Cafe has a weird love with Wolves players - Adama, Raul,Jota, Neves .

I'm least bothered about this signing.

He's a good signing for them as a back up. But most importantly he fits the profile of player Klopp needs to maintain his high tempo game plan.

feck!! Quality player
Really? Never found him that impressive. Someone who would make for a really good squad player though at a big club, which is I guess what they want. The difference between bringing on him and Shakiri off the bench as opposed to erm Daniel James, is stark.

True. They buy for their system and have a team that is strong at transfers (it's not just Klopp like everyone thinks).

Absolutely this. Amazing how quickly it’s been largely forgotten that Liverpool tried this on.
Amazing how quickly it’s forgotten we’ve sacked no one but arsenal sacked 60 of their staff so they could get Willian and Aubameyang to sign ‘da ting’

Makes more sense than Sarr right now. We’d only lose him, Mane , Salah, Keita to AFCON 2022, so he’d offer no cover when that time comes. I honestly had no idea we’d be in for another forward, so this surprises me but it’s good we’re moving swiftly for the right players in areas we need.

I expect us to announce a few outgoings in the next few days, Hoever could come back to bite us but I can’t see him getting in the team right now.

How the feck are we able to shell that out for Diogo Jota but couldn't pay a bit more for Werner.

Good player imo but not sure a back-up is worth £35m in these times.
Agent fees, wages, further clarity on the economic impact of covid. Might even be like Thiago and the way the deal is structured. Leipzig may have demanded a lot of the fee up front. There’s also Hoever going the other way for 10-12mill including bonuses which works it out as us getting the two for the price of a Werner.

Discounting the wages, that is. Thiago I read somewhere, earning upwards of 200K at Bayern.

Thanks to Brewster who is making this all possible I guess :wenger:

Doesn’t change the fact it was a disgusting move from your club.

Brewsters just in that tricky position of needing minutes to develop but not being good enough to get them for us but too good to sit on the bench another year at a critical development phase.

Adding to that he’s not the best stylistic fit for us at the moment.

I do have a feeling this'll be his or Salah's final season with the club.
I can see Mane going to Madrid and Salah staying.

Wait till we sign Aouar for 50M and drops a 45M suitcase at La Liga HQ for Partey. It's morally disgusting but sadly a ruthless and terrible business. Seems like only Chelsea and United managed to get out of this pandemic without acting like c*nts.

I read this deal was very bonus-driven to cover all the roles left vacant by the unfortunate souls who got sacked, with a basic wage of a modest 100K per week.

Bonuses per week breakdown:
15K cleaning toilets
10K maintain the pitch
25K working in the ticket office (unfortunately for him, that's not available right now)
50K walking up and down Oxford St as a human billboard advertising upcoming matches (also not available now)
50K scouting across Europe (currently limited to League One and Two in England, but he does get all expenses remunerated)
50K physio work in the morning and after training
10K cleaning the stadium (not needed currently)
10K media liaison officer (now available on Zoom)
20K health and safety officer (previously 5K)
8K graphic design and online marketing officer
1K win bonus
1K goal bonus

As he's shown at Wolves he's a very effective player in a counter attacking system, good finisher when through on goal aswell.

Astute pick up from Liverpool I think, wonder if Brewster might go to Wolves as part of the deal as they're a bit short of experienced attacking options with Adama having to play right wing back currently.

Think he's worth about 25-30 mil so not a patented Liverpool steal but not a bad price at all. Good, versatile forward depth which is what they needed.

He was inconsistent last season and with Santos moving away from the two striker system I can see why Wolves would want to cash in

That good?!
I have watched a lot of Wolves in the last three years because my wife supports them. I think he’s an outstanding player in the making. His trajectory is good and he’s already more mature on the pitch than his age. Quick, aggressive, good technique.

Rumour is Ki-Jana Hoever there for 10m and Brewster to Sheffield United for 20m+ including buyback option.

Yeah saw that but haven't really seen much of Hoever. Was he that kid who looked really good in the FA cup tie 18 months back....ironically against Wolves. I remember there was a young lad in defence/midfield who was showing Van Dijk lite composure on the ball.

Edit; Shaqiri might've been another who'd have been shifted as part of the deal.

Yeah he his, he’s a fantastic young player, and personally I think he’s far better than Neco Williams. His problem is his pathway to the first team is heavily blocked, he’s a little short for a CB and he personally sees himself as more of a Right back over the next few years. In that context the deal makes a lot of sense for both sides as he’ll slot in well to Wolves back three.

Yeah and scored against MK Dons in league cup last season, pretty much everything Liverbird said he’s another that sees himself at RB but TAA and now Williams there he hardly get a look in. I can see him doing well like Coady has there.

This is the difference between a manager with a plan and a manager who rings Giggseh up for recommendations.
