This one is done i think, it was between us and Napoli but they need to shift Koulibaly first. Arsenal is offering just a bit more right now.I thought Arsenal are broke and do not have money to spend? I don’t think United will buy him though
Don't think we can afford it if the Sancho deal comes off. He also plays in the same position as Pogba (and Fred/McTominay) and it looks like he is now staying with us for at least one more year. Why are we not in for Alcantara?
He can play The Matic role as he showed against Barcelona and Chelsea.Don't think we can afford it if the Sancho deal comes off. He also plays in the same position as Pogba (and Fred/McTominay) and it looks like he is now staying with us for at least one more year.
The problem is that Ole clearly isn't looking for someone in that role this summer which is a huge mistakeHe can play The Matic role as he showed against Barcelona and Chelsea.
Which is what people are moaning about with AWBValencia before his last season was better. Football is not about sliding tackles only. Tony V was hardly beaten for pace and his footballing ability is miles ahead. His only draw back was his crossing.
He can do, but I think he's better adapted to a #8 role. His midfield partner at Bayern (usually either Kimmich or Goretzka) is stronger than Pogba defensively. He can play The Matic role as he showed against Barcelona and Chelsea.
Its clear he wants to play for Klopp, I think thats why Liverpool feel so sure about this deal and are clinching over cents. Why are we not in for Alcantara?
Valencia was a better footballer and a right-back. Unfortunately, age and injuries got the better of him in the latter part of his United career. Williams is nowhere near ready to be regular back-up to Shaw. Rashford has been severely affected since Shaw's injury.Valencia before his last season was better. Agree with everything you've said.Valencia was a better footballer and a right-back. Unfortunately, age and injuries got the better of him in the latter part of his United career. Williams is nowhere near ready to be regular back-up to Shaw. Rashford has been severely affected since Shaw's injury.
I would confidently say if United had comparable players to VvD, Robertson and Trent Alexander we would have a better Eleven than Liverpool. I don't even think we'd need to sign Sancho on the right. It's the weakness of AWB that is highlighting our desperation for a creative force on the right. AVB needs to learn his timing of runs and focus on positional play. However, good he is at last-ditch tackles they are basically is giving away throw-ins and corners in dangerous positions and gives the opposition time to regroup.
In the attacking stakes he certainly has more potential but we have no idea of what he's like defensively at the top level. His injury record is a concern as well whereas AWB has a shit load more resilience.Agree with everything you've said.
I am hoping Ethan Laird can at least usurp him because honestly, AWB is not my cup of tea.
This goes against reports from France that we're out of the race and reports from Italy that we've yet to reach out to Lille for negotiations. The article itself doesn't even mention that we've submitted a bit for him.Tweet

Thiago himself wants to go to Liverpool and has already agreed personal terms. With that being the case, it'd have been tough for us to get him unless we paid a large amount of money. Why are we not in for Alcantara?

I spent seven incredible years at PSG, it was a great stage.
There have been contacts with Benfica and other clubs but nothing is defined yet. When it is, everyone will know. They are a great team, competitive and important.
If I'm lucky enough to be able to join them, then I will be happy. I am very calm, we will see how I will walk this new stage of my life.

So their current deeper midfield options are Winks, Sissoko, Lo Celso, and Dier. Dier is being played more as a central defender, so beyond the first 3, there's no one else who can play there. I wonder who Mourinho is planning to bring in to add more depth to the team.

Yeah, that slipped out of my mind completely.Hojberg?
See, he's not a bad player, but I'm not sure that he'll add much to Fulham. Joe Bryan's a better player going forward, and defensively, I'm not sure if Antonee offers more than Joe does.Tweet

We had a significant fall when Ferguson retired but at least other than Moyes each of our managerial appointments had some sense behind it. Barcelona are way worse than us is these appointments. Messi is single handedly keeping their club relevant.Tweet

I still don't get why they'd get another big man to play up front. Does he play any differently to Poulsen?
They would be absolute morons for not paying 30 mil for him. Shows how heavily effected they are by the coronavirus, first couldn't buy and now not playing 30 mil for a world class midfielder.Tweet

Coaching isn't that straightforward, unfortunately. I haven't watched Sorloth much, but from what I saw, he wasn't really much of a runner. What made Werner so dangerous was his dynamism and constant movement in the final third. His pace also made him dangerous on the break. Does Sorloth offer any of that? Not from what I know of him in the PL. Has he changed since then? I don't know. They have a bloody good coach that's why?

Reasonably quick for his size but not explosive by any means. Am still unconvinced he’ll make it there, had no standout attributes when I watched him.Coaching isn't that straightforward, unfortunately.
