Don't know if Bill Burr's just a really good actor but damn, he can really carry a scene, this was pretty much his episode. How good was that scene in the canteen as well? A masterclass in tension building. Boba's armour looks incredibly sleek.
He works great in this ‘seriously goofy’ space, same as Weathers. I was hoping he would join the team.

They needed a flagship show and boy did they deliver. Probably the best thing on TV right now. The only show that comes close IMO is The Boys, but I didn't really like season 2 that much. It's very episodic but the production value is fantastic and the soundtrack is great too. Looking forward to the finale.

All I want is for Bill Burr to threaten to put someone through a wall.

Ooh helmet off episode.

Didn't PP have a hissy fit about getting no face time on this show and is this what they compromised on?

Bill Burr was great.

Another brilliant episode... Thought Mayfield's character arc was great, plus I've got a lot of time for whenever they explore the idea that a lot of basic stormtroopers /low rank imperials aren't necessarily evil /bad.

That can't be true surely? I mean he knows what he signed up for you'd think?

Already feel like Season 3 is gonna take too long to arrive.
They've announced it'll be back December 2021. About 14 months' gap, but given the impact COVID has had on the industry that's not too bad.

Re: the last episode, I'm genuinely gobsmacked at how good Bill Burr was - I've been following his standup career for decades now, and it's astonishing to me that he is now able to turn in such a subtle, nuanced, and evocative performance. Huge kudos for making me care about such a peripheral character.

Someone told me that they booted him off set and looking around online there is some substance to the rumours.

I thought he was brilliant in this episode. Be nice to see him more often now. The show really has stepped up a few gears. That was another excellent episode.

I can understand his concern. How many even know who played Vader (or cared that he died recently). As an actor, it's not exactly rewarding in fame, though I assume money is good.

I think he'll be back next season too.
His most famous role had him getting his skull crushed through his eye sockets, so if he is a real actor he should appreciate how meta of a method acting gig never showing his face is.

The last episode was good but not as good as the previous two. Anyway Mando taking of his helmet for his love of Grogu was powerful. Also watching him look vulnerable and uncomfortable at the table was quite telling...the helmet really does hide his emotions. Surely I wasn't the only one who was relieved when he covered his face again.

I like the series...it's Star Wars but not Star Wars.

The Green Cross Code Man didn't do much...that was all James Earl Jones where as Pascal has been great as the Mandalorian.

I don't think it's quite the same... With the Internet and celebrity and fandom being what it is nowadays, I think everyone who likes the show is fully aware that it's Pedro Pascal (or that bloke from GoT) playing him.

Is this the first episode with no Grogu?

Nice episode overall!
Yep.

I thought it was good they kept the focus primarily on Mando after the last couple of weeks where Ahsoka & Boba stole the limelight.

Yeah and the funny thing is pretty much everything done was for Grogu despite his not being seen at all

There are super-nerd YouTube channels that are taking the map shown in the episode and comparing it to "The Star Wars Galaxy Map" to locate Baby Yoda.

I could have sworn I recognized Burr’s old boss from somewhere, but looking through his filmography I think it might just be my imagination. He did show up rather notoriously in two great episodes in S4 & 5 of a show somewhat recently, but I don’t know if I could’ve seen his face through the veneer. He was

I recognised him as the guy who interrogates the kingsman candidates whilst they’re tied to the train tracks. Niche I know.

Most people who get that feeling will get it from a certain superhero movie he was in, and in which he used a very different voice.

The Night King?
Yes. He had a very small but pretty highly visible role in a very famous comic book/superhero movie, and I think that's almost certainly where organicpotatoes is getting that feeling of 'where-have-I-seen-that-guy-before-dammit' from.

He was also in the Doom movie. (The one with The Rock.)

He's in absolutely fecking everything. Peaky Blinders and Batman Begins were the first two I recalled.

Are you referring to the Thor movie? I have not seen that one. I saw the Batman film he was in but I don’t know if that explains it.

Nope. Batman's the one I was thinking. When you said you'd checked his filmography but still didn't see anything that would have given you that feeling, I figured you might not have gone back that far and it's the highest profile thing he's been in.

Hmmm. Maybe you saw him somewhere in real life.

FFS, I’ve spoken to the guy at a convention, and never recognised him in this. I thought I was good at recognising actors.

Cracking finale. If you're reading this and you've not seen it yet, I'd recommend getting on it quick, as I suspect the spoilers are going to be rife.
