NBC showing inside the Pittsburgh counting centre, the woman in view has been doing the same vote slip for about 5 minutes, with a 30 stone bloke stood behind her breathing down her neck. No wonder it takes so long.

That Maura Barrett can stay on the screen a bit longer too.

I'm a bit surprised AP and Fox pulled the trigger on AZ so early and now they are taking their sweet time with PA, even though from what the Nates keep telling me it's much more clear cut at this stage. Is it because that would put Biden over the line?

At least we know who’s more likely to pay the ultimate price for that ridiculous lack of social distancing.

I don’t get this. She’s a Republican who has consistently chosen to vote Republican despite having every chance to do otherwise. While we are at it why don’t we try to flip Merkowski or Romney?
Now we re talking. Republicans wouldn't hesitate a second. We re still nowhere close to leaving the stain of the last 4 years behind. Weve seen how powerful the Senate really is.

They're not gonna call it today, are they.
I'm starting to think there's been advice from security officials about the negative potential of calling it right now, with Trump clearly in the frame of mind that he's in. This is like dealing with a tinpot dictator.

Wouldn't matter anyway, since he faces a host of legal ramifications at state level, nothing a pardon or federal exec order can protect him from.
The truth doesn't matter to him. Such an order gives him a platform to claim he's being treated unfairly and that any outcomes are false, rigged, etc.

How are the senate and house elections going? I'm a bit lost amidst all the infos going around right now. I guess house to Democrats, senate remains Republicans?

Democrats keep the House but surprisingly lost some seats. Republicans look likely to keep control of the Senate but it goes down to two run-off elections in Georgia, held in January. If Democrats win both, the Senate will be at 50-50 (if the as yet uncalled NC and Alaska Senate races finish as expected with red wins). If that happens, and everyone votes on party lines, the Vice President will cast the deciding vote(s).

Largely yes, with the caveat that the Georgia result has automatically triggered another run off in January, where the Dems could in theory win both contested seats and tie the senate at 50-50, which with VP Harris as the tie breaker gives them the assumed advantage. That' still a big hypothetical though, and I wouldn't necessarily get my hopes up.

Did your man on CNN just say "allegations made by the President and his spawn"?

You mean a special place in your digestive fluids, because that's what Hershey's tastes like, digestive fluids.
That's a little harsh. I'd say more gone off milk than digestive fluids. Either way I was shocked when I tasted it on my first trip to America last year. Before this I'd already bought a big bag of it for the work lot. I think half of it's still sat in the office cupboard now, nobody liked it. It makes the cheap ass chocolate you get in some advent calendars taste like Lindt

Graham.

Graham is the quintessential cnut. The sort to snitch you to the teacher but then be friends with you when they realize you are cool. Total twat. He flops like he has no spine.

McConnel is just another angry republican (Who I'm hoping Biden soothes)

This made me laugh. I mean, you're spot on, and you perfectly articulated why I want to punch the screen every time Graham's face appears on it, especially when he opens his mouth.

You summed it up perfectly: Graham is the quintessential cnut.

House retained by Dems although republicans made some unexpected gains.
Senate will go down to 2 run off elections in Georgia . If Dems win both, they have control with Kamala VP as tie breaker. Republicans just need 1 (and people seem to believe it will be Republican Senate in the end).
