Against West Ham a few days ago? Yes, he was absolutely fine. Significantly better in the air, too.

Whether he’s good enough in the long term is something we don’t yet know; we do know, however, that De Gea practically chucks the ball into the net every fortnight. What are we waiting for if not now?
Yeah I'd probably replace DDG with Henderson for now, but I don't think he's the long term solution either. Really would like to see us get a more aggressive keeper that sweeps/distributes at a higher level. DDG is very passive commanding his box and Henderson shits himself on the ball and is too comfortable just hoofing it.

Sure, we were on top for a while so it was in our hands. However, it doesn't seem like such a good chance to win the EPL considering City current level, so it kind of feels better. I don't have that feeling that "we bottled it", we're just not there yet.
Only frustrating thing is we will never know how they would have responded if we could have taken say 8/12 rather than the 3/12 we got

Hope we don’t mess with the back four too much. One rotational change will be fine, but not two (like vs Sheffield).

I was referring to his last league game when he made a howler early doors that cost us the game. He was decent enough against West Ham midweek, sure, but he was barely tested to be fair.

I wouldn't be opposed to Henderson starting tomorrow, but that's more down to having zero faith in DDG than anything else. Where's Mr Reliable Romero these days? He always seemed to perform when called upon.
Mr Reliable? Where dyou get that from? Don't ever remember a blunder from him but according to all Dave’s relatives, he’s not fit to grace the shirt unlike their hero who mustve cost us 20 points over the past couple of years, at least.
As for Hendo; nah, couldve done better last time out but can’t chuck em into his own net like Dave. Doesn’t deserve a go. Stick with Dave and Big Sam and Brom will be laughing their Bollox off, just like Everton, again.

    There's only one United!
WBA have the worse defence in the PL - they let in 54 goals.
They only scored 18 goals and they only won 2 games.

This is a MUST win game.

I'm confident. We won't rotate in the way we did which threw us off against Sheffield (in addition to the ref essentially changing the score from 1-0 to us to 1-0 to them).

Would like to see a really emphatic scoreline, but against Big Sam I'm expecting more of a comfortable one, maybe 2-0 or 3-1 to us.

Bailly must start. He always hits the ground running after an injury lay-off and he's the physical specimen we need.

Very true but we only have ourselves to blame for losing that momentum built up from Nov-Jan by dropping points to the scousers, Arsenal, Everton and that shocker against Sheff Utd
Sheffield Utd and Everton were the games tbf.

Away to Liverpool and Arsenal....those things happen. We threw the other two games away

    De Gea starting apparently.

I hate when players continue to get preferential treatment in name and their past.
Players get worse, Sometimes it's time to accept it.

Anyway hopefully he plays well and doesn't get bullied today. His inability to come for a corners is a major reason we can't defend them. Well that and zonal marking.

If we play like we did vs Southampton and Everton we should score plenty and surely can't have a defensive performance as bad as Everton game

Usually these threads are filled with starting XI suggestions in the hours before kick-off. Not today though. Find that interesting, not sure why.

United rarely make an easy watch for supporters, unpredicatable and always seem to have a mistake that either costs us a comfortable win or results in a frustrating draw.

You look at that table now and it makes you realise how big a feck up dropping points to SU and Everton was.

We have to win today. Absolutely no excuses.

I'll be really disappointed with Ole if De Gea starts today. Will be his first big misstep since leaving Fred on the field in that PSG game.

Would people be okay with Henderson starting today and DDG getting the EL games? Effectively switching their roles.

9 points dropped against wankish Liverpool, Arsenal and really bad SU side topped with criminal Everton game.
We’d be top if we had won all of those. It’s massively unprofessional the way these minor sides play their cup final against us but literally bend over until their perpendicular against city

Apparently Martial starting over Greenwood which is really frustrating too
Yeah I'd be disappointed if that's true. Rumoured team is more than good enough to get the job done, but I think Greenwood deserves the start.

So that'll be Rashford shoved over to the RW won't it, just a frustrating use of his talent.
