So we spent the entire summer doing nothing only to end up with a crock whose got a shit attitude? Jeez. Let's sign Amad Troure instead. He is raw as can be but at least he has the will to do well and the body to reach his dreams
Look I don't know the guy personally but maybe Ole can assign our french connection to help him,in regards to being a crock yes he has had injuries but still young enough to get over them

This deal reminds me of AC Milan last glorious years. They would sign these big name signings who were only good for the glue factory simply to shut fans up

It looks like we are looking at Usama Bin Laden as an alternative option too. I’m not sure we’ll be able to agree personal terms with him.

Once a crock he is always a crock. Saha, Hargreaves, Jones and Co should have taught us that

This is a desperate signing from a desperate club who wants fans to shut up

He is 22 and most likely a loan, not at the end of his career. It's nothing like the AC Milan situation.

Saha, Hargreaves, Jones, Shaw, all players with terrible injury problems, all who had more desire to be here and can barely string games together.

I mean its not like we are completely shit at recovering badly injured players or anything.. oh

I agree with the general sentiment of your post, but I think there’s more nuance for Dembele at Barcelona. Fati started the season on fire and there’s already (basically) a smear campaign on Dembele with the Catalan media who really dislike him. Depay is also top of Koeman’s wishlist and I think if anyone’s making way for him, it’s definitely the Ous. The fresh environment this year with the likes of Pogba and Martial around him will do him a world of good to ensure he makes the Euros squad for 2021.
You might be right, I don't follow the politics of Barca that much. I'm a optimistic realist most of the time but lean much more to the realism on anything United related in recent years. I'm always ready to be happily surprised by a big signing we've pulled off but I can remember few of those this decade, Pogba aside.

RVP? Shaw is ok?

I was trying to think of players who have actually managed to over come persistent injuries? The only one I can think of really is Robben. You could make an argument for Kompany who missed something like 130 games for City, but I am struggling for top class players who have come back. The list of "talent wasted due to injury" is much longer, but maybe they are easy to remember.

Is that a joke? Shaw has come back half the player he ever was.

RvP may be a decent shout, not sure he had lots of niggling injuries did he? I seem to remember he would be out for one game and then back in for a run?

Whenever I think of this guy I can't help but feel he's a choker (see his shocking miss in the CL v Liverpool). Poor composure when it matters and injury-prone. His work rate and attitude need a lot of improvement, despite his obvious impressive talent and ability. I'd avoid tbh.

Well there is a good example of a wide player being able to do it then,at least we have flat out ruled a permanent deal for him and just want loan.

How could you forget Giggs! Bale too? I'm sure there's quite a few wingers given the high intensity sprints and constant kicks. Most of them learned to adapt their playing style with age, and find a more personalised training regime.

You lot are too precious. Players have been accused of having a bad attitude before yet he is only 22 so has time to mature and focus. Maybe he needs a fresh challenge and new environment. Coman attitude was once questioned yet he just won the CL. He'll have Martial and Pogba to set him straight (coincidently both criticised of having bad attitudes in the past)

This is a worthwhile risk. A loan with an option to buy would be smart business. I think Dembele just needs a change of scenery, Barca as a club is even more toxic and poorly run than us at the moment.

Ole gets slated for his managerial abilities but he’s clearly had a positive effect on the forwards and could help Dembele find his best form again. Remember Martial was at an all time low when Ole took over from Jose, so there is evidence to show that Ole could help Dembele as well.

Bale is almost the opposite, he would have periods off every year (about a month at a time, but would play consistently.

Giggs, I know I feel like he was injured, but can't find any evidence of what his injuries were. His record suggest he generally played 40-50 games plus per season from 18-34.

His game is suited to the Premier league. However, I'd take him on loan first with the option of signing him permanently next season rather than signing him immediately due to his injury record.

I think at his best he's better than Sancho. If we would ever see his best remains a big question.

And you lot seem desperate for a signing, any signing really. The EPL is far more physical and demanding then La Liga. That means if Dembele wants to succeed then he'll have to work more, he'll have to run more and he'll face far more tackles then in La Liga. Good luck keeping such injury prone player with attitude issues focused.

Problem is not form or talent. It is his attitude and injury issue. Loan with an option to buy is the only reasonable scenario for us.

His game definitely isn't suited to Barca, even though he does offer something different when he plays. Their footballing culture is unique so his loose technique and and one touch play stands out, which was the case for Sanchez as well who went on to be a star player in the PL. There's a good chance if Dembele came here, his technical shortcomings would be under less of a spotlight and he'd be more relaxed and gain confidence, provided he can stay fit.

Ironically, Sancho would have been a perfect Neymar replacement for Barcelona as he's far more technically consistent and his passing in tight spaces and footballing IQ is elite level.

This deal makes me very happy if it goes through. A right winger is all we have asked for and are finally getting it. Let me not get to excited because this is still United handling last minute deals.

Technical shortcomings???? What the hell am I reading? He would be the most technical player at the club. Also top 3 fastest with James and Rashford.

O Dembele on loan wouldn't be a bad shout but I think we would still need to bring in a striker.

It is a meaningless big name signing meant to get the fans off the owner's backs.
