Is Roy Keane actually a good pundit

He's entertaining but he's too busy coming off as well hard. I don't think he's very insightful. I agree he would entertaining as a commentator.

The look on his face coming back after the Villa situation was so funny. It’s tongue in cheek and dry wit. He is a very funny man and I will always click his videos. Absolute legend!

I give zero fecks about analysis after a game, or before. I used to love it when I was younger but I don't give feck now. I only tune in for drama and Keane provides that

I'll definitely get pelters for this (off Irish people) but while we're on the topic of an Irish pundit, punditry as a whole peaked with Dunphy, Giles and Liam Brady.

They couldn't pronounce players names, they did absolutely no research, they talked complete shit and they looked like they were about to have a scrap every single night.

It was fantastic.

Exactly - he was clearly taking the piss, but the reaction on here and elsewhere was like people reckon he truly beleived it was disgusting for them, to be celebrating survival.

Some of his comments leave me in hysterics. Dead pan as anything, you can't tell if he's being serious or not and he doesn't give a feck he'll say anything to anyone. Brilliant.

Nah you’re right. It was a shit show. The funniest was when we played AC Milan in 2010 and they were going on about how old and tired the Milan players were basically, talking about the likes of Seedorf. Giles came out with something along the lines of “maybe these players performed back in the day, maybe they did their work and running, but there’s no way for us to know that.” No way for them to know that! As they’re working as pundits for European football. No way to know what Clarence Seedorf or Nesta were like at their peak!

Or Dunphy announcing “there’s something rotten at United” after (I think) we beat Benfica 1-0 away in the autumn of 2006. As we went on to win 3 titles in a row, win the CL and finish runner up in another.

also “left his wife to run off with some young one” but that’s less to do with punditry and more just chaos.

Dunphy was saying "theres something rotten at utd "every week since 1999

My favourite was after we beat Valencia in the second round one year "this utd team are going nowhere " cue looks from Bill and Johnny then "well apart from the quarter finals of the champions league "

This. Anyone who thinks he's serious all the time is probably retarded.
