Lindelöf is mediocrity by definition and lack the physicality to be a top defender in the PL.

What his he actually good at now, in his first season at least he was good and confidently distributed the ball.

But now i just can see anything he his good at, the only time you notice him these days his when he wants to make another mistake.

Didn't have AWB to protect him today, so just like his first season he was exposed.

He's no different than when he first got here. We just have a defensive beast of a RB beside him.

This is very true, he didn't have AWBs defensive heroics to protect him from 1 v 1 defending and he got exposed massively.

I have defended this guy a lot on the basis that... well I suppose I’m not sure. I felt he was overly criticised early on... I expected him to continue to improve... I trusted for some unknown reason that United signed him because they saw something in him... and he did have some good games.

I’d sell him tomorrow, however, reason being it’s the same mistakes again and again.

We’re Manchester United. One if the richest clubs in the world. We aspire to be the best team and should have the best players. Any way you look at it this guy is clearly nowhere near good enough. Half the team are.

We really should have defenders who don’t make mistakes. This guy sells goals repeatedly.

He never commits to a challenge. Very cowardice player who’s just happy backing off his man in the hope they’ll lay it off to someone being picked up by one of our defenders.

Needs to go. Fully done with watching him not achieving even the fundamentals of defending.

Not fast, not tall, not strong, not brave, not a good reader of the game.

What does he excel at?
He is supposedly calm and has good feet. At least that is why Ole prefers him. But this must surely be it. Not even Jones would make the same amount of simple mistakes in a single game.

Under a tree.
Contract until 2024 with a option for another year...

Will anyone give us the 40m back (if add-ons are all paid)?

No idea what Mourinho saw in him. I remember when we were linked with him it came out of nowhere and no one took it seriously because he was completely unknown and by watching him you'd see there was nothing special there. Then he actually ended up joining for 35 million, when Benfica signed him from a Swedish third tier club called Vasteras for 60k 5 years prior, and only managing one full season as a Benfica starter. Truly swindled.

First minute of the game, he already misses an uncontested header

I've never seen such a nothing player, pretend to be a hardman. Swedish pissant.

Lindelof's actually had more bad games for us than good ones, and he's been a regular starter for 2 seasons. As much of a fraud as the manager that signed him.
Agreed. He almost won me over last season but that was mostly because he and Maguire were the only fit CBs so he managed to pick up some kinda form. I remember now why I was hoping Maguire would be replacing him not Smalling and then why I predicted Tuanzebe to be Maguire's partner by midseason except he kept getting injured.

He's dog shit and I'm sick of it happening, Maguire didn't do himself any favours either but Lindelof can feck right off imo.

Like I seem to say about all our mediocre players these days, he is not going anywhere. The majority of us can see he isn’t good enough; however, he is in absolutely no danger of being moved on or losing his place in the starting lineup. We are accepting of subpar performances.

I’m very surprised he started after that Europa League Semi.

Felt like a Taibi moment for me where you knew it was the end

Different standards now I guess, unfortunately

Weak as piss. Juan Mata could win a physical duel against this guy. Your starting centre back shouldn't be so easily brushed aside. Slow, poor in the air, weak, nowhere near good enough on the ball to be considered a ball playing defender. I don't know what he's supposed to be good at.

It seems like he's the best at staying fit, so he plays. Fitness aside and despite their flaws, all of Bailly, Rojo, Jones and Smalling bring more to the table than Lindelof. Sick of seeing him be dominated with ease against bang average forwards.

Norwegians and Finns are, swedes are very nice and they are good looking too. =)
Lindelof looks like tiesto, he’s not particularly good looking. Gustafson is a swede and is a tough bastard.

Smalling is better. We should get rid of this fraud and start Smalling. Lindelof is on par with Jones.
