This might have changed Ole's mind regarding transfers in the summer or he has to get a coach in to actually coach that defence.
Two senior players who should know better. A CB and a keeper both with awful errors. How can you let a side have 3 shots on target and let them score when we’ve dominated the game?
Tbf, we should have scored 4 but bad misses from Rashford... has to be said

How we dropped points in that game is criminal. Slight pressure on that defence and we crumble

Horrible. Such a good performance completely ruined by what, 5 minutes of losing the plot. What is wrong with us, why do we have these moments of shitting the bed.

Need to see the goals again, but I didn't see Lindlehof put a foot wrong.

DDG is just feeble, like he always is, for their 1st and 3rd.

Their 2nd was similar to Sheffield United in that it was several mistakes by different 0layera.

Anyone blaming Ole for tonight is having a laugh
He shares about 5% of the blame for the Tuanzebe sub. It's a bit harsh, sure, because obviously he didn't tell Tuanzebe to be stupid - but it wasn't exactly unexpected. Axel has a tendency to do these rash things.

I know the defenders are going to get all of the blame and rightly so. But again, Rashford had chances to put the game to bed, very good chances as well. We are never going to challenge for the title when Pogba Bruno and Mctominay or our main source of goals.

I dont like David De Gea. Can we give Hendo a run ffs.
De Gea is always the easy person to blame, the first goal we conceded was down to our inability to press well, Davis was under no pressure when he receives the ball, Scott and Fred are to far back and its easy for Everton after that. Harry, who was shit the whole game, was also beaten too easily before it gets to De Gea, who has to parry that ball as he isn't sure what's behind him, Shaw has to give him the call to let it run.
The whole team is to blame for that, Ole included, his passiveness during the matches doesn't help. This summer, a CB is needed as Maguire is a lability.

Pfffft. That was a kick in the teeth. By far the better team, all round. Our defence was pants, we're playing against an at-least top 8 team, and their defence was pants as well.

That's by the by. I really rate Lindelof. In that centre back pairing my issue is with Maguire. I think Lindelof and Bailly is our best centre back pairing. That being said, we need a defensive minded midfielder. Fred is box to box, and I really like him. McT is the same. I really think we need to go into a cup game playing Lindelof as the defensive midfielder. Try it. He's good on the ball, good passer. I think that slight step forward up the field would be worth a go, it might save us £60m

Said this in the match day thread. But the defensive line for the 3rd goal is way too low. What happened is exactly what Everton wanted to happen. I crumb around the 6 yard line.

we should’ve pushed up 5m more so that any second ball is a shot from 18 with our defenders pressuring. And if the get a clean win on the first ball well it’s from distance

I just dont get how the team can go from fantastic defensively last season to sheer disgrace this.
We were never fantastic defensively last season. We had a good run after Bruno signed but before that we were conceding quite a lot.

Three goals should have been enough. Two up and half time should have been enough. Everton are good, they should have just kept it tight for 15 minutes or so. DDG is a big worry now.

Where the grass is greener.
I don't want to watch the highlights because we wasted plenty of chances to put it to bed. But I can't blame the attack really, we scored three goals, Everton weren't good, and come away with a 3-3 draw.

I'll say the same as I did after the 6-1 defeat against Spurs, the 2-1 defeat against Sheffield United, and the 9-0 win over Southampton. In fact, I'll just fecking quote myself.

United are a good-but-limited side with a good-but-limited manager. This has always been true and it will always be true. It doesn't mean you can't win the league this season, it doesn't mean you will win the league this season. ... But this last week should be proof that trying to read into United's performances at the moment is a pointless exercise. Beat Liverpool, lose to the worst PL team in living memory, then go and batter Southampton 9-0. Think United have to be careful to enjoy this kind of scoreline without focusing on it too much - it'll likely galvanize you but it could just as easily go to your heads. There's a long way to go yet, and all teams are due another sticky patch I'm sure.

With how fiery Bruno is I'm wondering if he's had words with DDG et al? I'd be so pissed at the defence :)

Shite defending, coward goal keeping, set pieces. All fecking avoidable.

No matter how hard our forwards try and score goals, it gets negated by the idiots at the back. Its demoralising to the players putting in the hard work.

Incredible how a game of football can ruin your mood completely. Calvert Lewin’s goal celebration will hunt me for some time.

Defence wins you titles. Liverpool got Van Dijk, City will definitely win it with Dias, and we started winning titles again when Vidic was a definite starter alongside Ferdinand. The only defender we have that I can see playing in title-winning team is Luke Shaw.

Our pressing, retention and transition in the first half was world class! It was so god! I don’t know what hit is second half, but that first goal was 100% on Ddg.. No way should he block that back into play.
Wan Bissaka need to sit down and study the offside line! This is the third game in a row he fecked that up.
I think Ollie made the wrong subs tonight.VVB should come on for Pogba, and I know it was a late time wasting sub on Axel. And I know it was for his duel ability. But that sub should have been Matic. Calm the game down.. Disappointed with the draw. But we played some good stuff at times. On to the next one!

I am. He could have made attacking subs long back and tried to get 4th or 5th. Instead he sat there and waited and waited and then threw in a defender in last minutes, expecting something magical.

Ole is of course not the only reason we did not win today, but he had a very solid part in the fiasco.
We were dominating anyway to get the 4th and should have.
expecting something magical what? To just defend? Same old stuff making no sense trotted out

This wont happen, but I would hope the manager gets rid of Jones, Tuanzebe, Injury prone and useless at this level. Lindelof too slow and cowardly and Bailley who is injury prone and bring in 2 top class CD in the summer. Promote our next big thing from the youth. Otherwise this will hppen again and again. We ought to start looking at goalkeepers as well as De Gea isnt aging very well and not sure Henderson is the answer to replace him if we want to battle for the title next season.
Ironically Axel was meant to be our next big thing from the youth. Just shows eh? No idea why Jones is brought up. He has hardly cost us points. It’s our captain and keeper.

Defence needs sorting or forget titles.

The attackers were good bar Rash wasting opportunities. It was still more than good enough to win. It's the other end of the pitch that was the problem...:(

Let down by the defence big time.

Lindelof allowing Maguire to be exposed for pace against DCL for the first goal.

Both Lindelof and Maguire poor in that last goal - Maguire nowhere near the action and the main goal threat DCL, who Lindelof lost.

De Gea what was that parry to Doucoure.

Ole has to take a large part of the blame as well though. We lacked creativity after Pogba went off (goals after he went off were a moment of magic from Bruno and set-piece goal from Scott Too Hotty aside)

How did Ole leave Rashford on for the whole game? How many chances is Rashford allowed to feck up before Martial gets a chance??

And making the sub that late on. Absolutely ridiculous. And if you are going to do that and add more time on to the injury time - why put on a defender and invite pressure. Why not Matic or VdB, congest the midfield, make us more robust in the middle of the pitch for the last 10 minutes not 10 seconds!!

Tuanzebe is a liability I agree but we done more than enough to win that game with the way we set up and played

What the feck are you talking about. We absolutely hammered Everton but gave away cheap goals. Our defense has to be improve but so did yours last season. That didn't make you a "limited side". All teams need improvements in some areas of the pitch.

Just needed to keep the ball in stoppage time but stupidly gave away a free kick, brutal truth is teams that want to at least contend for the league don't throw away 2-0 and 3-2 leads they see it out.

I’m gutted tonight. We played so well forwards were very good, Neville hit the nail on the head - we looked balanced. Less said about the defending the better. Bar the James goal the other two were terrible. De Gea needs to throw his body at Calvert Lewin and his parry for the first goal was terrible. He’s not good enough and hasn’t been for about 4 years!
In terms of the title it’s an uphill battle from here.
We just have to hope that City drop points in their next run of fixtures: Liverpool, Spurs, Everton, Arsenal & West Ham before we go to the Etihad. If we’re in the race going to the Etihad I’ll be happy.
Tonight will take a while to get over
