120 million was always too much for him, and the board did the right thing not caving in to Dortmund's demands. He doesn't have the elite pace to justify such a fee in my opinion. What is criminal, however, is to end the window without any cover for the right wing to take some responsibilty from Mason.

I don't have a problem that we didn't end up signing Sancho, I understand that it was incredibly difficult with Dortmund's demands. But I don't understand why we chased him for the entire window, with no real alternatives lined up. Dembele would have been a good alternative, but we left it too late, and the deal fell apart. And now we have nothing for our primary target position need after all this time. That to me is the real problem here.

If that was the case, Sancho has every right to be pissed off knowing that Utd were willing to pay what Dortmund wanted but were trying to low ball them first. Utd playing poker and losing cost him his much desired move to the Premier league and Utd. I wouldn’t be surprised if his desire to join has reduced.
