It's all entertainment, but some individual conversations with players are quite the nail in the head, especially with Alli. The guy looks like he could but doesn't want to be league's best.

I'm gonna miss Jose a bit when Levy will inevitably sack him and this maybe is his last year or years in Premier League.

Dele kind of strikes me as the too cool/smart for class type based on the show. He clearly is a smart and sharp guy but seemingly almost to his detriment where its as if he feels like he could probably do something other than footie and be fine with that too kinda mentality. I do like him better because of the show though - he s not the massive cnut i thought he was.

Yeah i was talking about the documentary, seen a few fans upset at what he said.
I think it was for dramatic effect, but you don't talk to your manager with that tone in any employment and you certainly don't say "Tell Daniel I am looking for him" as you walk out the door . He likes to talk our Danny and like he said himself sometimes he talks before he thinks.

I nearly died at that part

I like Rose he's a straight talker, no chaser just straight to the point.

Aye, he looks a different type of cnut than typical boring ones, it feels like he's enjoying it too much in his comfort zone as he knows no one will take his place in Spurs & England.

On the other hand he's still 24 so he got maybe one or two more years to take a step towards biggest stage.

Rose had a point until he mentioned 'im looking for Daniel'. Sounded like a school kid.

Its a fun documentary to watch, but as most have said, its only interesting cos of Jose. Hes the character to follow. The rest are not interesting at all. If youre spending time on 'do you put water after or putting paste', its an issue with content.

They probably did cut out a lot of the stuff that would make the team look bad. And it would make sense the actual tactics would have been discussed much before they showed (and cut out) whilst what they show is the cliched stuff.

It is kinda damning on Poch that he was there for five years, and when he left, there were hardly any leaders in the team.
Overall its fun to watch.

Not really, I think that was just confirmation he heard what Jose said and so he is going to leave.

Really? It was infantile, in what job is that possible, we have been trying to sell Rose for a while, the fact he probably cant pass a medical doesn't help.

In the job where you tell your manager if you’re not in their plans you intend to leave. To which your manager pretty much confirms you are not in their plans. In your job you would resign (prob find a new one first). In his case he goes to speak to Levy about arranging a transfer. Its pretty simple.

I wasnt speaking on the fact you has been attempting to sell before.

If a player goes to the manager and says I want to know if Im in the plans or In leaving. Then if they ain't in the plans they are obviously going to arrange a move.

They are gonna storm out and say tell the chief executive I wanna see him? It was for the documentary, even Rose himself said after that he talks first and thinks later. He is an employee and not a particularly relevant lately.

Pretty sure you dont need to see the CEO to resign in a normal work place. But in Rose case the CEO is the one who he needs to speak to about progress on clubs wanting him as you saw in the show.....

 Yeah an employee can demand to see a CEO at any time, jesus man, It was for the show. I'm pretty sure if you seen Phil Jones running round Old TrAfford demanding to see Woody you would quite rightly laugh your balls off. Please, please get Rose to resign.

What are you not getting that this is a football club and not a normal work place? References to employee (even though footballers are actually club assets on fixed term contracts)

Anyway my last post on the topic. Although I do agree these things were staged for show also.

I had no issue with how rose spoke to Jose. It was the ending part that seemed so funny as soon as he mentioned Levy

One thing that surprised me is how involved Daniel Levy is with the club. Seems more like a director of football than a chairman who just pumps money. Unsure how comfortable I’d be as a player if the chairman was always around day to day and never gave the manager or players room to breathe or express frustrations.

Adding on to that Levy just gives me bad vibes, very creepy individual. He looks like a distant cousin of Jeff Bezos and they probably have annual meetings on Epstein’s island to drink the blood of babies.

The fact that Levy has been actively trying to sell him just proves it was all bullshit, last year Rose turned down Watford cause it was "below him".

It's pretty shit so far.

I think the Netflix one with Sunderland is much better.

Don’t really get the people praising Jose here. I’ve watched 2 eps so far and it just confirms what I already thought that he’s really just full of cliches and trying to be old school but ultimately has lost his touch at the top level. Kane also seems like a bit of an idiot and Dele is a child still.
Agreed. Guy feels like a complete has been. His man management no longer works for this era sadly.

gets boring after a while. Same thing with injuries. Same words used against any opponent (bad guys, feckin hell, we press high, believe, good guys dont get girls blah blah blah). The transfer bit with Bergwijn and Rose meeting was cool though.

One thing I just don't understand is the Eriksen situation.

Levy says that they just can't get in contact with his agent and that there's no dialogue on his future. In the next episode Levy is shaking Eriksen's hand and saying good morning. Why can't him or Jose just pull him to the side and ask him what he wants to do, or why his agent won't get in contact with the club, or ask for a meeting with his agent?

Surely Eriksen can't be so brashly stonewalling them to the point where his agent is in hiding and he refuses to say anything himself when confronted by Jose or Levy?

Just seems impossible for that to be happening.
Don’t think that’s how dealings work in top level football. They’re not gonna lock him in a room and make him sign. All contract talks probably have to go through the player representative and agent otherwise the only interactions between Erickson with club reps will be small talk or hi/bye.

Better in what way? It was fecking awful from a Sunderland point of view.
I know what he means.. it was more real, more emotional. Yours is mostly PR, a lot of it doesn't feel natural, particularly the Levy parts. For example one of the best scenes was the Son red card, i loved the tunnel cam because that was raw, but as soon as he's in the locker room with a camera shoved up in his face, he's much more subdued.

Do Spurs have the most boring set of players in the league? Interesting how despite the gloss some things do stick - they all seem a bit too nice, and Mourinho seems to be lacking in detailed tactics.
Likeable documentary and people. If they make one for next season I think we may be able to track nearly a full Mourinho club cycle!

The part that stood out to me, was him trolling the team...asking who has won the fa cup before...............Im amazed their are people praising Mourinho....Look where Spurs finished....its clear his man management is outdated. I can just imagine him saying to Pogba i can teach you how to be a winner, when Pogba has won multiple league titles in Italy as well as a world cup..........

According to players who have played for Jose he is very detailed. Maybe they didn't want to show this? Jose under the European system of a head coach may work though he gets into fights with players. Maybe he is right that the most important man in a club is the Manager. I have a feeling that Spurs could spring a few surprises this season.
