Undecided voters have spent 4 years smelling his shit and still never pinched their nose. This debate is Trump spraying a temporary airfreshener over the stench. At worst it'll do nothing. At best it will help him.
Biden is giving us exactly what we expected. His performance won't move the needle forwards or backwards.
The point I was trying to make is that Trump will have moved his own needle forward purely by avoiding the mistakes everybody thought he'd make. For undecided voters to still be undecided, this kind of exceeding of expectations is going to make a difference. I don't know how much of a difference. But it will produce a net positive effect for him, imo.
