Scored in the 9th minute of 5 added minutes from a penalty awarded after the final whistle.

Thoroughly deserved win :wenger:
If I hadn't seen it for myself, I would not have believed it.

So, so lucky. Best team leave with nothing.
My God we need to learn to defend the far post. Time and again AWB left a free man. Pogba can not do anything simply, everything has to be flash and almost always ends up making a complete mess of it. The front three played sporadically but when they played they looked really sharp.
I don’t know, we look shite in one instance and world beaters in the next.

Somehow we managed to show all of the problems we have while still managing to win 3 points, pressure builds on Ed and we still get the win, perfect day!

Got to find those silver linings folks.

Lucky 3 points.
Brighton were easily the better team and should have won 4-2 or 5-2.

We weren’t pinned back in our box and coming under wave after wave of Brighton attacks just because the back four were rubbish.
It was all down to a weak midfield and a poor bunch of forwards who won’t or can’t put in the hard graft to stop the opposition.

United’s best player today, was the woodwork around the goal.

I know we got 3 points but I don’t feel good about that .. at all. Atleast play half decent football, that was utterly shocking. Nowhere near good enough. Not even close.

Absolute robbery. I'd be fuming if I were a Brighton fan. But ho hum, we're up and running lads!

The biggest robbery since the Brinks-Mat job. Brighton will be puzzled and gutted by that defeat. Wow, what a finish to a game.

We didn't deserve a point, let alone three. The defending was horrific throughout and we didn't create much; five times they hit the frame of the goal.

I don't know how we did it. We desperately need an improvement in defence; we look so disjointed.

It will take a while for that result to sink in. It was our lucky day.

Woeful. Just woeful. We stole those 3 points today. So many bad performances all over the park; AWB, Shaw, Martial but especially Pogba. He needs to have a long hard look at himself. Utter pants today, again.

Motm - the woodwork, Maupay’s arm.

we are quite bad right now
a lot will be made of the wood work but one was a wierd loopy header than de gea would easily have caught if it didn't tap off the bar and the other wasn't even that close, grazed the outside of the post. trossard had one god shot from outside the box in the first half, ddg probably would have got to it, but a nice effort

All the planets certainly aligned for us today. Ole really is the luckiest manager I've ever seen. How long is his luck going to hold out?

The way Ole reacted after the whistle went as if it was all part of a tactical masterclass felt a bit wrong.

Never thought I'd say this - DROP AWB.

Worst player on the pitch.

AWB reflects everything wrong with this team at the moment, always behind the game.

He was even put RWB and still found himself being dragged in to CB leaving his man.

Honestly, I really hope he gets destroyed by Ole for that performance. He's been like it for about 6 months but he put it all on show today.

They must of had 5-10 shots at goal from his side.

Lots of poor performances all round and with this defence we will achieve nothing but AWB needs dropping ASAP.

It's not even his attacking now, it is his defending. He's a great 1v1 defender but that seems to be it at the moment.

They breached our defence 3 times after the 91st min! We had a back 5 and every cross from the right found the AWB position completely vacant. As a team we threw up a chance every 3-4 mins for 20 mins. Perhaps the worst defensive performance I can recall.

Well, not sure what to make of that! Average performance with some great moment of attacking play. First half slow, nervous, second half better tempo should have seen us score a few and then we turned to shit again late on.

Slight improvement on the Palace game. That said, we're way too easy to get chances against. Especially if you cross it behind Wan-Bissaka. The signs were there post-lockdown so why is it still an issue?

We are not good. Can't see us getting above 7 and to be fair I think top 10 would be a struggle.

The balance in midfield is the problem, if you can't win the fight in the middle then you are never going to be successful.

The point is the game should be done and dusted before.
Doesnt make it less of a pen.
How about the MOTM not fluffing his lines everytime he had a chance and cost the side the game?
Against Sevilla we missed chance after chance and deserved to lose because of it. Im not going to be hypocritical now and claim Brighton deserved the win when they shit the bed in the same way.

I hate us, I hate watching us. Martial and rashford appear to have forgotten the offside rule, pogba is less than dogshit, 5 defenders on the field and nobody has the back post, awful sideways and backwards passing like peak lvg.
Horrible.
Fall over Albion played us off the park.

Did AWB know he was playing RB? For the entire match it seemed he was trying to play on the right side of midfield. Weird to see him so out it.

Really are no positives except we tried to win and we did. Great 3 points but undeserved. Brighton coulr have scored 10. AWB needs to be dropped, in that second half especially, he was out of position 90% of the time and left the Brighton man open to score and make it 2 2, awful game from him. Pogba was deadful as was most of our team. Surprisingly DVB only came on in 90th min, Pogba should not have started, he is clearly not match fit. I am just hoping that we get some confidence from that game, fight spirit confidence. My weekend coulr have been ruined again but somehow we pulled it off. Oh, Brighton had 18 shots against our 6, we played like the relegation team and they played like they wanted to play football. I am more impressed with Potter than Ole.

They always say the sign of a great team is winning when not playing well, so I guess we're gonna win the treble this season based off that.

What a bonkers game. Brighton much the better team.

Can't stand Connolly and these players who are just diving and looking for fouls. Won't get called out because they are UK/Irish.
