Erling Haaland or Jadon Sancho?

Which player would represent a better signing for United in January?

Haaland, he just scores in almost every game and looks threat in every game. He will break many goal scoring records.

Neither. See how Pellistri and Diallo do between now and the end of the season. We might not even need a RW, in which case it's full steam ahead for Haaland next summer .

I think Haaland will sign for City. Augero time is almost up and G.Jesus is not good enough.

Haaland, easily.

Expect Raiola to whip up a mind blowing bidding war (my money is on City)

If Pep stays there for some reason (say they win the league) - I cant see him picking Haaland in my opinion.

He didnt want to start Aguero from the moment he came & as good as he has been I have a feeling he had a bit of force to play a legend of their club whilst he was better than Gabriel Jesus nearly every chance they got to play.

If the manager changes then yes City with all their history with the players dad etc.

If we progress under Ole to the point on a summer transfer window that we are looking like a trophy winning team & we are still playing 4222, 442 diamond, 352 or maybe even the 4231 - I can see us trying to convince Haaland to come with Ole convincing him that this is his next step in the PL.

Doesn't his release clause become effective next summer? If so, there won't be any shortage of interested parties.

I think Pep will love him. I mean which manager won't want to sign a 9 who occupies CBs, has insane movement and scores at insane rate. Combine that with players like KdB who creates chances for run, it will be awful for the league.

Having Haaland and Greenwood in the same team would be absolutely devastating.

Combine that with Bruno, Rashford and VDB and also with the prospect of A stronger defence.

We would be terrifying, I mean I’m terrified and I suppport Man Utd.

Seems a no brainer - Haaland, and it's not even close. He's moved up the leagues without a stutter & seems hard to stop. As long as he's given service, he'll succeed. CRonaldo-esque in that he's physically a phenom & uses it to his best advantage.

Definitely haaland because of his size and goalscoring feats. He will do well in the league.

Raiola will use Utd as the underbidder to ramp up his price, then probably tell us to feck off. (though, Pogba wanting out may have some bearing)

I prefer Haaland over Sancho.

However the fact that Haaland has Raiola has his agent doesnt necessarily feel like he would be the easiest person to manage when he moves to a top tier club that buys more than sells.

I guess he is too talented to not take a risk on so clubs will decide on the day he becomes available.

Which club avoids buying Raiola players? The fact that this is a case shows me something.

Sancho for me. No Raiola is a huge bonus. People here seem to have started going the "he's overhyped" route just because we didn't sign him or something.

Whether it’s either comes down to money.. will the finances be bad. Sponsorship, tv money etc.. are we losing out again this season?

Casting doubts on Lukaku's intelligence is a bit harsh I think, he speaks well and is respectful from what I have seen.
You'll be telling me next he's on Mastermind; specialist subject:Pointing

Haaland, of course. One of the best strikers in the world already, and will only become better and better

Neither. Can the obsession with Dortmund players please end. Let them go to PSG or Juventus please. For the love of god please.

Do people really expect us to sign either of these players?
We will still be interested in Sancho, but not for anything close to 120 mil. If Dortmund don’t lower the price big time and Sancho doesn’t force a move then we will and should move on, especially if the 2 kids we have bought look promising over the course of the season.
Haaland’s release clause will be active only in 2 years and us as well as 95-100% of all big clubs will be willing to pay the clause so it will be Haaland’s choice really.

I voted for Sancho as I think Ole is looking to play a fluid front 3 but then he also wanted Haaland so it's hard to say for sure. Truth is I don't see us getting either, the chance to get Sancho is gone imo and Dortmund won't sell Haaland until 2022 unless a club offers double his buyout clause imo, plus he already turned us down.

It's looking less and less like a front 3 to me.

The 4222, 442 diamond and 352 seem very similar on the attacking front and getting Haaland means we have 2 left footed strikers and 2 right footed strikers.

The only doubt I have about this is that Ole to me had previously looked like a manager that would use nothing apart from the 4231 unless we were going defensive counter attack against a top team.

Even then, in such a formation Haaland is needed because Martial is a support striker that should be playing in a 433 a bit deeper rather than one who leads the line in a 4231.

Haaland for sure. There hasn't been a striker of his caliber since the Lewa, Benz, Aguero, Suarez, Cavani generation. Plus he has to size to bully any defense, fancy him to score at least a brace even on a cold rainy night at Stoke.

Transfer fee, yes but Raiola and Co are certain to ask for massive agent and signing on fee not to mention wages. I'd be surprised if there's more than a couple of clubs who'll be able to afford the package especially as it'll all have to be upfront.

Re the clause date, there's too much confusion. Most journos reported 2022 summer but haaland was asked about it in an interview recently and there the interviewer mentioned 2021

And its 60 mil, right?

I think a certain Harry Kane may disagree

If Kane moved to a club with any semblance of title winning expectations and then did it, I'd agree.

Lewa as a great comparison went up a notch moving to BM. Alas Harry's made his bed now with Spurs

Is this the same Kane who had 3 EPL goals to his name when he turned 21?

Fantastic striker, don't get me wrong, but his numbers looks average next to Haalands' numbers last season. And so does everyone elses for that matter, and he was 19 at the time.

Even Kanes' two best seasons (2016-2018) comes way short of what Haaland did last season:

Kane 2016/17 - 41 goals and 5 assists in 3953 minutes. 96 min/goal, 86 min/contribution
Kane 2017/18 - 35 goals and 7 assists in 3154 minutes. 90 min/goal, 75 min/contribution

Haaland 2019/20- 44 goals and 10 assists in 2751 minutes, 63 min/goal, 51 min/contribution

In words: Kane had a 50% worse goal and contribution rate per 90 than 19 years old Haaland in his so far peak seasons. 50% !! The difference between world class and generational talent.

He has started this season on recordbreaking form though.

Kane does it in the most competitive league in the world and Haaland has not as yet but I would be interested to see what sort of stats he knocks up if he makes the step up.

At this point in time you have to go with Haaland, unless you have Lewandowski, Cristiano or Kane on your team

He's a 1:1 goalscorer who projects as being that for the next decade. Sancho's progression isn't as clear, and he'd have to hit the levels of Ronaldinho to be more valuable than that(scoring 20+ a season while being a playmaking creative monster)
