This is why he doesn't like to make changes. His biggest mistake today was bending over to the caf and making that unnecessary late sub
The late sub was fine. Bring on your 6ft 4, 32 year old, brick shit house of a centre-midfielder though who will help you keep hold of the ball, and is significantly better in the air.

Why on earth you’d bring on Tuanzebe, again, to feck up, again, is utterly beyond me.

Elite substitution… Why invite pressure by bringing another defender on (especially a player as out of his depth as Tuanzebe) and taking off Greenwood who was playing very well and retaining possession?

Ironically I’d argue the ‘attacking patterns’ lads probably have the least to complain about tonight.

Wtf

He made a sub because the Caf told him to.
Rob. I never read the match day thread today. But I can only imagine the shouts for a sub, and we didn’t need one. We where in control.. The sub was tactical time wasting, and we lost because of it.. That said. Anyone coming after Ole after this should take up following another sport..

Ole still has some more crucial decisions to make if we're going to genuinely challenge for major trophies. You can't keep conceding silly goals like tonight and others this season if you want to be taken seriously.

It is really time to get a new manager soon.

I am sick how we manage to mess things up when we have a chance to do something good all the time.

Now the league is over and all focus on the cups, but with little hope to win them.

Why he went for Axel and not Matic I'll never know. Bizarre decision.

Still the bigger problem is why our team can't ever seem to effectively manage injury time well.

And our goalkeeper... Definitely our goalkeeper

Why the feck did he leave all the subs to just waste time in added minutes ?

His subs management is really godawful. He doesn't know how to do them properly. He has improved his coaching and management a lot since his early tenure here but his subs and their timing are still absolutely crap.

He made the same sub when 3-2 up against Sheffield United last season and we shortly conceded.

Ha ha ha. You are a truly awful poster.

sub was fine, Matic better but so what. His biggest feck has been keeping faith in DDG for 2
years too long, but with that contract, what can you do? :(

He was actually right to not make subs up until he actually did. Tuanzebe has been a disaster bar one game. All it does is ruin your own shape and add more time on.

Eh? I was taking the piss. As in, Ole hardly reads the Caf and makes decisions from it ffs

Just an odd way to phrase it.

Agreed, he had Matic there then opted for Tuanzebe who shits himself whenever he plays.

Today is not on him at all. Not even a little bit. I see complaints about bringing on Tuanzebe but the whole point was to deal with Evertons late aerial bombardment. It isn’t Oles fault his defenders and goalkeepers decided to act like a bunch of arseholes. Literally every goal was a clanger from our centre backs and keeper that was more easy to avoid.

We were miles the better side, it’s the first time in a while I thought we’d got it all under control and were managing the game effectively. Everton got the rub of the green aided by DDG, the result wasn’t representative of the game and we didn’t deserve to drop points.

No complaints from me, on to the next game.

I don’t have an issue with any way that we played, except the fact that having two absolute cowards in front of a cowardly keeper is how you end up conceding soft goals like we did. Bailly not starting when fit after dominating his run in the team is unacceptable and fully on Ole’s shoulders. And I don’t want to hear shit about how he has a mistake in him after watching Maguire and Lindelof make a mess of things time and again.

Should be gone after today. Aimless, pointless and if he wasn't so obviously wearing a coat, shirtless.

Send him, De Gea and the rest of the usual scapegoats on a one way ticket to the Andromeda Galaxy.

I'm still yet to see a performance where we are solid on both ends of the pitch. Even against 10 men Southampton we managed to concede a couple clear cut chances. We cannot defend set pieces and it's mostly coaching issue.

Thought we played decent tonight and couldn’t believe it was 3-2 when it felt more comfortable. Why bring Tuanzebe on when we’re still keeping the ball, just invites pressure? Obviously, he lunges straight in and our defence bottles the game on the last kick. The 4 mins injury time has to make you laugh after the 3 we got midweek with all the VAR stoppages. Absolutely gutted tonight.

I don't think he's good enough and believe this team can go up a level with a superior manager, that being said, today wasn't on him. Players make mistakes, but you just cannot switch off in the last kick of the game.

Also his insistence on playing Lindelof has arguably cost him the title. Having favourites doesn't work when they're average as feck.

I've been critical of the type of football at times with Ole but I thought the shape and the movement was actually really really good today. Best I've seen in a very long time in terms of ball possession and movement and technique. It wasn't just a counter attack blitz, there was lots of variety in our play which I really liked.

Freak result though. Just, can't believe it. No blame on Ole whatsoever, that's on the defence.

He did nothing wrong today, the team was set up well and played well. Aside from our gutless centre backs and goalkeeper, the whole team was comfortable. This wqs actually one of the few times where subs weren't really needed as well.

Honestly wonder what some people on here think is the point of having a manager at all. Seems like it's just to throw 11 names no the team sheet and get praised when you win, and never get any blame when you lose. Hell I could do that. Call me up Woody!

Players made individual mistakes of course but for example Everton's 2nd goal is a carbon copy of Sheffield's goal against us. Insane amount of space in our box 30 yard area yet again, we see it time and time again.

Not sure how people can blame Ole today.

We played brilliant attacking football, and it was down to individual feck ups at the back for all of Everton's goals. Can't legislate that, and there's no other back 4 we can play better than that currently.

We need to practice defending set-pieces though, we look like conceding every time.

His dithering in DDG has cost him again. It’s his third season now and he still hasn’t dropped DDG even though we had Romero and now Henderson as backups.

Have some cojones and drop him ffs, his performances are atrocious. The stats have him as one of the worst GKs in the league since last season and we still persist.

At times we're incapable in closing out games with him.
I mean, statistically we totally dominated and should have won. Not sure what more he can do when DDG constantly makes mistakes and our CB's aren't up to it.

Axel on instead of Matic was odd but feck it, it should have been a comfortable win. The problem is, teams don't need many chances to score against us. Everton had 3 shots on target tonight and scored 3. That's blatantly not good enough. I shit myself anytime teams get near our box and it's something Ole needs to shore up because we ain't getting anyone in until the summer at best.

I have mixed feelings, as we can see what he's building. The team's patterns are improving and his squad replenishment has been better than any since Fergie. We're right to do it by 2-3 players a year, rather than in bulk like Chelsea have, but it was always going to be a slow process because we were so far off.

That said, his game management skills are awful though and once the opposition figure us out he's slow to react.

But on the flip side, we have made so many basic individual errors costing us goals (which is something we've suffered with from before Ole) that he can't account for and must be pulling his hair out. Based on previous we're likely to see the losers identified and moved on (if the club can find buyers - another area that he's been let down by) when he's gotten better options.

It depends if the club go out and get the standard of player required, until that point the weak links have to play because we don't have anyone better.

Henderson is even worse.
