McTominay should be worried about his place in the squad if he's signed.

Just waiting for the inevitable tweets stating we're not in for him. That's how it works right?

This is picking up pace with a lot of reports saying its to United! Great signing if it is us. Just seems too quick for us!

He is not competing with mcTominay, and instead will be rotation with Pogba and Bruno.

We do need to sell McT while he has some value, somehow buy Camavinga.

Inevitably, as soon as this is disproven the fella from Dawson’s Creek will get dog’s abuse on Twitter.

Rather Grealish but if we’re getting him because he’s cheaper. I’m all for it
Same. Can play instead of Fernandes if he needs a rest, can play instead of Pogba if he needs a rest, and is clearly good enough to play that third midfield role if he settles. If Villa want silly money then I'd be quite happy for us to go for a genuinely good value option. Would prefer him to Wijnaldum for example, but I see them as very similar in the sense they're versatile, reliable and could play to a good level at almost any club. Another year with Pereira and Lingard as back up would surely prevent us from even challenging.

Van de Beek, Sancho and a CB would be a very good window for us. Especially as we’ve done nothing so far but if we could pull these out the bag we’d be set for next season.
VDB, Sancho and Camavinga more like.

We will have great starting options and depth in midfield and attack.

Where would he play for united? His best quality is getting in the box. Don’t really see what he adds to united apart from squad depth. Won’t be a starter in this midfield.

Seems like this might be happening. I think he would be a very good addition to the squad. It's hard to buy a better player than him for 35 million these days. And he could potentially play in both Matic's, Pogba's and Bruno's positions. We sorely need a backup midfielder that Ole trusts enough to give those three a rest and some competition.

Regardless of Sancho signing or not, I honestly would be happy with this signing. He may not improve our First XI, but he'll keep our First XI strong enough, when one of our key players is injured (which is inevitable, looking at our history), drop in form or in need of rotation.

Our First XI looks so good, but one key player away to "crumble" (well, maybe not on Matic position. Fred is good enough as cover).

On the bench on big games.

Start 30 games when one of Pogba or Bruno is injured or needs to be rested.

30 starts + 20 sub appearances over a season.

Do you think he is of much better quality than Pereira, Lingard, old Mata?
