Insensitive but Cubans really need to get over this Castro nonsense, its been like 70 years and the mans been in the grave for four.
Also, Biden is about as close to Castro as Florida is to being a normal state with sane people.

Nate Silver may well be dead by morning. 538 in shambles.

The under/over performing numbers in Ohio looks good so far for Biden, only 50% counted though.

Oh wow CNN says that Ohio expects a lot more early votes, that so far only 29% of the counted votes are early votes. That is fecking great if true.
Yup. That is very reassuring.
Looks like Biden will flip Ohio.

CNN's coverage is great i feel.

I don't know about early vs election day, but looking at NC couties, Durham, Raleigh (Wake), Chapel Hill (Orange), and Charlotte (Mecklenburg) are all >80% called while the state is at 73%, so his lead will reduce.

Opposite is true in VA and Georgia with the DC suburbs, Atlanta and its suburbs, and Athens, all undercounted but Trump's leads in both are much more substantial. (Of course, Virginia has already been called)

Had to mve from NBC cause they have an advert every 5 seconds and it's doing my head in.

What's best?

Found a CNN stream so I'm not on youtube anymore at least.

The overall trend seems very encouraging, you'd hope it produces results in a couple of the necessary states but no guarantee.

This is what irks me. If it were Jeremy feckin Corbyn as the Dem candidate they might be forgiven, but Biden is pretty much to the right of General Batista. He's hardly going to unveil a giant statute of Che Guevara in Little Havana. And I don't imagine there to be many first generation refugees from the revolution still alive, so why are their offspring holding this bizarre grudge?

Why though? This is one thing that I still don't understand about this election. Huge states like Florida and Texas seem to have no problem with counting mail ballots, why is it such a challenge in these states?

Georgia has narrowed to 3% on the needle from 5%, so still some hope it can narrow further.

Saw some analysis saying that Trump's machismo stick appeals to Latino men... but I find that a tad unconvincing, as it seems specifically Cubans and it doesn't really hold for other Latinos.

Biden only outperforming so strongly because of the early vote it looks like. But I have my fingers crossed it wasn’t only idiots who went to the polls this afternoon

Pretty much every British person I speak to says Trumps a loon and they hope he loses.

BUT, 'experts' say Biden less likely to give UK a decent trade deal. With Brexit and Covid, our economy really needs some good news/a decent trade deal.

Trump/good deal Vs no Trump/bad deal?
Trade deal doesn't mean good deal.
Trump is eager to fleece us.
