Sack. I've been sack for a long time. Finally sort the entire structure of the club at the same time

The difference was Naglesmann learnt from his mistakes. Ole makes the same mistakes multiple times and does not learn from them.

Their best defender was out, imagine if we attacked from the start

Keeping watching just to see what he says if he says "we come together" i may scream

He is out of his depth, he's had a few good results and some good times but his time here is up.

I can almost guarantee we win vs City and the cycle continues. The board will gloss over this and say we fought hard in a tough group so he is safe

I think it will take a spanking off something like a Brighton off the back of another loss. We did nearly get a spanking off Brighton if they could finish lets not forget

I am giving up watching us if we lose to Citeh next game and he's still our manager. We need a proper boost and someone who will finally start implementing modern football not this throw a dice stuff. First halves against WHU and today would have never happened if our play had a clear structure and we were trying to control the game ourselves not like a top team, trying to defend like some smalltime club.

What was he thinking when playing 5 at the back, unfit Shaw and zombies McTominay + Matic? If he takes AWB on his way out I would be a happy person. I defended him but he's just Antonio Valencia with no muscle.

Btw what do we think about DDG? I am convinced that a more vocal goalkeeper wouldn't fall asleep and anticipated that. Should make a statement and give run to Henderson and see if he's up to it. The season is already fecked up, even though we know we will see few bounce backs only to lose to the likes of Aston Villa at home.

It really pains me to see some mega talented players playing in this team which are possibly only said "to go out and have fun" instead of some proper tactical coaching. This team is much better than that even with the usual suspects.

Absolutely there will be people defending Ole, and it's important at times like these to counterweight the tide of I told you sos. Winning the champions league was never a requirement for a successful season under Ole, and that hasn't changed. Pull yourselves together. Team building phases will see nights like this.

Who do we want to replace him? Poch seems the obvious one, I just hope we don’t end up with Allegri; he’s a good manager but just so boring.

We’re delaying the inevitable with him to be honest. That 3rd place finish is his peak. He isn’t getting sacked of the back of this but losing to City at OT might do it.

And if individual errors is a reoccurring excuse for not winning, then maybe its time to look at the coaching and the tactics.

SAF had time
He won the fecking Cup Winners Cup beating Bayern and Real with a small club. He broke the Scottish monopoly of Rangers and Celtic.
What has Ole won apart from the Norwegian league? You might as well get someone who won the league in Fiji or Samoa.

How many fecking wrong things can one bloody manager do in one game ?

Starting the game with 5 defenders and 2 DMF, setting us to defend and play for the draw.

Subbing off Telles and bringing Shaw back to LB then immediately afterwards subbing Shaw for Williams. Wasted 2 subs on bull-fecking-shite and nothing else.

Putting on TFM while we bloody need a win. Williams, Axel and TFM. He put on 3 defensive players while we were losing.

I can't fecking believe how a manager can be so out of depth in such a big game. I really can't. David fecking Moyes would have made half of these mistakes.

I'm so fecking done and I'm sorry everyone. I'm so fecking done with Ole. I'm so fecking done with being optimistic about anything, literally. We can defeat City 6-0 and I'll still be done with him.

Feck football.
This was a superb rant, enjoyed this more than anything tonight.

Seriously, that starting 11 against a team we just thumped 5-0, and with our history of being utter wank when we tinker.

I still can’t get my head around it.

I feel like tonight was very telling.
Yes mate,Ole got caught with his pants down tonight.

Just terrible, disjointed, clueless football. Not good enough at all and it’s not just the result, the quality of the football is so poor.

With each game and with each lame and feckless performance it gets harder to see how Ole can take us anywhere other than where we currently are.

The difficulty is that on the surface we’re doing ok in the league but the reality of what we’re watching is pretty dire stuff. Ole was absolutely rinsed by Naglesmann.

Tuchel and nagelsmann must be laughing at our PE teacher. To think that some actually believed that Ole was better than them
I bet Nagelsmann couldn't believe his eyes when he saw our team. Starting 5 defenders with Matic & McTominay ahead was criminal. Invited them on straight away. Our goose was cooked from the start with such a cowardly mentality.

I only hope that he doesn't get away with it away, yet again. Mans the Teflon Don in the eyes of the media/fanbase it seems.

Jose is by far and its not even close the best manager United have had post Fergie...

Lets not get silly now.
I didn't want Jose and I wanted him out but I agree, it's not even close. Ole isn't even in the same league as him.

We’re going nowhere

When we win it seems to be a fluke and we’ve got no consistency, waste of time.

Im not jumping in the ole out bandwagon just yet because ole wasn't supported in the transfer market.

Woodward out is more like it.
No transfer window will solve problems like his coaching, formation and his bizarre subs/timings of subs.

In Ole's defence, I'm sure nowhere in his tactical plan did he have AWB giving Angelino that much space and then allowing a free cross. I stick up for AWB but he's fecked us tonight.

However, Ole is still fully responsible for us going out of the CL. The loss in Turkey because we didn't take it seriously enough. The absolute madness of not taking Fred off. And then setting up in a seemingly ill-prepared 3-5-2.

Thats 3 matches and all we needed was 1 point. Let that settle in.

Ah, I think the likes of @Bilbo, @Bobcat, and @Leftback99 will give Ole some shit for that starting line-up and system. They aren’t totally blind and will clearly see that losing 2 back post goals when playing a back 5 shows it up badly.

Don’t expect any sense from the Ole usernames or åäø crew.

This game alone won’t get him sacked, but that set-up begs so many god damn questions about that entire management team. We have so much history under these guys of being utterly fecking awful when we tinker this much.

Anyway, he’s got 45 minutes to give the players a chance in their regular system. Come on now Ole, and come on United ffs!

Yeah no defending anybody tonight from me. Before the game started I felt he'd picked the wrong team, but individual errors cost us badly and once again a collective failure to actually start a game on the front foot. Its baffling and infuriating.

We obviously aren't ready to compete at this level. The loss in Turkey was unforgiveable. We should have had two dead rubbers after that.

Tonight, AWB messed up for the first. The 3rd goal was a mess. Mason misses a chance straight after their 1st goal that I'd back him 9 times out of 10 to score. Goals change games always. Always. We havent been clinical enough lately apart from in bursts. Its not sustainable. I think we badly missed Cavani tonight, but it is what it is. On we go.

Oh my. So many Football Manager kids in here. Just waiting for a lost game.

He didn't get the team right but fixed things and we were better team for about 60min. We lost in first 15-20 min. After that we had control over game. Not that it matters.
Didn’t really fix things did he? Leipzig were content to defend their lead.

Then, needing a goal to secure progression, he brings on TFM.

So no, he didn’t fix things.

He should get sack because of this. Totally agree, how we sub 2 left back and throw 2 more defenders is beyond me. What kind of manager do we have?!

This is Manchester United. Real Madrid, Barca, Juventus and Bayern wouldn't stand for this and these are the clubs we want to be back amongst. The support for this manager boggles my mind.

Get a grip man. You are the sort of supporter that will call for Pochs head in 12 months. I’m not saying everything is fine and rosy but I see progress and an far better style of football than I’ve seen that past 4-5 years
No, I wouldn't. I just call rubbish when I see it. Ole has shown no progress in 2 years and he joined on 3 year contract. Regardless of if its Ole, Poch or Jose - that shit is simply not good enough.

Ole doesn't even have a CV to buy him good will, so he has literally nothing to rest on.

This. People were celebrating and talking about him being the man when we came from behind against Southampton. But no one wants to look at the quality of players he has. Fecking Southampton could only call upon a no goal scoring striker Shane Long as a sub while we had Cavani. He isn't a good manager and he is being paid a pretty penny for doing the bare minimum for what he has player wise.
Doesn't the Cafe want him replaced with the guy who won nothing with the best striker in the league, other than third place in a two horse title race?

You really are delusional if you think we were the better team. Leipzig toyed with us bar two goals that shouldn't have been goals.

How is anyone still backing this guy?

every single win is in spite of the way he sets the team up...

we go behind in every game because he has no idea what he is doing.

we get most points when we are able to scramble back via individual brilliance after a shocking start, usually having to completely change an ill thought out system in the process..

we have a decent squad, full of goals. Our weakest link is the manager.

He is just not very good. We started terribly and why does it happen so many times?
It was a big game we needed to be up for it.

Give him a 10 year extension.

It doesn't matter at all that we bowed out of the CL group after securing 6 points from the 1st two games.

Bruno and Greenwood's introduction to the team are the only reasons why he still has his job. Without Bruno's individual brilliance this team tactically amounts to nothing. The team doesn't know what a defensive shape is and even during buildup, it seems like our gameplan is just pass it to Bruno maybe he creates something.

As someone who has always been ole in... he’s making it increasingly more and more difficult to do so. I want him to do it ... want him to be successful, as a fan who grew up in the 90s... he is iconic at this club. I just can’t see how he’s good enough tactically. The coaching... the excuses.... it’s just .. very underwhelming. Really really poor from us. Yet again.

Setting up defensively against a team we put 5 past was quite honestly insane and I'm not surprised it bit us in the arse quite early

It’s inevitable he will leave. Question is who will replace him? Who will want to? I don’t think this is an appealing job.
