Hope all those ebay bastards are left with consoles they now struggle to shift.

Good solid game. Nothing amazing about it as others have said. I’ve not played AC for years (apart from a few hours of Origins) otherwise might be fed up with it quickly. Is Valhalla worth it at 40 quid?
Yeah I've only played the first one which is why the repitition of previous games might not apply to meGood solid game. Nothing amazing about it as others have said. I’ve not played AC for years (apart from a few hours of Origins) otherwise might be fed up with it quickly.
Do you have one yet?Is the headset ever going to come back in stock regularly?
I don't understand how it's as scarce as the console
Nope. Guess I have that to look forward tohave You completed it yet? My neighbour says there is a bug late on that means until there’s a patch he can’t complete it.
Yeah I've got one, I preordered two and gave the other to my brother.Do you have one yet?
Seems way overpriced compared to other manufacturers'. Does it do anthing unique?Yeah I've got one, I preordered two and gave the other to my brother.
It's the bloody headset that I need now
I wouldn't say it's overpriced, the RRP is 90quid, and has the PS 3D sound thing. The other headphones that offer the same features are similarly priced or more expensive.Seems way overpriced compared to other manufacturers'. Does it do anthing unique?
That's fair enough I was just wondering what it had over say a £40 headset.I wouldn't say it's overpriced, the RRP is 90quid, and has the PS 3D sound thing. The other headphones that offer the same features are similarly priced or more expensive.
I prefer this one because it looks the prettiest out of the rest
The 3d audio is created on the console, not the headphones. Any semi decent pair will offer the same audio experience as the Pulse. I got some Senheisser ones and they're brilliant.I wouldn't say it's overpriced, the RRP is 90quid, and has the PS 3D sound thing. This is always a typical theme for me with the newer AC series. Interesting for a period, boredom strikes in (realise the game is just a rehash of the same actions) stops playing, traded in and done.Good solid game. Nothing amazing about it as others have said. Got the headset it's 3d sound is actually quite immersive. I thought it was a marketing gimmick but there's been a few times it's caught me off guard with the depth of some of the sounds, it creates a real atmosphere to some of the games. I have no experience using surround headphones as typically I favour low bass frequencies and trebles but it's worth it for what you get.Seems way overpriced compared to other manufacturers'. Does it do anthing unique?
If your in the UK Argos have had an abundance of stock via their click and collect options on the website. Obviously it's only a useful option if you can drive but I've seen countless stock at varying locations throughout the last week.Is the headset ever going to come back in stock regularly?

I got hold of the pulse headset finally, nothing special and a bit flimsy if you already have a decent wireless headset don't bother.
Its an okay price for wireless but they do not offer anything unique. I have a £25 pair of wired headphones that have the surround sound 4.1 or whatever and they are pretty amazing. I've been looking at the pulse ones but I don't think they would be the comfiest to wear over 2-3 hours.I wouldn't say it's overpriced, the RRP is 90quid, and has the PS 3D sound thing. Definitely how I felt about Odyssey. Interesting for a few hours and then just felt like a vast emptiness of time consuming filler. This is always a typical theme for me with the newer AC series. Interesting for a period, boredom strikes in (realise the game is just a rehash of the same actions) stops playing, traded in and done.
Pretty much every Ubisoft game of the last 5 years then. This is always a typical theme for me with the newer AC series. Interesting for a period, boredom strikes in (realise the game is just a rehash of the same actions) stops playing, traded in and done.
Yeah I can imagine this AC game is very similar to the others so it’s easy to get bored. I didn’t play the last 2 though so im really enjoying it. Also with the 60 fps option it’s really smooth and looks great, I’m loving it tbh. This is always a typical theme for me with the newer AC series. Yeah, I thought even Black Flag (the last one I played properly before this) was overrated, and although great fun for a bit, could be so much better if they just wanted to make a great game rather than a solid one. This is always a typical theme for me with the newer AC series. Interesting for a period, boredom strikes in (realise the game is just a rehash of the same actions) stops playing, traded in and done.
Ghost is an absolutely amazing game with an incredibly beautiful setting and really satisfying combat.I haven't played it yet (was waiting to play it on the PS5 with the upgrades) but Ghosts of Tsushima apparently does everything better than any of the AC games that have come out recently.
I go to say, for all the new AAA games out, I'm having more fun with Astro's Playroom at the moment! It's just a really fun game, and the speed runs are quite addictive, too. You can literally open up one of the speed run rooms from the PS5 dashboards and you're playing it in a matter of seconds.
I picked up 2k20 when it was on sale last year and played quite a bit through lockdown, so I'm fairly new to the series, but I definitely went through a similar steep learning curve. For Christmas I got Miles Morales which is fantastic so far, Demon Souls- beat this 9 years ago so haven’t started it up yet and NBA 2K21- thought this would be easy going but actually dividing it really tough, especially defensively, any tips/entire guide to not sucking without the ball would be much appreciated.
Help me understand why Ghost is an amazing game? For me its quite like AC with a touch better combat. ITs still just riding around to rather uninspiring quests or tasks in a extremely beautiful settingGhost is an absolutely amazing game with an incredibly beautiful setting and really satisfying combat.
Essential to anyone with a new PS5 who hasn’t played yet.
Cheers, I have tried to implement these techniques over last few days and have found they have helped a lot though have had to meddle considerably with scalers to get to a point where I’m comfortable. The triangle and square buttons for jumping and stealing feel a little useless at my level and only really come into effect if you start to have a mastery of the game. But as you say, using L2/R2 is usually enough to frustrate enough attacks for you to get a lead.I picked up 2k20 when it was on sale last year and played quite a bit through lockdown, so I'm fairly new to the series, but I definitely went through a similar steep learning curve.
In terms of defending, I think it's best to keep it simple. I presume you have the indicator switched on which shows you which player to cover? If so, use a combination of L2 and R2 to stay close to that player, but always try to stay 'goal side' of them. You can also hold the right stick up whilst doing that, which will make your defender raise his hands. The combination of L2, R2 and right stick is often sufficient to slow the attacking team down and force them into taking a difficult shot.
Once you're comfortable with that, you can also use triangle to jump/block when the attacker gets near the basket. However, try not to get frustrated when you concede even after doing everything correctly because good players will often score anyway - plus, you only need to prevent a few of the opposition's attacks to gain the lead in a match.
Also, I almost never attempt to steal the ball because it results in a foul most of the time. However, occasionally the L2/R2 combination puts the attacker under enough pressure so that they drop the ball and you can grab it then.
@Pexbo is a god amongst men.I am sorry, but I have to laugh at this again.
PEXBO!!!!
From what I've been reading, a lot of stores are just saying 2021. Game said at the end of January they should have some. All other retailers are quite vague. Your best bet is to keep checking this site periodically: https://www.stockinformer.co.ukDoes anyone have any info on stock and when one might expect stock to be more readily available? I’m sort of expecting Feb/March but thought I’d ask.
It’s really not an amazing game. The combat is better than anything an Assisinas Creed game has managed and that alone can keep you pretty hooked for a while. The story, characters, missions, loot and general atmosphere are all better in AC Valhalla. The world in Ghosts can be stunning but it all looks pretty much the same, I’d probably prefer the world in AC to be honest. The biggest issue with the most recent AC games is the size of the world and the amount of repetition, if they cut the map size down by half they would be into a winner.Help me understand why Ghost is an amazing game? Not had that issue, I've had problems with the internet dropping out when using rest mode, but that's about it. Obvious crashes on Cyberpunk aside.Anyone had the issue of turning the PS5 on and it producing no sound? As in no menu sound, no game sound, nothing. Restart fixes it but it’s happening to me 1 every 2 or 3 times I turn it on now..?

Personally I find this to be an issue with every AC game. And, to be honest, most Ubisoft games. A lot (not all) of their games are incredibly formulaic, cluttered with side quests and icons covering every square inch of the map. It's all very cookie-cutter, by the numbers game design. At least their open-world games, anyway. I just stopped playing them after a while because of this. Once you've played one, you've played them all type of thing. Although you could probably say that for a lot of open-world games I suppose. It’s really not an amazing game. Yeah, I think it's a great game and the career mode really makes FIFA look pathetic in terms of customisation, stats etc. This year, I haven't bought FIFA for the first time in ages and I'm not missing it at all.Cheers, I have tried to implement these techniques over last few days and have found they have helped a lot though have had to meddle considerably with scalers to get to a point where I’m comfortable. Really fun game though. I didn’t really follow basketball but have started to get into it a bit.
Yeh I don’t disagree. One thing I will say about AC Valhalla is they have done away with the normal side quests that plagued Odyssey and replaced them with world events, they don’t feel anywhere near as repetitive compared to the usual boring fetch quests of Odyssey and Origins. That’s a massive Improvement and goes someway to replicating the way the Witcher or Skyrim handle quests.Personally I find this to be an issue with every AC game.
