If we don’t win by at least 7 goals today he has to go. He’s been in charge for over 2 years, no excuses now.

I get the warm fuzzies with all these commentators and pundits saying how exciting we are to watch, that’s part of what Manchester United are about. It’s a refreshing change from the boring systematic football which is all the rage right now IMO.

Today's performance was a writeoff anyway because I have sympathy for any manager who faces a fecking 1230 kick off on boxing day.

But a 5 year old can probably tell you starting Dan James just hands control to the opposition.

Yet another poorly managed game.

Wish we had never hired Ole.
Any other name and people would not be accepting this brand of football/management.

Exciting because we can't keep a clean sheet. Guaranteed to concede every game

Why did he decide on playing with ten men against this Leicester side? James may as well have been playing for the opposition.

Load of rubbish today. Still what do you expect when your attack has no investment. Cant compete of the back of 200mil on first team players and crap left over from previous managers.

And guaranteed to score.
We should with the quality of players that we have at our disposal. We should also be able to see out games better than what we have in the league when that defence coat over 200 million

Four points behind first with same number of games played. Can guarantee nobody would have predicted that at this stage of the season after our transfers in the summer.

Wasn’t he starting to provide pace cover for Lindelof at RB?
If that was the logic, we didn't see it on the pitch. It was clearly a silly mistake to start him and again, you don't need hinsight to say it either.

The good with Ole outweighs the bad right now, obviously.

But, he needs to cut out the amateur shit and trying to tinker too much for the kick of it.

If either our Defenders or Attackers done their job, we would have won the Leicester game comfortably. Leicester don't even deserve the draw.

We should be able to score basic 1v1s with the keeper. That was the problem today and we were comfortably the better team.

Agreed. Might as well have started Lingard. James seems to run into spaces without really knowing what should happen next. A very one-dimensional player who without his pace, would be playing in the Championship. He has no positional sense in tracking back.

I’d be shocked if he isn’t sold or loaned out next season.

I'm almost certain this thread would not exist if our strikers were the slightest bit clinical in front of goal. We'd be top of the league right now anyway.

Criminal.

Performed well when being underdog, just crumbled under any slight expectation.

Nobody has said this. Feel free to quote these posts. I won't hold my breath.
well the narrative has shifted from the receuitment has been poor for years to 'well of course ole is competing for the league with the players he has !!!'

it is embarrassing the lengths people will go to not to look stupid (making them look fairly stupid in the process)

None of our starting players have ever scored 20 league goals in a season. Its not a surprise Rashford and Martial miss week after week.

I know people are going to be all emotional blah blah, but there’s a real side in there! You can see it, and Ole is the one creating it, we deserved the win today and ultimately you don’t win every football game, win the next two and things are rosier.

Still disappointed though.

Yep. And made all the more brilliant given the unavoidable start to the season. Am very happy with our progress.

We are looking better and more stable but I still feel he is out of his depth and sooner than later it will cost us. We"ll see.
The way we dropped out of CL, the way we fail to win games like the one vs Leicester, you just see he isnt top notch.
Its games like those where you need a top manager if you wanna be a great team.
Otherwise we will always fall short. Vs Sevilla. Vs Istanbul. Now vs Leicester. Those are the games that define your season.

Maybe he will stop fecking about with Dan James and make his subs earlier. We are winning no trophies as I team, I would put all my money on it.

Top four he keeps his job, 5th or below he should be out.

Hopefully he can get a CB in Jan because our defence and especially our Captain are shite.

This. You can see the pain in Ole’s eyes every time they waste another gilt edged chance. You can see him seething on the inside.

Wish we had a prime Ole in the forward line tbh.

Would love to have a manager who can set his team up to be on the front foot and control games. Particularly when we have the players to do so. This reactive, counter attacking style of play will leave us with top 4 aspirations every season due to the quality of our players, but nothing beyond that IMO.
