Were you expecting toffee and cake?

Not much else supporters of Manchester United can respond with to people who continually slate our manager while claiming to be fans
Learn to live with criticism of the manager, he is not Sir Alex to be out of reach. And stop this stupid statement "claiming to be fans" thing, you dont know me or any other poster here and you dont know how much I or any other poster here care for the club, people have all the right to criticize who ever they want from the board, the manager or the players if one season goes by and a club in the size and prestige of our club does not win a title. Cut the nonsense and accept criticism. If you want discuss the criticism fine, otherwise dont moan about people criticizing here.

I dont feel entitled to win something every year, thats our difference. Im not entitled.

If you want to be free to criticise OGS, I'll be free to criticise his critics. So how's about YOU cut the nonsense and accept the criticism?

BTW: Look up the dictionary definition of the word 'supporter'. You might find a clue there about expected behaviour to be called such.

Supporter of the club. Ole is not Manchester united.
I will gladly accept criticism to my opinions, but comments like "the rats came out of the their holes again" is not criticism is low class insult and has only one place, the bin.

The Ole police is not even attempting to issue warnings anymore. It's straight up nonsensical criticism of the posters, instead of their argument. Very Trumpian and equally ridiculous.

I guess it's our fault we can't see the vision that doesn't exist. A bit like those new clothes the empiror was supposed to be wearing.

It is ridiculous to compare with Klopp. He had won the Bundesliga with Dortmund. He was more like SAF at Aberdeen before he came to United.
I don’t think a single poster on the forum actually compares Ole to Klopp.

What they do, including myself, is use the measure of one of the very best managers in the game and point out that it didn’t take him a single transfer window to get things right.

The same goes for Pep if you would rather use him as the example.

The key is being able to process the fact that there is progress in multiple areas of the club from top to bottom, compared to where we were, it’s plain as day really.

3 years without a title, in which Ole was in charge of two of them. In another club he would be sacked today.

so go and support that other club. You'll be much happier. Ta Ra.
You have no right to tell anybody who to support. I support Manchester united, not a manager, and I will keep criticizing him whenever he deserves it till he proves his critics wrong or he leaves the club to a better manager than him. You can only live with it.

Below is your prediction from the 2019/20 season prediction thread:

5th based on the fact we have a mid-table midfield at best, relegation level without Pogba. We'll get dominated by the top teams next season without Herrera's energy being replaced.
Despite having Pogba injured for the majority of the season and not replacing Herrera OGS does significantly better than even you have projected and we have a very good record against top 6 teams. And yet you still want him sacked. And you mock those who think OGS is doing well.

Stop being such a hypocrite, and that's why your opinions on this subject have zero credibility.

I don't think they do. Plenty have just double downed, hoping one day they can say they were right.

I don't classify such as 'supporters' because they don't support at all, and instead are hell bent on creating a toxic atmosphere around the club.
FFS any fan from United that spends time in this forum of course wants the best for the club. Its nonsense what youre saying, do you seriously think Ole out posters would rather see the team fail to come to this forum and post "I told you so" FFS, how petty.

Good. Shoot on site policy for negative knee jerk posters who offer up no plan other than ‘Ole Out’

A lot of fans are unable to look at things rationally.

If they can't see we've developed massively in the last few months and as a finishing position versus the end of last year, I don't know what you can tell these people.
Greenwood has developed a lot these past few months as well but we are still looking for an upgrade. Why not do the same with Ole?

That’s exactly what happens

Which is why all these anti-Ole threads bump like a mofo whenever we lose. It’s tedious in its predictability.

With the same posters cheerleading Ole’s demise. Come on, it’s blatant.

The thread is sack him now or keep him. People need to put forward good arguments for sacking him or they'll rightly get called out for it. Saying stuff like 'anyone Ole in is part of a ****' , 'he's the worst manager in the league', 'PE teacher', 'clueless', doesn't really cut it.

It's also not the 'do we think Ole can win the league with us?' thread which is a completely different question to the title.
Why not? Those are just different ways of saying he's a bang average manager that has nowhere the talent for a club of Manchester United pedigree. Just like Jessie Lingard who's a bang average player that shouldn't be playing for Manchester United, so is OGS as a manager. He lucked into this job because of nepotism and is being kept afloat by the financial might of MU. Just how many record breaking signings he needs to do to make top 4 and win participation trophies (btw his two record signings are starting to look like busts and the other smart signing is a headless chicken). One needs to be in a **** to think going up against the best managers with a bang average manager would end in anything but tears. We're not gonna win anything with this manager, so the sooner he steps down, the better -- especially while there are better alternatives available.

I mean I don't even have to say anything, you just proved my point again by attacking the poster, not the point. I'd even forgotten I made the post but you seriously seem like you have an inquisitor complex. I've dealt with plenty people like you who do not like independent thought and more often than not proved them to be silly (I'm being kind).

As for my prediction, it was exactly that. We didn't have Bruno at the time and Matic was nowhere to be found. Ole clearly didn't rate Fred and so our midfield was woeful. We lost to bloody Burnley at home before Bruno joined FFS. How is that prediction not realistic in that scenario.

I've told you more than once that your bullying ain't going to work, so you need to can it. I also won't stand and watch you play some enforcer role, so you can keep simmering with your simplistic labels.

576 pages and 23,000 posts suggest all is not well with Ole’s appointment. People need to accept differences of opinion.

It depends how far away from challenging the club was when he took over.
Off course we should be taking into consideration the state of the team when he took over, but the progress should also be measured by something. Total points in the league (how far where we from the title winner when he took over and did he manage to close the gap?), overall performance of the team, minor titles.

I think unless we are winning title after title you will see the same. Jesus I remember some discontent in certain periods under Ferguson too.

I was pure Ole out but I will be patient one more year..

He made a huge mistake signing Maguire and AWB so let's hope he learns from them going forward.

Blaming Ole for the loss today makes no sense at all unless you didn't watch the game and just looked up the score. We win this game 9/10 times playing like we did today but it was just one of those games where they score two from two chances and we score none despite creating loads.
I like your enthusiasm and loyalty, but to stake that we win the game 9/10 is absurd, and papering over cracks
I am inplay bettor and the only team that were ever 9/10 to win were seville near the end.

Even leading one nil we were nowhere near 9/10.

Im Ole out, Im never happy when my team losses and if I was for sure wouldnt be to win a freaking argument in an internet forum.

Have you ever think maybe there are people with different opinions? Or are you from the ones that think you should blindly support anything related to the club otherwise youre not a "true fan"?

On the contrary I’ve wanted rid of all three previous managers until I spotted the blindingly obvious improvements we’ve made under Ole.

Did you expect us to win the league this year? Is that it?

Not gonna lie, this has nothing to do with Ole in or out, just mental stuff going around lately, said in another thread, you cant even mention a name of another manager in this place without some lunatic sees it as a weapon vs Ole.

True. What's meant to be normal discussion is getting very touchy for some reason.

Yeah, lets sack Ole because he's a terrible manager because its his fault we had 20 shots on goal and failed to score from them.

Lets bring back the managers we had before that who used to get us less than 3 shots on goal every game. That was amazing football. Ole is so shit. I mean why is he making us play the best football since fergie left. What's all this attacking nonsense. We need to stop creating so many chances, its not the new utd way. Baffling bull shit in here.

Of course not nobody in their right mind expected that. Did I expected more points? Yeah I did, but I didnt expected being 3rd so that kind of evens out.

My critique to Ole is not that he's a bad manager, of course he has some remarkable man managment skills, the squad seems happy and some players have improved under him. But he's not special and I think we should aim for special, a revolutionary manager one that can close the gap between us and Liverpool and City, one that can make us challenge for the UCL again.

No manager would do it with the current squad, but I dont think Ole can do it at all. His tactics are very basic and Im still after 18 months not seeing any definitive playing style. Are we a counter attacking team? Are a possession based team? Do we play from the flanks? Do we play centrally? Each game it seems we are out specting some player to do something magic rather than a system being implemented and getting better.

Thats why we have so many patches IMO, of course no team can be consistent the whole year every team has his ups and downs during the season but our up and downs are really marked. We are either playing like were the best team in the league or we playing as if were fighting relegation. We depend way too much on creativity from our players, if they dont produce anything special by themselves the system wont, and thats on Ole.

See Neegelsmann, results aside you can clearly see what Leipzig aspire too. You can see the managers hand in their play, weve been for over 18 months with Ole and I still dont see it. If we bring more quality players of course well get better, but eventually we will face teams with the same if not better quality than us, and then its the managers job to beat the other manager and I dont think Ole is the man that will do it.

No he isn't.

Poch got Spurs to overperform for several years and did something similar at Southampton. He did this in the Premier league. That is more impressive than anything OGS has done in his managerial career.

Poch is getting linked with the Barca job. Do you seriously think they'd look at OGS? In the eyes of non-United fans, it seems pretty obvious which is the better choice.
Overperform? They got to the final of a cup competition once and only managed to finish 4th in the league that year.

In his time at Spurs he only managed to finish with 80+ points once. In the years before he was manager of Spurs 2010 - 2014 Spurs finished 4th, 5th, 4th and 5th.

In the years he was there he finished 5th, 3rd, 2nd, 4th and 6th. This year was saved by Mourinho.

Im not sure where the overperform idea has come from but its complete horseshit lad, finishing 2nd once is hardly over achieving. You need to revise your version of history one more time.

Do me a favour, look through all these signings that Pochettino made for Spurs and tell me which ones you'd want to see at United. There 27 players to choose from, if you say more then 3 I will be shocked. https://www.planetfootball.com/quic...ottenham-have-made-under-mauricio-pochettino/

Pochettino is being linked because he has an agent but no job and there is an opening. He can be linked all day, he is never getting it. Sure he was linked with us too, he's not here though is he. Paper click bait for dummies.

My opinion is Klopp was clear about how he wanted to play and what he wanted to achieve and he did that from day one with the likes of Clyne, Sakho, Moreno. I understand the vision that Ole has, I understand he wants to play attacking football with energy, I just do not see the physical substance or the signings to fit that (apart from Bruno). You cannot compare Klopp with Ole (as much as it hurts), it's like comparing YSL to Michael Kors.
He has literally had 2 transfer windows, Klopp has been at Liverpool for what 5 years now? Don't ever forget that until they signed VVD they were bang average.

So, will Ole reach UCL final next year? Because that is what Klopp did on his third season?
