Blimey!! basically a 1000 pages of not a lot.
Silly season is silly.

Bet Woodward is sitting comfortably in his mansion, laughing at all the muppets on here while checking the publicity Manchester United got from the transfer saga. All of this, without a single cent spent. The guy must be a genius in the Glazers’s eyes. Whatever “fund” available go to a Woodward pay rise later.

I’ll be just disappointed as many in here if we don’t land Sancho, but I also do not think it would be the end of the world.

Many seem to be writing this current squad off but I really feel it has a lot of potential to grow and get better. We have a young squad that is still growing and hopefully improving. I’m excited to see the improvements of Mason, Martial, and Rashford for a full season. Add in a full season of Bruno and hopefully a fit Pogba this team can easily improve upon last season.

I do understand the concerns about our depth and ability to compete on multiple fronts but I don’t know if Sancho really solves that problem.
There are actually players of such quality that they can compensate for other issues in a team.
There are several ways that a football project can achieve results, but in the end, the most successful of recent times, Real Madrid, achieved what they did by throwing money at whatever problems they had, signing the shiniest players they could, throwing them into a squad and hoping it would work. And it eventually did.
Those players are the most expensive and talked about for a reason. They're generational players. They are the difference between a good team and a team that will make history.
We can be good without Jason Sancho, but we will never be as good as we could have been without such a player.

I read this in hope they decide to show some ambition, they might still sign him yet. But when it comes to our board, I've definitely learnt not to raise hopes too much. Ultimately, they are business people who use us to liquidate their other enterprises. Woodward's good at commercial side of things, useless at the football part. Sigh!

This was a publicity stunt masterminded by Woodward and helped by the dozens of muppets in various online platforms.
Well done, Ed.

The direction of this deal will be clear in the next 5-7 days and not because of a Telegraph article written by a hit miss journalist thats unaware Sancho pushed for personal terms to be agreed. I`m 100% sure a bid will go in this week as our season starts soon and we`ll want it done by then but whether it will be what BVB want is the question but I expect it to cause a chain reaction of Sancho pushing for a move(he cant push for the move until we launch an official bid)and BVB being slightly more willing to negotiate(accepting add ons instead of installments)
This week is make or break IMO if it doesn`t happen in 5-7 days it won`t happen at all but Utd have gotten too sucked into the deal to end up with their dicks in their hands in the last minute so I reckon it gets done after an agonizing months of speculation.
I wouldn't be surprised if it dragged out right until the last few days just like we saw with Bruno in January.

Shouldn't be the case but wouldn't be the least bit surprised if it suddenly sped up if we drop any points in the first couple of games.

I am starting to think that we don't really have any money and Woody is readying the "We tried" narrative as we speak.

Would be great if the itk brigade would disappear
Same people will come up with new accounts in next window with new or same targets and the story will continue. There are far too many people who blindly believe random twitter ITKs.

As far as Sancho goes, keep the faith!

After moving out from Sancho deal, we will be going all in for Mbappe the next summer. Better player, but costs more than Sancho.

Mbappe, Rashford, Martial, Greenwood.

Genius Ed Woodward!

Seems we cannot agree a fee with Dortmund this summer.
Next summer perhaps we should go for Mbappe instead? A cheeky 110m bid should do the trick, if COVID-19 situation continues?

Meanwhile we should look for loaning options instead as a stop gap. Bale for a year loan with 50% salary paid by us would be good deal?

Imagine waiting for months, reading through all the tweets and bullshits everyday and then one day, finally, it happens. It looked like Sancho was back in London.. after all the briefings by ManUnited, this has to be it, surely he's coming, right?... but then several minutes later we found out that it was an old picture of Nike and Nandos collaboration with Sancho. I think at this point I'm just going to wait till the window is closed.

Today is the day, in my eyes this is what will happen.

My bets:
  • Sancho won't be in Dortmund
  • Press will say United are strongly interested in him
  • Demands are met
  • Sancho will not play for Dortmund again
Signs before Friday

Finally, we will get an objective indicator of how far we are from signing this guy today. If he is not in the squad then its ON.. else who knows what will happen.

If this deal is gonna happen, then this is the week we will see something substantial. If there is no news until the weekend, then we can officially give up on this signing and move on.

Transfer fees are a lifeline for many clubs. Your suggestion would mean a lot of clubs would go bust. Putting a limit on agent fees would is a must. That money goes out of football.
I agree with you that transfer fees are a lifeline for many clubs and I am not saying that we must abolish transfer fees but I am unhappy with how selling clubs are taking advantage of the inflated buyers' demand market now to mark up players' prices so outrageously expensive so to put a stop to this, we should give our ultimatum price and if they refuse, that's it. If every buying club does that, this way, the selling club can no longer sell their want-away players for an arm and a leg.
