Don't want this lazy schmuck bringing down the mood further with his poor attitude. Track record is not good. Do not want.

I’m fully expecting ‘United have failed in their bid to convince Dortmund to lower their demands and are now fully focused on bringing in Dembele’ by lunch time tomorrow.

Im also expecting Gary Coterill to start the day in Dortmund and end it in Barcelona

In our favour, Koeman wanted to get rid of Messi also didn't he...
He was always going to be overruled by the club in that case but yea he reportedly made it a point to tell him he wouldn't be receiving special treatment anymore the first time he met him after taking the job

At least he'll get a better welcome in Barca cause the Germans clearly hate him for being there

Well to be fair to him (I'm Dutch so have to defend him etc.) Messi already wanted out by the time Koeman arrived due to the overall state of the club (especially the board). Believe Koeman tried to convince him to change his mind but couldn't and then wouldn't stand in his way because he doesn't want to keep players against their will as it's bad for morale. Not like he thought Messi isn't good enough or anything.

Barcelona sound quite eager to let him go don’t they
Koeman has been eager to let most players go. Some talented guys like Semedo and Suarez have gone already this summer, they're looking to refresh. I wouldn't read too much into it.

Why would he even stay there? He's not getting any game time, they've lost faith in him. Get him for cheap, he's worth the punt.

It’s exactly what we should be doing. Never mind the deadwood, United should be looking to shift a lot of the frontline players.

Can see us spending the money to sign him for 50m or so tomorrow. Time will tell if he's up for it mentally or can stay fit.

Some will hate it but he's a quality player. Unreal pace and great with both feet. Won't take him long to win people over.

Certainly not the worst alternative to Sancho...

TBF who says we can't get Sancho as well next season.

They had as much trouble moving some of those players as we have with our deadwood

They pretty much had to buy out Suarez, Vidal and Rakitic to get them off their books

I’m not disputing any of that. Just making the point that we should be gutting our entire playing squad.

When he tears his hamstring on his debut everyone can go back to watching his youtube compilations and tell us all what an amazing talent he is.

I agree but given the massive wages we tend to hand out to even squad players, buying players out like them would be a pricey proposition

Where the grass is greener.
We need to pray to every god that he can somehow stay fit, otherwise this is just quite simply a shocking bit of business.

The talent is there, but the fitness quite simply isn't.

Everyone was salivating over him a few years ago and he's had a few injury problems and now nobody want's him?

Dembele does excite me as a player. A loan with an option to buy would be good.

Good to see you’ve taken your tent from the Cavani thread and pitched it up here in readiness for telling us all why this is a great signing when we buy him for tomorrow.
Good to see you're at least consistent with your constant dismay at just about anything.

I don't think Sancho will come here with out Champions League football and that looks unlikely. We need to buy him now to trap him here for a few years. ;)

I'd still have him, on loan with obligation to buy preferably, given the state or non-state of the Sancho deal.

The fact that he never had these health concerns before Barcelona makes me wonder if a change of scenery could help get him back on track. He's still just 23 so I'll never totally write a classy talent off that young but I really hope we can ease him carefully if we do get him.

This makes me think we'll be bringing him in some way or the other, they didn't have the funds all window long until now apparently...
