Quite an entertaining game, this one. Djenepo looks like a handy player for Southampton.
I just came in to say that. I haven't seen much of him, so, anyone else who has, is he consistent or fairly erratic? Looks dynamic.Quite an entertaining game, this one. Djenepo looks like a handy player for Southampton.
Did you watch them last week?Look at how well coached Southampton are. Day and night difference between them and us
Last week they just looked tired tbhDid you watch them last week?
They tried to but were rebuffedSurprised Spurs didn't go for Ings.
So like us yesterday.Last week they just looked tired tbh
I think it's more about the intention of tactical structure. Sometimes you play bad, sometimes good, but the question is whether you can see a systematically coached side and Soton are definitely that.Did you watch them last week?
We were dominant in two games against Soton last seasonLook at how well coached Southampton are. Day and night difference between them and us
Maybe we can use that as our excuse too then.Last week they just looked tired tbh
Oh dear. Don't think him and Kane would work together as a two. They tried to but were rebuffed
Yeah, I couldn't see that working either and he's too good to be a back-up player for a club like SpursOh dear. Don't think him and Kane would work together as a two.
Regardless of today's result, it just feels like he's on borrowed time.Jose Mourinho meltdown incoming.
Think they would actually. Kane likes to drop off and link play, whilst Ings, as we saw with his goal, likes to run in behind.Oh dear. Don't think him and Kane would work together as a two.
The last thing Ings needs is a move, especially to a club that usually favours playing the one striker up top like Spurs do. Southampton suits him down to the ground and he hasn't got the added pressure of playing at a club the size of Spurs. It's a good place for him to be at this stage of his career, imo.Oh dear. Don't think him and Kane would work together as a two.
We were dominant because perhaps having better players does that. Just because that can happen it doesn't negate the quality of coaching relative to the individual quality available. We were dominant in two games against Soton last season
Maybe we can use that as our excuse too then.
No, I'd say we were tactically better too. Just couldn't finish our chances. We were dominant because perhaps having better players does that. Just because that can happen it doesn't negate the quality of coaching relative to the individual quality available.
Maybe, but to achieve that level of tactical fluidity and that level of automation with inferior players is a testimony to the quality of the coaching. Take the same quality of coaching and apply it to a set of better players and we'd have a much, much more fluid system than we have now.No, I'd say we were tactically better too. Just couldn't finish our chances.
He’s on the bench, but he played on Thursday.@InLevyITrust is Toby injured at the moment?
@Walters_19_MuFcSo like us yesterday.
