basics right over the two games. I can't say the same for De Gea and I don't want a repeat of last year where he costs us top 4.
Fair enough on Europa.

I see your point on Romero but don't share your confidence. While De Gea can make an error as we've seen, he's also made excellent saves in the same games. I'm not confident Romero makes all of those saves.

I think his saves are overplayed this season tbh. I read some stats that show he's basically exactly average in the PL for shot stopping based on the quality of shots faced. So I don't really believe he offsets the mistakes with amazing saves that most keepers aren't making. He's just saving the amounts you'd expect from a mid-table keeper. With added mistakes.

He must be compensating for his howlers with saves he's not expected to make or he would be below average on the expected goals conceded metric surely? Isn't that how it works? So he's erratically terrible and brilliant and shot stopping when he was previously just brilliant.

I don't think that adds up.

He's average with the mistakes built-in as he's conceded goals from them. With the mistakes, he's at zero. If he didn't make the mistakes and we'd conceded less goals he'd have a positive score, no?

I have a nasty feeling Moyes will get West Ham up for Wednesday just because its us. They've already beaten us this season and I'm sure he'd love to lead them to the double over us

I want to be going into the last day with the only question being do we finish 3rd or 4th, I don't trust the players to be going into the last day needing a win

I think West Ham win, we then draw with Leicester
Liverpool have been poor recently plus it would impede us, I predict a draw or win for Chelsea there. It will be the only time I ever support Liverpool!

Hopefully I'm being overly pessimistic and get a nice surprise...

West Ham are better than Leicester at the moment and are often a nightmare for us. However, as it's at home I'm a bit more relaxed.

Draw tomorrow. Win on Sunday.

2-1 WHU
1-1 Leicester

Lack for proper rest with tired legs could ruin our season, but I am still optimistic we could snatch a win and a draw.

Not sure if it’s been discussed but what happens if us and Leicester both finish on same points and GD in 4th?

We just need to avoid defeat in the last 2 games and we are guaranteed at least 4th. Will we be able to do it, that's the question. It's not the first time that they have messed up the chance to go above Chelsea and Leicester.

Anything could happen tbh. We look totally knackered so I'd be happy just to scrape home. Fear the worst after Sunday's unforgivable stupidity.

Liverpool beats Chelsea
We beat West Ham
Chelsea go down 1-0 early vs Wolves
LC and Man Utd play a dull draw and Chelsea lose 2-1

LC and Man Utd top 4 and Lampard has a fit.

I'm still confident that we're getting into the Champion's League, but it'd probably be on the back of two ugly draws.

0-0
1-1

I am very worried after today and after the last few games. I think we are gassed.

Two draws will do it to finish above Leicester and at this point I'm not sure we are getting them.

I think Liverpool will beat Chelsea and then Chelsea will beat Wolves so IMO we'll need 6 points to leapfrog them.

We've 72 hours until we play again.
2 games to put in one final massive effort to fall over the line.

I'm going

Utd 1-1 WHU.

Leicester 1-1 United

We'll scrape in.

I'm worried.
I”m confident that we”ll win tomorrow,it won’t be a cakewalk, but I expect us to win 2-0.I actually fancy our chances of beating Leicester on the final day of the season...Leicester will have to win that game and score a few goals and that could give us a great chance to kill them on the break.Leicester are a shambles right now,so I think we”ll win 3-1 on the final day and seal 3rd place...

We owe them so.
I hope we go at them 100 miles an hour
I was at the game at OT when we had won the title and could have sent them down on the last day and we failed. Even the crowd were chanting “send them down.”

These aren't the scores they're just how many penalties each team will be awarded.

The Chelsea vs Wolves game will also involve at least one penalty being awarded to Manchester United.

2-2 draw
2-1 defeat

I expect we'll buckle under the pressure.

This will be like a cup final for Moyes. Expecting a massive West Ham performance, holding us to a draw.

2-0 Too much for West Ham tonight.

2-2 an intense game with LCFC, that could have a bit of everything, I expect it could be quite heated.

We've found Martin Keown's account.

I'm fearing another of our notorious slow starts tonight, letting West Ham take the lead and us then fighting to get back on terms by half-time. Another slow start after half-time sees them back in the lead, and then we pile-forward for ages looking for a second equaliser, leaving us open on the counter for their better rested/fresher in-form players to force a defensive/keeper feck-up to kill the game.

Leicester I see a late equaliser by them after we try to see the game out; Vardy of course scores, but that ex-City player costing us can't be ruled-out, maybe even Evans.

Liverpool losing is a big call, but a committed Chelsea team on a high from the weekend, with it all to play for against a team waiting for the after-match party and no fans to create an atmosphere - could happen.

Wolves are dull as feck, once Chelsea break-through then I think they see it out despite their own dodgy defence. Not a big call this one.

The last seven years have taken their toll
