What people need to realise is that no player is consistent in terms of every week. Bruno who is the poster boy for the club currently has had god knows how many stinkers this season. It’s about other players coming to the fore at different times. We can only hope two or three of our strikers hit form at the same time.

That's the type of performance we wanted to see from Pogba, more of the same please in the weeks and months ahead.

Great performance, showing his incredible ability. But errr in regards to being our best player, Bruno is by far ahead of everyone else.
Bruno has the team set up to showcase his game most of the time. When both him and Pogba are in the side, his attacking output really drops off and he doesn’t do half of what Pogba does defensively. Pogba is in the unenviable position of basically having a higher expectation than almost any other midfielder in the world.

Hell of a performance, in the best vein of form since that initial spell when Solskjær was caretaker.
Well since Ole has come he’s had that spell, a spell of unanimously agreed quality form after lockdown and has been quality for the last 6 weeks or so. And around that period, he’s missed a lot of football with injury.

Since he joined United, he’s always 3 poor performances from having the whole season declared poor.

Like a new signing this last month. This is what we thought we had bought all those years ago. Looked like an adult playing against a load of kids tonight. Let’s just hope we get the best out of him for the rest of the season. Some talent when he’s on

Well done, Paul Pogba! A great display. I can't remember seeing a better all-round performance from him and he thoroughly deserved MOTM.
I have criticised his attitude previously and advocated selling him, but if I knew he was going to play like this consistently, I would not want to see him leave us.
If he maintains this form, we will be in the mix at the business end of the season.
We just need to see the forwards getting their act together now.

When he shows his physicality along with his technical ability it’s a joy to watch. He just seemed to go to war didn’t shirk anything and un like him did fantastic in his defensive duties. This is the Pogba I want to see more often.

Inventive, composed and scored a cracker, plus his defensive workrate, especially in his aerial duels, was superb.

When he has a target that excites him, it makes him focused and makes him a lethal player.

I guess the focus is getting to top of the league and also playing to be in the shop window, sadly.

He looks happy playing here and it's not just playing for a transfer.

You can see it with the smiles on his face and stuff in my opinion, that might change sure - but it's either he wants to leave on a high by winning the title, or stay and win more titles with United type of attitude from him which I feel that Ole had bought out of him due to his fantastic man management.

Fantastic performance. He's hard to keep out of the team in this form. Needs to continue this on Sunday.

Very strong all round midfield performance, that’s what is expected of a world champion.

If Paul continues like that, we’d rather extend his contract and enjoy a few more years of a high calibre midfield master

Games like that make you wonder why he hasn't been capable of playing like that for the last 4 years

Turns it on when he feels like it but hey if it results in a title and he leaves I'll be the first to say thanks and good luck back at Juventus (or wherever he goes)

Brilliant tonight, utterly brilliant

Great player, mental that people want rid of him.

Consistency is key now, we need to keep playing him and use him to help keep this momentum.

To have both Bruno and Pogba on the pitch is a huge bonus as they are both incredibly creative.

Very good today. A bit of a kick in the teeth that he probably won't be played in the next game. Hopefully he doesn't lose any motivation because he could potentially be important for the rest of the season.

One of his best ever performances for us. These are the games for the big players to show, it's alright doing it when your 20+ points behind the leaders and you have a bit of freedom to win games but when the pressure is on, the winners come out and he showed that tonight.

I'll never criticise him because he wants United to be a winning team again, like what Rooney did handing in a transfer request, he's a winner and let's be honest this club hasn't been a winning club for 8 years. Maybe now we are and he's flourishing with that pressure

Why won’t he play?? He’s been our best player for weeks he must start at Anfield.

Looking over my shoulder.
I’m sometimes, well quite often, critical towards this guy, but what a performance. Even exclusing his goal, which was so well executed, he was brilliant and vital to our performance. Great vision, passing, but what impressed me the most was his defensive contribution. Please keep this up!

I’d play him off the left on Sunday. Playing too well to be dropped, but wouldn’t trust him in a 2 man pivot away to them lot.

McFred in Midfield. Will need their energy.

Marcus from the right...

Toss up between Cavani and Martial through the middle.

To be fair, he’s been very poor at times, and his agents’ behaviour means it isn’t at all surprising some people want him to be gone

if martial has an injury, I think he’s in.

Cavani,
Bruno,
Pogba, McT, Fred, Rashford

that’s plausible. If we play a front three (Martial, Cavani, Rashford), then I don’t think he makes it.

Do you think Ole has said give me everything you've got between now and the end of season and you can go?

Pogba playing near the levels he did when Jose left which is great news if it continues.

Precisely. You will have posters on here claiming that he has not had a single good season at Utd.

Drop Cavani play him on the left. I reckon that works. Telles on the left too would have been perfect.

Have you noticed anything about how the team is playing now and how we’ve played for the last 4 years?

Players will always struggle to play consistently well in a poor team. Pogba hasn’t always played well, but it’s almost difficult to play poorly when your team isn’t. He’s contributed his own share of that, but it is to be taken in context. We’ve been a poor side, we’ve had very few standout performers in that period.

Head and shoulders the best player on the pitch tonight. Really drove us on in the second half. You’d think that’s played him into the starting line up at Anfield but I can’t see Ole dropping McFred so maybe he’ll be used to the left given Martial’s poor form and possible injury.

I think that’s overstated, he seems to love his teammates and vice versa and he loves football.

I think he just wants to enjoy himself, and if he isn’t, he’d consider moving on. He’s certainly the type that will always keep his options open. But “playing for a move”, I call bollocks on that.

If he can help bring us a league title then all the shit talk is forgiven and I will wish him the very best in his future endeavors this summer.

I'm not saying that I don't think he's had good spells, just that I think this is his best one. I've said many times I thought he was out best player, up until Fernades joined at least.

Rounding into form at the right moment and balances out an ineffective Bruno. He's shown a lot of fight and effort recently, which bodes well for him and the team.

Are we playing that well though? None of the first choice front 3 have been at it all season, Bruno hasn't been great in this period either

Nah sorry I'm not having that, Pogba's decided to turn it on ever since his agents comments it's got nothing to do with the form of the other players

He just went into beast mode tonight. There were a few instances he just drove through the middle of the pitch leaving two or three Burnley players in his wake.

I've said before that Bruno, Rashford and Maguire are our most important players. If he keeps up this level of performance then he slots right in that category, and becomes undroppable.
