Fjørtoft reads the gossip and writes something that can be twisted no matter the outcome. Classic bullshit from a pathetic man in his 50’s trying to stay relevant in a football world he was never really a part of. Stay off the internet old man, let the real journos do their job.
He's getting paid a fair penny via this enterprise, isn't he? All these reactions to him are perfect as they generate more revenue, so the onus is on people to not be such willing fodder for his baiting.

His performances in these England games mean are completely right not to pay 120 million for him. Look I think he's a fantastic talent but for that sort of money I'd want Neymar, Messi, Lewandowski levels and he's not doing that

Deepthroating information to Howard Nurse.
I guess it's a case of us simply not beeing able to afford him on top of VdB and trying to publically spin the narrative.
I think we can afford him. We just think Dortmund want to sell, Sancho wants to come and the price is inflated. It’s been a poker game all along which is why I’d be surprised if we blinked now. Dortmund play next Friday, if we are to make a move with Sancho then requesting to leave then next week is the time to do it for maximum impact.

But... none of those players come for 120m. This isn't 5 years ago.

You are right, that doesn't mean we should spend that type of money on him. He's a fantastic player but it's crazy money for a player who let's be honest, has done very little in football yet

You’ve basically just said his performances in these two england friendlies means we shouldn’t pay 120 million for him. Seriously?

So if he scored a hat trick in these two meaningless games then we should pay the 120m without any hesitation right?

We are looking to sign a player. Not a computer mate.

He's done precisely enough to be evaluated in the bracket he's in - it's not some random figure, it is an evaluation based on merit plus age, plus potential and a few other things (marketability, being English etc.) .

I don't know how much you think you can get away with paying for such a package in 2020. It's just that fees are adjusted now and aren't any different to the premiums top youngsters of any era go through relative to those who haven't got the football world's interest piqued.

Separating Sancho for criticism over the international break makes absolutely no sense when proven PL superstars have had even worse games these past two performances. A myriad of reasons come to mind as to why that may be, not least of which self-preservation before the actual football starts over the next week or two. But, obviously further to that, if you set players up incorrectly, you cannot possibly expect them to go out of their way to bound over the problems outside of majors where many are prepared to do anything they possibly can to turn a game. You're just not going to get that in a glorified friendly.

On another note, if Sancho is on the verge of the biggest move of his life, you can forgive him for having his mind completely elsewhere at the minute. Staying fit and passing the medical obviously taking precedence over busting a gut and risking injury in a game of next to no worth.

Not an excuse for Sancho alone - although his circumstances are different - as you see all but the debutants holding back in these minor games.

This bonuses shite is scraping the barrel. "How can we possibly breathe some life into this dead-as-a-dodo story?". He's not coming. Get the feeling we might not sign anyone else now. Maybe Reguilón, but not even sure we're that interested in him.
Ok. Thanks for popping by to see us anyway.

Last time the share price increased so quickly, was just before Pogba was signed

Yep had a significant price increase today. The price has been rising steadily with the market over the last few days but today’s jump of 9% is pretty big. Someone knows something!

For context, VDB transfer saw a rise in the share price consistently for a week before it was reported we agreed a fee.

Why would spending 100m make people want to invest in us? Surely it means smaller dividends...or am I not understanding how the stock market works
Well I guess if you wanted to make a comparison, when a big company is about to make a big acquisition of some form, it can sometimes lead to a jump in the share price.

Was it Castles who made the latest claim or the host McGarry? Because from what I'm being told it was McGarry who is making the claim.

What's happened mate? I've been busy creating my FPL team.. Please guide me guys..
Basically there’s been a news leak that Sancho is due a bonus payment from Dortmund for completing a year and getting 10 caps for england. It was an agreement in his extension last summer. He’s now due 1.5m bonus payment. Hence the delay as him and his agent asked for it to be delayed.

On a sidenote to that - Share price took a significant pump today of 9% increase.

Third note - some fans believe he’s shit and isn’t worth 100m as he’s played rubbish in two meaningless Friendlies.

new headline: Sancho to Utd following bonus payment and shit mouthing by redcafe.

I’ve listened to it. It was the host saying he had that information and Duncan castle said he wouldn’t be surprised if that was the case.

Cheers.. But it seems the claim about the bonus payment is being made by Ian McGarry who isn't the most reliable IMO.

Because your obtaining an asset which adds value to your business as well as your football teams ability to attain honours. It brings a new market of sponsors, fan base and merchandise revenue.

Investors and speculators would therefore buy in expectation that the price of the stock will rise in the future due to the above mentioned.

Didn't notice him at all today. Did he ever touch the ball? Still, we should make this deal. We never had a chance to sign Messi, Hazard or Griezmann. This lad could end up being one of the best. Then again.....
