Ole post match rant vs Everton

Ferguson must have been clinging on for 20 years
Damn right. SAF whinged and grumbled often and banned reporters who asked him questions he didn’t like and that’s when we were indisputably the top side in the land.

Ole said before the game that he would say what he really thinks after the match, if we won, so I guess that’s what he was alluding to. He knew he couldn’t cut loose like that if we lost but he had it in the chamber ready.

Could be a sign of pressure but SAF felt pressure as well. Not so much fear of the sack but pressure to win every game.

Good to see some anger from Ole and I imagine the players have already seen this a few times. Possibly he’s tougher than he comes across in the media. As an aside, I thought Carrick and McKenna looked under it today - maybe he’s read them the riot act as well.

I can not see any cracking up in the video. And I agree with him. It is not like it is just United that has these problems though but in this case the match comes to early. But he is not cracking up. Too many Ole-out Dr.Phils trying to make a negative angle here.. jeez..

He isn’t the first manager to deal with it And also not the first to complain. I see no issue especially if you have the third most expensive squad in football. If ole had like Pochettino team when he was at spurs where he only has a strong 11 to pick from, the. I would agree a lot with that. However, this is what happens when you are with a big club and competing at different fronts.

Totally calculated.

He kept going back to it when the interviewer tried to change the subject.
Cracked? nonsense

Nothing wrong with that for me. Fergie showed time and again that there's no harm in a calculated piss and a moan about officials in a post-match.

Game was not fulfilling to me. I've studied this clip for an hour after the game to find any sign of insecurity, weakness, pathetic looks etc. I have a body-language book besides me and a pair of infrared goggles, I have not found anything. I'm Ole in again.

Has any other club had the Wednesday/early Saturday turnaround?
I think Chelsea did.

But his point about Liverpool and City, both Tuesday, who play eachother on Sunday is totally fair.

Did you not see him on MNF? He's chomping at the bit to come back. But with this board anything is possible, seeing how they always leave it until the whole place has burned down.

Tuchel is on the ropes at PSG. He could just as easily go there, whilst we're stuck going round in circles here.
I did see him flirting but like you say PSG could be in the market so if no communication has been made then it is just a speculation

You could just see that coming eh? Stay of execution probably. Great win, if not a great performance. Ole is absolutely right about the scheduling. I thought it was crazy too. Our problems remain, and they're definitely not down to scheduling. He lives to fight another day. God knows I'll be celebrating if he succeeds against the odds.

It’s been a problem since forever. It seems like the League authority deliberately sabotaged the chance of English clubs in European competitions for as long as I can remember (remember the time when we had to forfeit the FA Cup to play in CWC?). Meanwhile, in La Liga, they move the schedule so their clubs have an easier time in Europe.

I’ve been Ole out staunchly for a while now but in this instance he’s completely right. If we don’t protest and just suck it up, our players will drop like flies in the next couple of months.

Ole is perfect for this board though. He knows he is incredibly fortunate to be managing a club like Utd and will never make any trouble. Poch (or any other competent manager) will be demanding transfers and changes. Shame but hopefully we make the right decisions and give ourselves a chance to get something from this season.

As for the rant, unnecessary and it looks like he has been planning this for a while. Just to get his own back after failing twice and having the press get on his back. Desperate times call for desperate measures, as they say.

On you go with your opinion. You'd sit in Uniteds changing room and piss yourself laughing because you don't think the manager is 'ard enough for you, and believe that in spite of all he's seen and done that he's weak and scared. Got it
On I go where? You’re not making sense.

It wasn't even a rant. A good rant is off the cuff and emotional. This was clearly something he was going to say whatever the result.

Besides this sort of thing happens all the time to all the clubs in Europe. It won't change anything, it just gives the hacks something to write tomorrow instead of 'what will Pochs United look like?' or some other guff

Ole is spot on, very poor scheduling, after the trip to Turkey on Wednesday, its madness to play on Saturday.

We have short memories? come on lads. We didn't have a good transfer window, we bought young players who one hasn't even played and one joining in January. Not many to have a quality squad depth enough for rotation.

A major club like Utd should well know how many games we will have coming thick and fast. It's pathetic to be blaming the authorities. The blame lies solely on the board and the lack of planning for a season that will have games

I'm just not buying it.

He doesn't seem livid or rattled it sounds like he's frustrated over the fixture schedule somewhat amplified by Shaws injury.

BT chose United v Everton which means a 12.30 kick off. That’s the price we pay as a club for TV money.

Red Card for Casemiro!
I think he's been waiting for a win to make that point and was pissed off with the scheduling in general even before. Knew it wouldn't fly if he'd blamed the fixtures after the draw with Chelsea or the loss to Arsenal. This was calculated.

Feels like Ole doesn't have the personality to be scary when he's emotionally angry because he's usually a light-hearted person and he's still got that baby face. It just looks ... off. Pseudo analysis aside, he's got a good point and he chose a good time to bring it up.

Wow, the wage does not make them biologically different being. They are still human, and their muscles need rest and recovery.
Higher wages pay for better players. We have Henderson, Matic, De Beek, Pogba, Cavani on the bench. Then we have Greenwood and Telles out. Some of them may have problems, but they are more talented than players at a lot of the lower clubs in their first 11s. Plenty of players there to give sufficient rest to members of the team. It's Solskjaer's and the player's fault that we had to bring them on against Istanbul.

In this case, I don't see anything to complain about.

Your ability to talk shit and desire to somehow big up Poch is both fascinating and worrying.

I've never seen him like this, he was absolutely livid. What did people think? He had some valid points but it seems like he's cracked - the pressure is telling.

EDIT:

Video thanks to @Withnail
Completely fabricated. He's just trying to create a siege mentality, us vs them thing. Personally I'm all about that.

Chelsea had a home game on Wednesday and today another home game with a late kickoff, so still better off than us.

Apparently we've made contact with Poch if reports are to be believed. It's just whether we will actually pull the trigger, or this win will buy Ole more time to delay the inevitable. We'll have to wait and see I suppose.

2 years of moaning about him being tepid. Once he let's go it means he's cracked. It's unwinnable for him with some people.

He's dead right, to complain but also to show some fight and siege mentality instead of talking about how his job was saved
I agree with you. Well said.

He has every right to be angry about the scheduling. It’s not on.

Seems strange to complain now though after a win when you have played diabolically badly on other game days with more rest.

I think he should be replaced with a top class coach but it is extremely pathetic for any Manchester United supporter to have a go at him or slate him for standing up for his players. He is absolutely right to say that and I fully support him in this.

Both Klopp and Pep HAVE been complaining about this as well. Ole isn’t alone in this.

This kind of blasting of the FA or whomever he is giving it to is so much better when you have won. He's not using it as an excuse for losing - he is simply and correctly calling them out for being a shower of shit - and despite them we still won is what he says.

It's much here to let go after winning the match than before the match. Don't understand the cracking comments. He is playing it up.

I was so absorbed with the US elections that I didn't realised the match is today. When I saw on my utd app that the match was kicking off, I was quite shocked as we only just played in Turkey. Ole has every right to complain.

The sad thing is instead of standing behind our manager, our fans question whether he is cracking
