Right man to move us on after Jose but there is nothing of note to show after 2 years. He has to go but I fear we'll be saying this for the rest of season. His poor management has cost us this group, the writing was on the wall in Istanbul.

Honestly wondering where the die-hard Ole fans are in this thread? Even if we end up with a draw or win, it’s clear as day Ole doesn’t have a clue when it comes to in-game management. It’s always a gamble and he thrives off “happy accidents” when things seemingly click but collapse when faced with the next decent challenge. It shouldn’t be like this.
Agreed, let’s say the magic kicks in once more and we get the draw in this game, it doesn’t mask the problem. Having a team go from shambles, to clicking, to shambles, to clicking isn’t the sign of a well coached team.

We aren't going anywhere with Ole as the manager. He just gets saved time after time by Bruno's brilliance and doesn't have the stomach to drop underperforming players.

A few giggles, a laugh here and there. The obligatory Instagram post. That's it really.

Compare Pool's playstyle with ours, its really laughable.
Let'a be fair.

Liverpool are pretty awful to watch right now too. They're just grinding out results though.

Don't you worry, they will soon all be in here stating how it's the players not Ole.
Ah, I think the likes of @Bilbo, @Bobcat, and @Leftback99 will give Ole some shit for that starting line-up and system. They aren’t totally blind and will clearly see that losing 2 back post goals when playing a back 5 shows it up badly.

Don’t expect any sense from the Ole usernames or åäø crew.

This game alone won’t get him sacked, but that set-up begs so many god damn questions about that entire management team. We have so much history under these guys of being utterly fecking awful when we tinker this much.

Anyway, he’s got 45 minutes to give the players a chance in their regular system. Come on now Ole, and come on United ffs!

Mark Bruno out of the game and there's not anything of substance in this team.

Supporting Ole is like a badge of honor for the large majority I suspect. Don't forget the ones who are Ole out are seen as lesser fans to begin with.
Exactly, I fecking hate this 'Top Red' attitude as if it's a badge of honour.

He has to go, I am fully in the Ole out camp now, regardless of whether we turn the game around. Far too many poor performances and we can't play well for more than 20 minutes in most games and relying on moments of individual brilliance. The team always looks tactically inept.

Sadly agree with you there. Ridiculous stance.

Which underperforming players are playing tonight? They're all 'his' players.

This is the result of cowardly tactics being found out, is all this is. Only 3 players with any attacking bone in their body says it all.

Switch to a back 5 to be more defensive, only to get destroyed by Leipzig because we're playing a back 5 that leaves huge gaps on our flanks

Beginning of the end I suspect - if League form falters he is on thin ice.

Those RB players aren’t that great, if we are being honest. Some nice touches but if they had more quality they could have scored four or five given the space and opportunity our back line has given them.
It just highlights how poorly coached/managed we are. They are so well drilled and have shown us exactly how to press and counter. It’s another footballing lesson for Ole.
Woodward could do a fecking good job interview in the stadium tonight if he’s got anything about him.

We’ll lose this and get a draw vs City and somehow that will be seen as progress.

Compare us to Leipzig. That’s the level of coaching we should be look at.

How does this numpty get the lineups and tactics wrong every time?

We play a back 5 and 2 CDMs yet concede 2 early goals.

We need to play midfielders that can pass the ball atleast. You can't go a game without playing some football and trying to control the game in spells.

He's a counter attack one trick pony.

Spot on. A good manager can work with average players.

Just off the top of my head we have gone behind on our last 4 games in a row.

Either way I don't care that we came snack in two of those games. It is useless. We are useless. It should be a sackable offence.

It might be more it can't remember?

After spending 150m over the last 2 years on that defence. It's inexcuseable.

I counted the run of good performances and parked the results. I got to 3 before the tripe performance against West Ham, where he tinkered too much. And now today where even before kick off you just knew, he wants to hand Leipzig the win.

That's the only way I can explain it. Why else would he set up a system that obviously wouldn't work, that invites Leipzig on to us? It's truly baffling. The Fred substitution, the incorrect personnel against West Ham, the incorrect system AND personnel today. He's just thrown away the credibility from the mini run he head. Again!?

Take away the counter-attack & these players have no clue what to do. Tactically all over the place & that’s down to the coaching. So often the players play as if they’re playing together for the first time. Unacceptable.

2 years in & we still lack any style of play to our football (attacking or defending), instead relying on luck & some individual brilliance to get results. Even if by some miracle we get a result, he’s not the right manager to get us where we need to go. He’s done a job after Jose left, improved the morale, but the quicker he goes the less time is wasted.

But it's not defensive. It's just dumb and cowardly.

How can we build up or try to create any play with only 3 attacking players and 2 of those on the wing?

The McTominay & Matic pairing has shown to be terrible. We have never looked comfortable with them. When you compound that with 5 at the back too, It's obvious you're going to get fecked.

so stupid and primitive, I cant believe we even gave him the job. Just considering him to the job was comical and tells you about our stupid board. I hope he can be sacked today.

Imagine what Poch can do with the offensive talent at our disposal. It's really not that difficult of a decision ffs.

Been shite for ages haven’t we

Losing games at home and scraping out wins away usually after going behind, in the long run the luck won’t last forever.

I thought we'd go with a 4 rather than throwing Shaw into such an important game.

For me the damage was done against Instanbul. I've been vocal in expecting us to crash out since then. Losing to these isn't a disaster, that game was.

Damn and here I was thinking the 7 at the back was a really good idea. Donnys coming on hopefully to bolster the defence.
