Dortmund have a game today, don't they? If we are going to hear any further noises on a bid or anything like that, it will be likely tomorrow. They won't want it to distract their game. Hope to hear some rumblings tonight though. Whether Sancho is in the match day squad or not is also a telling indication
There will be an uptick of United fans watching Dortmund’s first game on Tele

Yea, we could go into the season with just VDB and I don't think we will be able to do enough for them to even give a shit. Way I see it is, if we haven't signed Sancho, or someone of similar quality before the window closes, their intentions as owners have been made crystal clear, if they weren't already
If the club fail to sign Sancho, it has to go down as a monumental fcuk up.
We have been after Sancho since he was 17, and yet despite 3 years of closely monitoring, we had no idea of his valuation..???

I have to say, I don't believe the board ever had any serious intention of signing Sancho, its all just been a ruse of appeasement to the fans and manager.

No doubt there will be early calls to sack the manager when things start to go awry, but Solskjaer has been deliberately sabotaged by the board.

That's a weird take. Why would they need to string along and appease the fans and manager if it's eventually not going to happen? Isn't there going to be a much bigger backlash after that? The board may be doing things slow but they aren't that stupid i think

Isn't that the point of paywall? I don't know if mods actively look into this nowadays, but I remember @Niall asking us not to post contents from a paywall'd article.
Yeah please don’t post articles from news sites here, especially when behind a paywall, just link to them.

If he plays tonight or is in the squad then I’d imagine we are nowhere near to signing him.

Good News even though I’m not sure why it’s a big thing imagine we’ll break page 1000 today easily.

Sancho will obviously play today. I hope nobody is putting too much stake on that

Maguire played in Blue shortly before leaving. Fernandes played for Sporting just before leaving. It happens.

It’s just conspiracy theorists. £bn football clubs don’t act like this - but it helps them rationalise their world, so let them carry on with their crack pot ideas.

After moving out from Sancho deal, we will be going all in for Mbappe the next summer. Better player, but costs more than Sancho.

Mbappe, Rashford, Martial, Greenwood.

Genius Ed Woodward!
Don’t forget about Messi on a free.

Fernandes played for Sporting like.. 3 days?.. Before he left.

I don't get the "he's playing so he's staying" thing.

Footballers tend to do their job.

Didn’t Fernandes request to stay as he wanted to play in the game I think against Benfica.

Most selling and buying clubs aren’t going to want to risk an injury of a player happening in the middle of a deal when it could lead to the deal falling through. Let’s say god forbid Sancho tears an ACL or worse. Do you think United will still buy him?

I’m not saying it won’t happen, just that if he is in the starting 11 I don’t suspect he’ll be signing this week.

I don’t know about being deliberately sabotaged but I do feel he’s been sold a load of bullshit about our capabilities to compete in this market.

I suspect they also sold the “project” to Pogba and Raiola if Raiolas comments are anything to go by regarding pogbas contract so don’t be surprised if that contract extension never gets signed and we start to hear about new challenges.

I felt we had a real opportunity this window to make up some ground, to back Ole even in these unique times but unfortunately it looks as though that isn’t going to happen.

Hope I’m wrong.

Not getting my hopes up but there were little signs that Bruno was off like him being left out of publicity shots on the website etc. Just looking for the same on Sancho

The publicity shots on the webstie wasn't actually a sign, Sporting change it regularly and in some of the previous ones Bruno wasn't in them.

Sancho is better than Haaland imo.
I havnt seen enough of either to make a judgment really, just the off champs league or international match.
Last summer reading here it was haaland who was the best young prospect when we were linked with him and people losing their shit with him being a generational talent we couldn’t miss, no mention of sancho. Now that’s been flipped on it’s head we’re linked with sancho

My goodness. You’d think we just had a funeral in here. Some of the posts are bat shit crazy.

Basically, Ed strung us along all summer even though he had no intention of signing Sancho. It was just to make the fans and manager happy. Makes sense.

Our season is over already because the rest of our team are a bunch of part-time footballers who do the milk rounds during the nights.

I bet some of the posters here are amazingly positive inspiring people to be around!

Nah, Sancho was and is more proven at the moment and has more to his game. It’s possible that Haaland will overcome him, but currently Sancho is the hottest prospect in his age group (with Mbappé being slightly older).

Haaland has never been better than Sancho, not even for one second. Haaland is an incredible goalscorer with genuinely great instincts but he easily finds himself at the periphery of the game.

We're just not positive about giving Pereira another 25 starts this season once one of our starters gets injured or needs a rest.

Why is everyone jumping on the "its over if he starts" bandwagon?

Maguire started for Leicester right until he signed for us? Muppets are falling at huge rates now
