If that was not a factor though, i’d easily find room for Frenkie de Jong. Maybe consider Ter Stegen. Don’t feel i know enough of their defenders to warrant wanting any. Messi is ofcourse a given, no discussion. Griezmann and gag-ball are no-go’s.
Yeah, there's still a lot of time and transfers aren't always straightforward but I'm getting the feeling this will be similar to our 2018 summer window where we signed Fred and Dalot to build on a 2nd place finish.
Does have a bit of the Mourinho summer 2018 feel about it (complete with a defeat to Sevilla).

It was always likely to happen. Having a terrible transfer window is par for the course really.
