This is a huge team. We potentially have Fred, Scott, Matic, Pogba, VdB, Bruno, Mata, as well as Cavani, Rashford, Martial, Greenwood and James between the starting XI and the bench? Hmm... if Pogba and Scott are well rested, then this is game on for us. Fitness level will be key for this game.

I hope we see McTominay do this to the Di Maria

Is CL done on head to head? I'm a little concerned about tonight as PSG can be a really quality side and we are inconsistent to say the least. So If us and RBL go into the last match day on 9 points each, would a draw be enough to see us through in the last game?

Damn that away game in Turkey, we should be through by now.

Just had a look and we are 11 goals better off than RBL so regardless of tonight we should be ok with a draw in Germany. I honestly am worried about us messing up the last 2 games and ending up in the Europa, call it PTSD with United the last 6-7 years . On the other hand there is weirdly every chance that we win the next 2 games quite easily too. Also I don't think RBL are certain to go to Turkey and get a result either. Istanbul are the group 'minnows' but certainly are well above the level of most minnow teams.

Anyway hopefully its just worry from me and we go out tonight and put PSG into the Europa League.

I was in the crowd that night. This was a low point on a bad night.

That was a deliberate attempt by Young to injure an opponent. Spiteful and shameful and Di Maria absolutely killed us where it counted.

Some of the crowd booed PSG as they left the pitch, so stupid when we had been thoroughly outplayed.

If Leizpig loses today we're basically through I think. Even if we lose the last two matches.

Bearing in mind everyone is fit bar Shaw, I’d go:

    —————Deano—————
    ——McT Maguire Lindelof
    AWB——————————Telles
    —————VdB Fred————
    ——————Bruno—————
    ———Cavani Rashford——

Sit back and counter as we specialise in doing, and hope McT can play like how he did at RCB against Jovic, Mitrovic and the like against Neymar and Mbappe. If we play well (I mean, obviously), I think we’ll nick it 2-1 or draw 1-1. Both will do. Cavani will be desperate to score as well, so I just hope Ole doesn’t leave him out.

Tuchel loving Rashford up in the presser, calling us a "big big club". Nice to hear, I'm sure he'd love to be considered for us one day, especially with a foot out the door in Paris.

They tried hard, but the reality is that Ole is spanking them in a way that they do not comprehend.

    I'm sure he would. I wouldn't.

Just curious. Was he one of those guys the caf wanted to replace Ole until he got spanked?
Truth be told I don't know. I certainly didn't. Poch, Nagelsmann, Rose are the three I see most often.

Nervous. Having nightmares about losing this and then losing to RB.

Tuchel has been viewed as a fraud on here. After the Unal Emery’s failure at Arse after his ‘amazing success’ at PSG, we really can’t measure how good any coach is based on winning the Ligue with PSG

Slightly more defensive than I expected, which is weird.

Bakker offers more in attack than Diallo at LB.

di María could have played at CM with Verratti and Danilo Pereira offering enough protection to make that work.

Yer ok with Di Maria screaming feck off at disabled fans though? I'd say it's more like Young thought he was a twat and had it coming after the way he acted whilst at United.

I was there too and the crowd went wild  at least my section did.

Was an awful night many around me agreed that PSG could easily go on and win the whole thing...

Losing out on the title to Monaco was bad, but Emery has a good body of work from his time at Almería, Valencia and Sevilla. And is doing pretty well at Villarreal this season.

La Liga might be his playground. He failed in Russia and then also England after an okay spell at PSG.

I do think, like Moyes, he suffered from directly replacing an iconic and legendary manager at Arsenal. He even went on a 22 game unbeaten run at one stage, which shows you that people shouldn't get carried away with Ole.

If that's the case, it makes sense to me, in that they are petrified of us hitting them on the counter attack. They know they have more than enough pace and skill up front to score, so just have to get the ball upto their forwards.

I think PSG are potentially just as dangerous on the counter as we are, so it could be a weird game in both teams allowing the other to have the ball in their own half.

I hope Ole asks our team to start fast and strong; if we get an early goal, it should be enough to win or draw the game for us.

Think Di Maria is out of form, and Keane is a more target man/box player which could be smart.

PSG need to win this. So being a little cautious at first might backfire if we take the lead.

But yeah, Neymar can win a game on his own when in the mood. And Mbappé can terrorise any defence if given enough space to work with. He's been a little off his game in recent weeks, though. Kean has been good for them since signing. He was even decent against us when subbed on a few weeks ago.

The main worry is the inclusion of Verratti (2nd most important player after Neymar) and Marquinhos who is a big upgrade at CB. He can even play DM, but it doesn't appear that way for this. He dominated Pogba at OT in 2019. One of the best man marking exhibitions that I have ever seen. But Pogba is pretty much a non factor these days. Unless he makes a surprise start tonight. Highly unlikely.

Verratti starting could be a massive one for them. If he's on it, he's got the possibility to run a game in a way nobody else on the field tonight can.
