Under soil heating.
I've just watched a video that calls him a wonderkid and I feel cheated. Hope he gets given time to adapt, settle and learn and hopefully he can step up to the first team eventually.

This guy doesn't look anywhere near ready to be starting for utd on the right wing, we need a developed right winger. This seems like a tactic to get his name out there, that's what I'm hoping for anyway.

I think we are past that stage now. Same with Cavani.

Deepthroating information to Howard Nurse.
Cristiano has only scored 27 goals in his first 137 games for us and no CL goals until his 4th season.

What i want to say is that goals and assists aren't always very important if the attacking player is very clever/good in the other areas.
I’m not judging him on his goals and assists. He’s only just turned 18. What I’m saying is it’s very unlikely he’ll be thrown straight into the first team.

Andy Mitten wrote about this lad months ago - Forlan gave Utd a heads up on him and Andy knows Forlan well so got the story before anyone. He’s definitely a talent and apparently Madrid were looking at him but he’s nowhere near 1st team standard right now. There isn’t a chance he’s being signed as an option for now.

Watch a video on him that's NOT a compilation. Watch one of the Pellestri vs videos that I've already posted and you'll get a good imagine of his playing profile.

Rated him ever since I started reading this thread about 10 mins ago.

I think he is coming in our first team as an squad option straight away, he has already played two season of football against men. I don’t see any point to play him against kids anymore.

Getting the nr 10 in a south american team at the age of 18 is pretty special. That number is holy in that part of the world.

Anyone thinking this is a first team signing is just weird honestly, clearly one for the future and not right now.
Yep, it’s amazing that it actually needs saying but here we are.

Hope, We Lose
Reminds me of when we signed Angelo Henriquez. Also we signed Varela from the same club. Does seem to be costing twice as much as Henriquez though, thats something

He is just the Mejbri of this summer. We will see where he stands in 10 months.

I just hope he is a genuine talent and not a Bebe like deal to please the agent.

Always think one of the best ways to judge a player is what their own fans think of them. For Facundo - it seems to be very highly.

Some comments from Reddit - ranging from a year ago to a few days ago. Going to spoiler because there's a few:

Probably the best player to come out of Peñarol since Federico Valverde. Explosive, daring, bold. He’s genuinely the most exciting Uruguayan player I have seen in a while. I would say prospect but he has first team experience despite his young age.
Juventus, Arsenal, Atlético Madrid and Boca Juniors have all shown interest in him.
Forlán and Riquelme have both praised him and said that he has tremendous potential.
Pellistri has the potential to become a very important player for Uruguay in the near future
I also think he’s worth AT LEAST €15m-€20m
Pellistri is going to be world class, but he shouldn’t go to City. I haven’t been this excited for a Peñarol player since Federico Valverde. Kid has a lot of talent.
He's extremely fast, ball glued to his foot, great stamina and off ball movement, fantastic at interplay around the box - but right now still very lightweight and very poor finishing. Will likely be a huge player in future if he develops even half as well as expected. I think he ends up being a floating 10 instead of a winger in the *ahem* Messi vein

Under a tree.
Amazing how many people know his game so well to know he's not ready, I really didn't know we had so many connoisseurs of Uruguayan football...

He’s several years older and plays senior football so no he isn’t even close to being the same as Mejbri.
He is a year older than Mejbri currently and neither of them is ready to play senior football for United. Maybe we can say he is between Mejbri and Dan James if we want to be pedantic.

Just been speaking to a Uruguayan friend about him. Even though he supports their rivals, he tells me even at his young age, he's the best player at Peñarol and has a bright future ahead of him. Peñarol didn't want him to leave until January (they had apparently rejected an offer from an Italian club) as they're fighting for the title, but they are in huge debt so I guess money won that argument.

Do you know his playing style? Is he a dan James - player, kick and run winger? Ronaldo - bags of tricks? Hazard- close control dribbler? Mata - playmaker winger?

Those comments make me think we should buy him and send him on loan for a year like RM did with Valverde.

Maybe send him to Porto for a year as part of the Telles deal?

Those clips on previous page with all touches from from single games look better then those compilation vids.

He obviously is ready to be playing senior football as he's currently playing senior football.

The Uruguayan's that I talk to say he's more in the mould of a Dybala, stylistically. After watching a few videos of his touches and such, I'd probably agree with that. His movements on the ball aren't too dissimilar.

No, we can just say he’s nothing like Mejbri. One was a 16 year old signed to play u18s with no senior football. The other is almost 19, already plays senior football including Copa Libertadores experience. One is a youth signing, the other isn’t even eligible to play youth football. Nothing alike.

There is no between, he already has the experience James while being younger and with more upside. So if you want to be pendantic, it’s a James like signing but better. And nothing like Mejbri.

And if I had to guess you’ve never seen him play and actually have no idea what he’s ready for.

Exactly!! That's what I was getting at. Certain players look better when their natural game shows rather than the presentation of "skill" compilations. VdB would be such a player, also. Looks miles better in "all touches" videos.

I know you're messing about but just in case people take this seriously - he has 0 for crossing and passing. This gives a random number each game. So in that particular game he had 16 for both, next time it might be 10 for both.
Well if that's what Football manager says people best not take this seriously
