still gets no respect
See the post below yours quoting the article. Not that it matters - We could pay 40m and you’d still spin it’s fantastic business and anyone moaning is a spoilt child.

We shall see what the final terms are, then. He may be scheduled to fly to England, but according to that same article, we still haven't agreed on all terms yet. Once this whole deal's done, we'll get more info on what we're supposedly paying.Well he's flying over here tomorrow according to Simon Stone.
Well RW might not happen so we would be left with just those players hence why Cavani as a stop gap is fine with me.No, I'd rather get a RW and LB or CB as I've said before. DM is bigger priority as well because Matic is getting too old and can't play twice a week.
We could have looked for a stop-gap in January, why the hurry to sign someone for the bench now, when we can improve at least 2 first 11 positions?
You are being insulted, but not by me.your just tiresome now, and this is insulting. Ignore.
Couldn’t agree more, but we’re called embarrassing for not taking Internet no marks as gospel.Thats what I see here. Any negative tweet or news is taken as gospel and right to moan about, and any positive ones are taken as completely false, propaganda etc etc and if anyone believes it are naive, knows-nothing and pro-Glazers. I used to think United is a gold mine for reporters because United is big, but these days I think its more because the fans are absolutely obnoxious.
The point is about wasting the whole transfer just to end up with left over at the end.So you’d rather go into the season with just Rashford, Martial and Greenwood to rely on?
The fact that people are happy with this transfer is mind-boggling.Started summer with 'take advantage of the market' talk and ending it with 'well he's better than Ighalo'.
This club man. Look what it's done to us all.
Indeed. For me the issue is less about whether he's still good, but more this throwaway attitude that "He's replacing Ighalo, so it makes sense." Ighalo's signing didn't make a lot of sense, or at least it was the sign of a club that wasn't exactly planning and executing a long term plan with military precision. It just put out one fire. The Ighalo signing was supposed to give us breathing room to get the right player(s) in, not to simply create a revolving door through which an ageing, overpaid striker comes, keeping the seat warm until the next one.Exactly.
I've no problem with us taking a punt on Cavani, but, by the time Ighalos loan ends we'll have had a full year to identify and sign a more long term solution, so we're not having to take punts with 2 days left in the window.
Is that including the worldwide pandemic? The fact that people are happy with this transfer is mind-boggling.
I'd bet he won't be able to play for at least a month, if not more. Guy hasn't played a competitive match in what, half an year?
Then that point should be made in the transfers thread, why slate this signing just cause your not happy with window as a wholeThe point is about wasting the whole transfer just to end up with left over at the end.
Between the leftover, there is still Milik looking for club. Even Dzeko is up for sale by Roma for them to buy Milik.
You will find posters who think so.I wonder how many strikers have turned us down for us to end up signing a free agent now who's been available all Summer?
You can't tell me he is Option A.
He was offered to us a few days back by his agents, so we weren't even considering him up to that point. It doesn't surprise me that we decided to act on him (given that Ighalo will leave in January), but I'd have hoped for Ole to ask for more options rather than merely accept Cavani.I wonder how many strikers have turned us down for us to end up signing a free agent now who's been available all Summer?
You can't tell me he is Option A.
People forget that Cavani was not just available for 3 months. He was available for pre contract negotiation since January! The fact that people are happy with this transfer is mind-boggling.
I'd bet he won't be able to play for at least a month, if not more. Guy hasn't played a competitive match in what, half an year?
We buying a time machine too ?What he's capable of
This is actually a true and worrying fact. I hope he comes and gets things running but he will need time and the games in october till the nect international break are tough so don't know how easy will it be for him.The fact that people are happy with this transfer is mind-boggling.
I'd bet he won't be able to play for at least a month, if not more. Guy hasn't played a competitive match in what, half an year?
Seems as though you have no comprehension of how astronomical a wage it is to be paid despite me pointing out it's what the majority of premier forwards in the league are being paid.Absolutely, for a player of his caliber.
Do you want world-class players on average player's wages? The reports say we got him on a very good deal so let's just wait and see.
It can be both, no?Then that point should be made in the transfers thread, why slate this signing just cause your not happy with window as a whole
But that's is the problem! RW, LB and DM should have happened, why are we wasting money on the likes of Cavani when we can get Telles who is more important to the balance of our squad?Well RW might not happen so we would be left with just those players hence why Cavani as a stop gap is fine with me.
I agree that DM is our biggest priority but increased squad depth was very high as well.
Brace yourself, the moaners are coming...Really happy with this signing. He will be a superb squad option.
That's the worst of it. How do these people not realise they are being fekked? It's Falcao and Sanchez all over again but some will lap it up.
What wages are Utd payingI can't get over how much of a disgrace this deal is. This is a January signing and we're doing it in the summer when we've had months to get targets in. I can't get over those wages, absolute fecking joke
How much did we pay Zlatan?Seems as though you have no comprehension of how astronomical a wage it is to be paid despite me pointing out it's what the majority of premier forwards in the league are being paid.
Calibre didn't save Rooney from an unceremonious end, despite him fitting the criteria you've put forth. Cavani was essentially tarted around Europe with absolutely no takers with less than 72hrs of the transfer window left, does this strike you as odd?
I am certain his wage will be commensurate with what he expects he's worth - ergo, not cheap in the slightest. If I'm wrong, and he's being paid in line with what a soon to be 34, ailing forward should be on, I'll gladly come back and hold my hands up. It's not even his age that is the issue here: it's the clear decline he has shown from the forward he was (the one you're talking about), to the player clubs have had no interest in.
We do need a striker. VDB was signed because Ole doesn't trust any other MF apart from Paul Pogba and BrunoI honestly do not understand your transfer strategy this window. You don't need a striker nor did you need the Dutch guy really. You are focusing on areas you dont really need improving and neglecting the areas you need investment.
Mate I'm totally with you. Think it's people putting on a brave face and a lot of them still think Sancho is happening. The fact that people are happy with this transfer is mind-boggling.
I'd bet he won't be able to play for at least a month, if not more. Guy hasn't played a competitive match in what, half an year?
Don't you have a backup striker already? We do need a striker. VDB was signed because Ole doesn't trust any other MF apart from Paul Pogba and Bruno
I doubt you have seen anyone say that. You will find posters who think so.
Reportedly £172k a week basic. That's before add-onsWhat wages are Utd paying
You didn't need a left back either, Reguilon isn't much better than Rose.I honestly do not understand your transfer strategy this window. You don't need a striker nor did you need the Dutch guy really. You are focusing on areas you dont really need improving and neglecting the areas you need investment.
You are wrong on both accounts. We needed both an attacking midfielder and a forward.I honestly do not understand your transfer strategy this window. You don't need a striker nor did you need the Dutch guy really. You are focusing on areas you dont really need improving and neglecting the areas you need investment.
Reported by who?Reportedly £172k a week basic. That's before add-ons
That’s how it’s been for years “the never ending story”.I honestly do not understand your transfer strategy this window. You don't need a striker nor did you need the Dutch guy really. You are focusing on areas you dont really need improving and neglecting the areas you need investment.
Hes poor and he leaves in January.Don't you have a backup striker already?
I'd love to be in their minds for 10 seconds to see what kind of place it is.Mate I'm totally with you. Think it's people putting on a brave face and a lot of them still think Sancho is happening.
