I feel sorry for teams in their position. They nearly make it, fail and then their best players get poached.
They likely would've been relegated and poached regardless, but I get what you're saying.

I love you, Beppe
And if it's quite alright
I need you, Beppe
To warm the lonely night
I love you, Beppe
Trust in me when I say
Oh, pretty Beppe
Don't bring me down, I pray
Oh, pretty Beppe
Now that I've found you, stay
And let me love you, Beppe
Let me love you

Where are Arsenal getting the money from? Laying 50 people off, but still signing three quite expensive players and extending Aubameyang's contract without moving anyone on.

They have like 300 million in the bank. They were always really rich, they just refused to spend under Wenger, hence their current predicament and poor squad.

Gabriel is a really solid signing for them tbh. Scary.

Thank God for Inter though. Never imagined they'd actually take him off our hands permanently.

Arsenal’s owner and his wife together are worth around 18 billion. The fact that financial fair play has been lifted for next season for teams in Europe mean Arsenal could potentially blow most sides out of the water financially if they really wanted to go for it this season (they won’t as the Kroenkes couldn’t give a shit about football)

Giving UEFA a giant middle finger

Have always found it weird how the chequebook manager tag that gets attached to Jose rarely ever gets brought up with Pep when he's gotta be getting up there in terms of highest spending managers ever
For me, the reason is the football his teams play. He uses the signings to play football which is easily the most pleasing on the eye. If he used those signings to sit back and counter everyone would say the same thing as Jose.

Romano confirms that United and Sancho have come to a 100% personal agreement.
Hasn't this personal term agreement not come already 100 times? Only people saying otherwise are politically briefed, it looks

Before this, Romano mentioned that we were close to a full agreement. This is the first time he's confirmed a 100% agreement.

This is interesting. Highly-sought-after left back Aaron Hickey of Hearts is apparently going to join Bayern Munich according to Bild.

Crystal Palace have already been linked with Ollie Watkins, but they've also offered a contract to free-agent Ryan Fraser.

Other key points:
  • West Ham, Sheffield United, and Leeds are monitoring Watkins.
  • West Ham are also interested in Said Benrahma.
  • Eberechi Eze's attracting interest from Palace, West Brom, Villa, and Leeds.

Dan Friedkin will buy Roma from James Pallotta for 450 + 80 million Euros even though Pallotta initially set the price to 700 million Euros.

Dan Friedkin is an American business who is a CEO Toyota distribution company and owner of his Friedkin Companies (which includes the Toyota distribution company as well as luxury resorts).

Remember former Atletico Madrid and Barcelona player Arda Turan? He's now signed for Galatasaray for a second spell there.

@mazhar13 is a good version of @Fridge chutney - sends in loads of tweets at once, but ones we actually want to see!

Willian on a 3+1 year deal at Arsenal will literally be Ozil on £250k p/w never playing in a few seasons

The Marc-Andre Ter Stegen saga is over before it even started.

Leceister are also confirmed to be looking to loan in Trincao from Barcelona. He's had a very good season in Portugal with Braga.

If anyone's looking for the actual full article, here it is:

40 + 1 seems pricy for a player who just got relegated, but there you go.
£1m add ons?? Seems redundant.

Speaking of which, it's been a while since we've seen Fridge around. I will be honest, I've been tempted to Tweet a few of the lower English leagues' transfer-related news, particularly that of Wigan's plight and their outgoings. I believe I've already posted one a few weeks back.

Please no  Only lower league Tweets I like are from our former players (or current players leaving/loaned out)
