Just need him to survive this GW. Want to keep him vs WBA for obvious reasons. If he fails to score, he's out
Pretty much the same for us all. Jiminez has Fulham home in gw4. That would be the easiest transfer I will ever make.

Actually annoyed with myself for not starting with him and going for Werner.

Debating moving out Martial for Jiminez or Jesus.

Jimenez’ next 3 look great, Jesus I think is a great long term pick this year with really low ownership.

I do expect Martial to be decent and Brighton isn’t bad but I think red tinted glasses and hope are the only thing keeping him in the squad atm.

What say ye’s?

Atm not looking likely.
I need to make my wild card transfers but don't want to do it tomorrow morning. I'll wait until this evening late morning.

I don't normally see many price drops on day before a matchweek starts though....

Unless your team is an absolute mess i'd recommend saving the wildcard as long as possible (up to gw16 deadline). Covid could yet play havoc with fixtures and no doubt will do.
I'd disagree. If Covid is going to play havoc this season then the wildcard is pretty useless...you could WC and end up with 3 City players and then the next week they all get Covid. It's all a gamble.

I always like to WC early, because there is always trends and bandwagons to ride in this game, which may only last a couple weeks and doing it early builds your team value so it's not so diffucult to transfer in form players.

Case in point. If I didnt WC this week I would have lost 0.3m

0.1m on Davies.
0.1m on Auba
0.1m on Che Adams

Possibily another 0.2m on Tiernet and Norwood who may drop tonight.

and would start to get prices out of the following players who had a price rise in my WC team - Castagne, Siass, Mitchell, KDB, Podence, Rodriguez, Bamford and DCL (0.2m each)

Total of 1M !

Werner has not dropped! What are they doing.
He’s not going down. People are getting him in before the WBA game now. Kinda screwed my plans, as it means I only have 0.4 or 0.9 to play with.

At the moment I’m switching between Mitchell and Justin in defence, but I don’t want to leave myself too many transfers to make and know that neither of them will be staying long term. Seems like Justin is the better bet, as he’s easier to replace.

I already have Werner and Podence who are question marks long term, but will surely deliver over the next few weeks.

I agree. I was saving my WC, but realistically why would you use it for players effected by Covid. You’d be fine for two weeks, but then have a completely weakened team.

If anything, it makes more sense to have good bench options, meaning that team value is even more crucial.

You could easily find yourselves in that position again though. You only get 1 wildcard prior to Xmas.

If you've wilcarded just to miss out on 2 or 3 price drops then it's a waste. If you've done that and your team is a mess too then it makes more sense.

I have taken 1 or 2 price drops but my team is 100% not wildcard worthy so I have saved.

Took Havertz out this week and he goes and starts banging in hat tricks, can see that being a big mistake..

Same. Have lost a bit of value but that's fine as I like my team for now given the low amount of info to play with. Couple of GWs more and I'd play it probably

Same here, I also took out Son in GW1 and look what happened there.

I also took out Bruno in GW2 so some good might come out of this after all :)

I decided to wait until after GW4 to wildcard. People are counting out United already and I don't see many of their players in teams but that's based off one performance. We could do a Spurs and bounce back tomorrow...

Chelsea still seem mysterious. If rather give them a couple of weeks...

Plus the transfer window will be finished by then.

I think people are thinking too much about covid or price drops etc when in reality it's all about information.

The more information you have, the stronger your wildcard team will be...

I'm torn between Vinagre, Mitchell and Burke for two starting positions. I already have Saiss and Digne guaranteed to start. Should I double up on Wolves's defence, or take the Burke risk, or back Palace at home to Everton? Any suggestions?

So Jesus looks like he might have injury. Makes Foden a no brainer for me on a wildcard now. Will replace Podence with him and change TAA and Guaita for Robertson and Martinez.

Just need to decide between Son and Werner. Not sure I can afford the pain of a Werner haul v West Brom if I take him out now though.

Martinez / Forster

Robertson / Saiss / Lamptey / Justin / Mitchell

KDB / Salah / Foden / J-Rod / Anguissa

Werner / Jimenez / Wood

Will Vinagre start?

Also, Walker-Peters or Justin?
Marcal is injured apparently so he should do although they have just bought another wingback in Semedo.

Saints defence is all over the place but Justin has City this weekend. Also he's not expected to keep his place long term. I'll be keeping him until he loses it tough. Likewise with Mitchell.

Yea I wouldn't wildcard if my team was looking great...but because of United/City not starting GW1 I had none of their players so it made sense to do now, rather than miss the boat if KdB, Jesus ,

Wildcarded a week early as my team was losing value rapidly...one more £0.1 gone and my planned Wildcard team was out the window. Anyway:

Ryan Steele
Taylor Coady Robertson Dunne Mitchell
Salah KdB Podence (Costa?) Son Romeu
Jimenez Bamford Jesus

Thoughts? Is trippling up on Wolves ridiculous? They have 5 very winnable games next. I back them to be in 2nd behind Pool (shit) by the end of GW7. As many replies as possible please. Thanks a lot in advance lads!

KDB (C) vs Salah (C) is a toughie this week.
Salah. I can’t remember the last important game at Anfield where he hasn’t scored. And I’m saying this with conviction and confidence. Feel free to bash me when he scores 0 and misses a pen :D

Guaita, Jorginho, Mitchell, Justin

Any reccomended changes for the long run? It seems pretty balanced atm.

3 Wolves guys seems like a stretch, but their fixture list is so tasty and their price fits.

KDB. Salah playing arsenal, who look a lot better under Arteta.

Leicester are missing Ndidi so they'll be soft in the center. Can see KDB causing damage although I would Captain Sterling if I had him as he has higher ceiling... But I don't so KDB it is!

Yeah that simplified things. Gone Werner Jiminez and DCL with Mason in for Foden who despite a goal and assist just played a few too many minutes for my liking midweek.

Do think he’ll be a great pick this year though at 6.5. I see his minutes generally being comfortably enough.

Bamford has some tough fixtures coming up and may not be first choice going forward (Rodrigo will be), I think Klich is the better option for Leeds as he is on penalties. I think Klich or Podence is a better option than Ward Prowse or Praet. Also, you seem to be planning to have a 5.5ish player on the bench? Not sure that's an optimal tactic as you already have a defender that can come in as first choice on the bench. If you swap in a 4.5 player that gives you the option to upgrade elsewhere. I think you could go with the below;

KdB-Mane-Klich-Rodriguez-Foden
Jimenez-Werner (4.5)

Another good player is Zaha who is in form and has great fixtures after Everton and Chelsea.

Thank you, ive removed Bamford. I cant quite bring myself to have a striker that doesn't play in case i want to use them one week, however I'm keeping my eye on Brewster, if he goes on loan I'll use him

I've made a few tweaks and now have this, what's people's thoughts?

Gk: Guaita & Mccarthy

Defence: VVD, Mitchell, Justin, Vinagre, Dunne (Burnley)

Midfield: Klich, Mane, Rodriguez, KDB, Praet

Strikers: Antonio, Jiminez, Werner

Im not overly happy with Praet, but can see where you're coming from re Bamford, I brought in Pukki after his blistering start last season then binned him just at the right time.

I'd like Foden but I brought him in at the end of last season and got Peppd. If Brewster goes on loan to somewhere half decent I'll bin Praet and probably Antonio then bring in Foden and Brewster

Ok just got word of Jesus injury. So that makes me think Foden has to play but I'm worried because he played in the League Cup as well.

I have a feeling the front 3 will be Mahrez Sterling Foden.

How risky is it if I remove Salah for the next 3 gameweeks and bring in Sterling?

No discussion of Son ? Was gunna sub him out last week but missed the deadline. Seems a dead certain now, and they're playing Newcastle at home. My Capt this week...

So my final WC decision. Got to choose from two of Taylor, Justin and Mitchell. Quality wise I would rather leave Taylor out, but I’m aware that Justin and Mitchell are likely to drop out of the team once players are back.

Any news on Bamford? Don't tell me he is going to be dropped. I have kept him on this week. Fully expecting him to score.

What do people think about Salah vs Arsenal. Is he worth making captain? I don't have KdB or Son.
