That's the Harry Maguire we all thought we were getting. Not spectacular, but very solid.

A bit of a hit and miss performance. Some good long balls, wonderful blocks and shielding. Some stupid passes and easy giveaways besides getting caught ahead of the ball a few times as well

No quality on the ball when we tried to play from the back all day, only Fernandes had a worse pass success % than him.

I think his head got fecked with the whole arrest thing, now that's falling out of people's (and probably Harry's) he's starting to look like the defender that changed our defence when he first came again.

Wakey-Wakey. You were quick to the keyboard when we beat Newcastle. Keep that energy lad.

Here we are again after a big European game with our captain laying another egg. . .

Once again.

Generally thought he was pretty good tonight bar a few little positioning issues then that brain fart where he held on to it for an age. More than made up for it mind.

Defending was good, his accurate long passing was one of the few attacking routes we had.

Did well by dealing with absolutely nothing? I would say that was his easiest game of the season
He blocked a very good chance for De Bruyne which would have been a certain goal and handled Sterling well when he needed too. Decent game today I thought.

So in your head in order for a defender to have a good game he has to make a bunch of last ditch tackle? City had nothing today and it was because of our defense...

Best I've seen him play in ages, I think. Read everything well and made a number of important blocks as a result.

Pretty solid today. Terrible in building play from the back but when it came to defending, he did very well.

In immense form at the moment since the slow start to the season. I’d probably give Shaw MOTM today but Maguire (and McTom) ran him close.

Poor on the ball and gifted them a dangerous freekick near the end, the rest of the game suited him as City didn't press, the back 4 was narrow and McFred were acting as bodyguards ahead of him and Lindelof.

All that said, not a foot wrong today.

A bit rich seeing as you’ve been stewing over my original reply for months it seems.

Thought he defended very well today, still quite slow and ponderous on the ball. Can't win them all I suppose.

A bit rich considering your silence whenever he performs badly; no point piping up when he plays well but scarpering when he performs as he did on Tuesday.

Your performance in this thread is much like our club captain though so I’ll be bookmarking your post again for later reference; I didn’t start this fella.

See you in a few weeks/months I’m sure, now back off to that cave you’ve been in since Tuesday, we drew ffs!

A shame that his heading ability cannot match how good he is at actually winning aerial duels. He seems to get chances from corners every week, but so few are on target.

He performed badly at the start of the season when clearly there were a lot of things affecting him at the time. People like yourself chose to ignore those circumstances. Since then he has recovered his form. You carry on though.

Capitan colossal
I just reread this. Out of interest how does he have 100% tackles won when he gave a away a free kick for a foul on Jesus and got booked. Is that not counted as a tackle?
