Good luck to him. That's one down, and many more to go: We need to get Mata, Rojo, Jones, Lingard, and maybe James off the books (personally I'd like to see Smalling stay, even if this is unlikely).
See an absolute maximum of five leaving this week but think it will be less

Lingard's still here because of this train of thought. Lingard's cup final goals 3/4 yeears ago are so completely meaningless now, it shouldn't need to be brought up in a conversation because it has 0 relevance to his current performance. Other clubs seem to value Pereira more than Lingard, because we actually got an offer for Pereira whereas Lingard can't generate any interest whatsoever.
Wtf. Lingard is not Utd quality but he’s definitely given us more than Pereira ever has. That highlights just how shit Pereira has been.

Lazio missing out on David Silva and getting Andrea Pereira instead. Holy shizzle, we need to get this quickly over the line before they realise.

I was a big fan of him coming through and wanted him to have his chance.

It looked bleak for him here at one point, looked like he'd be loaned and loaned then sold without ever having a chance.

He's had a chance now and ultimately he isn't good enough. I feel for him in some respects as he is a decent player, i think he's come into our team at the wrong time and been asked to play a lot of positions to cover injuries.

He hasn't nailed a position down which has been his undoing, He's shown glimpses so i'm sure he will do well. Smalling's proven that you only have to be half competent in the PL to looking like a good player in Serie A - it's such a step down from the PL. Periera will do well. He hasn't deserved all the hate but moving on is the right thing for him and us.

Good luck to him

No, he’s another dead wood who has taken too many wages from the club for a nothing contribution. Your comment sums up the problem the club has when it comes to our fringe players. Too much soft sentiment.
What's he supposed to do, give his wages back? If we offer him a contract, and he does his best for us then any fault if he doesn't deserve the money is fully on us not him. Hope he gets his move and gets some good playing time over there.

He’s a Championship standard player (put it this way, he wouldn’t get pass Buendia or Cantwell at Norwich), but the abuse is unnecessary. He’s leaving, so wish him luck and don’t abuse him ffs. It’s not his fault he’s a poor player, at least he always gave his best and tried to get into the first team.

Good luck, and hopefully you and Gomes will build good careers. Now to shift Mata and Lingard, we shouldn’t abuse leaving deadwood who never brought shame upon us but we desperately have to sell them.

We need a squad replacement.
The signing of Bruno and VDB over the last two windows mean he's already been replaced. With Greenwood also becoming first choice on the right, we certainly don't need all of Pereira, Lingard and Mata. At least one of them should be going now (apparently Pereira), and if we ever do get Sancho or another right winger over the line then a second if not all three of them can be sold.

He was terrible when played in central midfield. In the first half of the season when he was playing as #10 or right wing he was comfortably outperforming both Lingard and Mata. That's more because of how terrible both of those were playing, but Pereira himself was decent.
There wasn’t a single match I saw Pereira play which I thought he was “decent”. He was part of a shit run which he was a big contributor to.

I’m not a Lingard fan but he’s definitely given us more than Pereira ever has.

Best outcome for him. Get games and try to show his best traits in different league tempo & team system.

He didn't set the world alight but he always gave 100 % on the pitch (apart from that goal vs Southampton). And for that I respect him and wish him well

Good move for him. Wasn't going to get any game time here and was ultimately not good enough. Hope he reaches a good level though, always worked hard.

Slower league may be the right move for him.

Best wishes Andreas. Hopefully its permanent but I wouldn't mind seeing him develop and come back to surprise us all.

I hope he really plays his socks off at Lazio because otherwise we'll be back where we started in 12 months and he'll be worth even less!

Italy might be just right for him. I wouldn’t be surprised if he does better than we expect, assuming he gets enough minutes.

He wasn't good enough at United, but that's okay. What I do always like and appreciated about him is that he had some nice shithousery to his game and if he can keep that attitude and play with some good confidence and smart play in Italy, he'll be a fan favorite. The slower tempo should suit him well.

If he gets to play as a no. 10 in a much slower league then he'll do well.

Wish him the best of luck. Now where are Jones. Lingard, Rojo, Dalot hiding.

I actually did the stats back in January and you'd be surprised.

In the premier league he'd started 12 matches at #10 or right wing for 7 wins, 3 draws (including the match against Liverpool which was the first dropped points they had all season) and 2 losses.

In the other 10 matches we'd had at the time (which include him playing at CM, him coming on as a late sub, or him not playing at all) we had 2 wins, 4 draws, 4 losses.

I think I did those stats just before the losses against Liverpool and Burnley so that would have dropped his percentages a bit, but even with that it was notable that we performed far better with him than with the other two. The Arsenal match was also memorable when he was surprisingly dropped for Lingard, only for that to be an obvious mistake that we had to fix with a fairly early sub and he was one of our better players once coming on.

Once again I'll stress that I'm not saying he was great or anything like that. But of the three options he was the only one providing anything while the other two were both atrocious. His terrible form later in the season when he was playing in a deeper role seems to have made a lot of people forget that, when at the time (around January) pretty much everyone on the forum preferred him over them.

Good riddance to a pointless footballer. Few more like him go aswell in next few days also
The best part about the deal is it has an obligation to buy. Otherwise they would be returning the parcel back to sender at the end of the season after trying out the product.

Getting rid of this kind of players feels just as good as signing.

There is no obligation, it's just an option to buy

Can’t wait for him to have a few good games and people question why we bought VDB when we had a better player in Pereira... :nervous:
