All you Ole outers pop up every time we have a bad game.

It’s honestly a joke at this point

It’s not his fault the team looked sluggish.

His only fault was starting Lindelof. But in truth both CBs played garbage.
Which have been about a million times now...

Embarrassing performance. It is not that we lost, but how badly we lost.

I have not seen Woodward that upset in awhile when the camera pan to him. He looked pissed and ready to make a big decision. Anyone have a gif of that moment?
feck off.

A. It was Jose who caused that feck up by chasing Maguire hard during his last season.
B. Smalling was thought of less than Jones before he moved to Roma on loan.
Mourinho is at fault for us spending £80m on Maguire? OK. I think that is the first time I have heard a former manager getting blamed for the next manager's signings. New lows of defence.

--------------------------

Worst start to a PL season ever.

Now, he has ended a six season run of winning our first games of the season.

Really, I am far from convinced.

A. Ole knew the price tag. He could and should have switched to another target as he did with Grealish this summer. Instead he insisted on slabhead and then paired him with Lindelof creating possibly the slowest CB pair in the EPL. That's on him.
B- That's a lie. Smalling had been the most consistent CB we had in the past 7 years. Honestly I thought that he was the one whose going to pair Maguire as Lindelof- Maguire makes zero sense whatsoever.

Not his fault?  . He is a manager ffs. And was just dominated by Palace. Moyes looks as a premium coach right now.

How do you fluke third over a 38 game season?

Please explain.
By finishing 3rd with 66 points over a Leicester team that imploded, relying on an insane amount of penalties to pull us through games. Argue all you want, I stand by my comment, I can’t believe people genuinely think he’s the one to take is forward (board aside). People have been so use to the shit that Mou & LVG dealt us that they will take anything...

I don't think ole is great but he did a good job. So either you change him or back him with players.

This is what you get.

Nothing to do with Ole.

What do you consider as very good?
Last season I thought that was obvious ? He did really well but like every manager under th owners leadership he hasn't been backed in this window when it was badly needed . He will be sacked and the cycle will continue.
I wish the idiots on here would realise it's our owners and not Ole we should be having a hissy fit over .

Who's fault is it then? You can't absolve blame here, if this was Klopp, Lampard or Arteta we would be laughing our asses off here and getting ready for those managers to have dreadful seasons.

We weren't playing a top side. Palace had a miserable end to last season and we made them look like super stars every time we play them.

We're at the point a lot have started to notice over the last few weeks. We get top four, we don't invest, heads drop, manager eventually gets sacked, new one brought in alongside "long term plan" rinse repeat. One Ole goes Poch would be insane to come here.

When we qualified for the Champions League and everyone was reasonably happy, I said it was as good as it will get under Ole and that a better manager would be needed for the next step.

But it is what it is and this is what we’ve chosen to push on with.

I have never seen a manager with less personality. He is not manly enough for the job.. I get he is a club hero but you need to have leadership qualities to be a manager. It is just weird and it feels weird. I wanted him to succeed but I have had enough.

Agree but for the sentence. He's shown that he is not good enough for this job. The board is a shitshow as his Ed. But Ole must go. Our football is a joke. No attacking patterns, no running, no desire to get in the box. Nothing.
I will say the same thing I've been saying since we brought him in. I think he's better at spotting on talent + in keeping the players happy then all our managers since Sir Alex however he's tactically naive. If he makes it to CL qualification then he should stay if not then he should leave. It's that simple.

Also if we keep him then we back him.

I don't think he or Ole are good enough to challenge for trophies.
We aren't going to challenge for the title with just one signing in VdB, I dont think even Klopp could do that. Point is that last season he was good enough to deserve another year.

The Glazers and Woodward are terrible.

But we don't need signings to not get outplayed by Palace. We were lucky we only lost by 2. Hopefully it was an isolated incident.

But my excitement for this season has gone severely down after that performance We were that bad.

Lampard must be fecking shite then
Don't give a feck about that man I'm focusing on ourselves. If we get trashed and bossed 3-1 by palace first game when they field players like mcarthy mcarthur schlupp etc it just shows what a terrible season this will be. Or is todays result all on the glazers?

If he uses the referee making a mess over the penalty as an excuse that'll be rather lame.
Whilst using it as an excuse wouldn't be right, that penalty was bad all round and clearly affected the game. Not excusing the performance though.

It is. He's the manager. He put up a bad lineup and the team looked like unprepared. Dan James and Fosu Mensah should not have started either. Now you don't sack over the 1st game of the season. But you can't act like he's faultless. We need to start holding him accountable like any managers. If Mourinho was still the coach, he'd be getting slaughtered for this performance.

Well then the fact this thread is 595 pages long says everything doesn’t it.

Even Arsenal look to be far better coached than us. They seem to have a clear plan and direction beyond just counter attacking and chucking it to your star player and pray he makes some magic happen.

Ole is lucky that a lot of flack will go on the board (and rightly so), but he needs a major kick up the arse to continue here. That line up and tactics were shocking today.

This **** needs to go, I'm sure Woody wants nothing more than to call upon proper, alpha coach Poch but he dug himself into a hole by not biting the bullet and sacking him earlier. The Ole cult is too big in it's current stage.

We'll never challenge for the title under Ole. He's a top 4 manager.

And all you Ole Inners pop up when we have a good game?? So what, got no interest in a manager who can only perform 50% of the time. That ain’t gonna win the league

We're not going to win anything with Ole.
We're not going to play good football either.

Zero point in keeping him. We need a proper, modern day manager.

The board will get the majority of the blame today, but its really Ole. We could have Sancho on the right today and we'll still look clueless.

We are getting beat and not showing anything on the field, yet the man is sitting down watching the game with us on TV.
