He did miss some great chances against Bayern, but that is very unlike him. He has the best conversionrate in Europe and scores from more than 1/3 of his shots, so missing sitters is not among the most accurate description of him. Not missing them would be more accurate, as his finishing is second to none.
Fair enough - can't claim to watch him regularly. I did see a Norway game recently where he did miss another one on one chance, however, every striker misses chances now and again. I love how he always seems to be on the move

He's no Greenwood

Ive never seen such a pure striker of the ball today in football on such a consistent basis.

One touch, BANG.

Greenwood is good, but he generally needs to set himself up with a couple of touches and cross overs.

Haaland just needs a pass into open space and can smash it in the net so cleanly.

There are a few RW options who are better than Sancho, but there is only one striker at Haalands level.

Haaland now has 15 goals and 2 assists in his last 10 matches.

If we couldn't afford Sancho for €120m last window then I don't see how we can afford either now. Our finances certainly aren't getting any better without fans in the stadium.

I think I said Sancho earlier but now I changed my mind. Go all out for Haaland next summer.

Haaland will be one of the greatest footballers of all times - Sancho will be a very good winger

Right now it is Haaland over literally anyone. I can’t think of any player I’d rather have than him.

It’s not a question of affording it , it’s a question of is he worth it in this present moment. He clearly isn’t and if you were to take his current form he certainly isn’t worth 3 figures.

Haaland has/will have a release clause, that's why he has signed for Borussia.

Let’s go all in for him, he is truly generational talent and going to be the best goalscorer in the game. Out of all the young players, I rate him higher than everyone else. Maybe only Mbappe could match him.

We have nothing offensively on the right hand side and this has been an ongoing problem for maybe a decade so regardless of the poll I’m going to say I’d go with Sancho over Haaland.

Expecting Greenwood at 18-19 after one full season to consistently be our saviour on the right was short sighted and naive of anyone who thought that’d be the case, Mata isn’t a realistic option other than the odd game either.

Yes Haaland scores a lot of goals but look at the support he has in creating those chances, would he get that for us ? I don’t think he would in our current set up. AWB offers nothing on the right (I find it mental he was originally a right winger) offensively but what AWB would offer is a solid defensive base behind Sancho for Sancho to focus solely on things up top and I think with Sancho and Rashford flanking Martial or Cavani or Greenwood with Fernandes in behind we’d be perfectly balanced and score/create bundles.
He actually scored a lot of goals everywhere he played so far - not only Dortmund, but also he former club, and for his country.

Of course Haaland is a major talent and his trajectory is that he’ll end up as the best centre forward in world football in the next five years but his former club and Dortmund both had balanced sides, we could have Messi or Ronaldo in our team and they’d do nowhere near what they can because we’re a hugely unbalanced side.

We literally offer nothing on the right as AWB is an old school right back who’s strengths are in defending and doesn’t offer much at all going forward whilst both Greenwood and Mata come inside because both prefer to be central, all our attacking outlets are from the left and any opposition manager will simply try to cut off our left side thus meaning unless Haaland will evolve his game to beating 3 or 4 men and scoring from nothing he wouldn’t be anywhere near as effective for us.

If we had both Sancho AND Haaland then that’s a different story as they’d be flanked by Rashford and Fernandes too which is perfect balance, my opinion isn’t based on who’s better between Sancho and Haaland and simply about who we have a greater need for and for me Sancho is our greatest need as we’ve not had a genuine top quality right sided attacker since Ronaldo left in 2009.

I agree with this so we just sell Pogba and Martial then we are sorted !

It's obvious we need a proper striker over more fancy wingers.

However, it's delusional it think Haaland will ever play for United. Seriously don't do this to yourselves.
Totally in agreement with you. Other than by us offering an astronomic (stupid) wage, I cannot think of a single reason why he would wish to join us.

Unfortunately we probably missed the chance with Haaland. What a signing he would have been. I like Martial a lot but Haalaand is just a different beast.

I hope we can somehow be in the race to sign him but literally every top club is going to want him.

Just let it sink in how much better we’d be with Haaland the team. I’m convinced he would have pushed us on from scrambling around for top 4 to a realistic push at winning the league both by being an out and out selfish goal scorer (just what we need) plus his link up play and the improvement it would have created in Rashford, Martial and Greenwood. We shall never know.

Did we really miss this one because of quibbling about some poxy agent fees? The time to get him was this time as next time all the big hitters will be all over him and no doubt Bayern Munich will sink their claws into him. Tragic.

I reckon the dirty Berties will be looking for a top striker and will pay top dollar for the right player.
Aguero is coming to the end of his top level career and is out injured more often than not.
Jesus isn’t consistent and they’re relying on the attacking midfield and wingers to provide the goals.
Sterling had a golden scoring spell last season, which might not be repeated to the same level.
Haaland might be tempted to go there, although RM looks to be favourite atm.
Will Dortmund want to deal with us anyway?

It seems more likely the buy out clause and guarantee of first team football were the issues.

I wouldn’t mind sell half of our squad to fund him. Even Dortmund asking for 200m I’d still go for him.
He basically guarantee 40+ goals a season, and he could have another 12 to 15 years at the top. If he does have consistency and longetivity who knows maybe he will have another 400-600 goals for any team who own him for that long.

We will miss out on both, sadly. We still have a chance with Sancho but I see Halaand going to Madrid, Bayern etc

If Liverpool or City bag either, it will utterly depressing to watch.

Didn’t his father play for City though?
I think City has a chance of getting him, if they willing to offer big money and big contract, which I don’t think will be an issue. But that may also depends whether they will get Messi or not next summer.

He did and he is reported as once saying, "I really dislike United and I can't stand their players".

With a dad who’s a former Leeds and Man City player, who hates Utd, I think there’s next to zero chance of Erling Harland joining us.
It’ll be Bayern, Real Madrid or City (p.s. I don’t think Barca or PSG will be in the running either).

Haaland senior's feelings towards United is not relevant to where Erling plays football. This has been clear for a long time, and Alfie has stated that he will not stand in the way of a transfer to Old Trafford. Alfie knows Ole well, Ole has been Erlings coach in Molde and United has enormous status in Norway. Despite what the CAF thinks, we are still a powerhouse in world football.
If we convince him we have ambitions, there is no reason why he should not consider us the same way he would City, Liverpool, Barca, RM and Bayern. Which is the only realistic suitors (minus Barca because of f'ed up economy). Italy or France is not an option because of language and status.

Easy - We can get Sancho and he wants to come to United (or at least he did)
We cant get Haaland - and besides hasnt his mentor said he would be a good fit at Liverpool and the only United he is interested in is Leeds? Dreaming of Haaland will only end in misery
