If we sign him then City and Liverpool can't sign him. Even if he left a few years later, that'd do.

This is where our attitude is wrong.

As long as we are ambitious and progress and start winning titles etc it is unlikely to be a stepping stone.

If we don't sure he'll want to leave after a few seasons.

But you know what if you have that attitude to every top player no one will want to join and you'll never compete.
Its got nothing to do with my attitude or more importantly the club!

Ronaldo is a prime example. He always dreamt of playing for Madrid. United was a mutually successful stepping stone to that dream.

I'm not doubting he couldn't have a successful 3-4 seasons at the club, but I don't see him as someone who is going to come in and settle here for the best part of his career, that is unless we start dominating in Europe, something we failed to achieve even in Fergie's era..

Maybe he would maybe he wouldn't but would be better to have him and win than never have him.

Should take a note out of City's book. Not a single player has used them as a stepping stone since they became good so it's clearly doable.

I can see a few big clubs putting up €120mil+ and letting Dortmund keep him on loan for 1 more season.

Dortmund get to keep him for another year and dont have to take the low buyout clause.
Sorry mate, but that's the funniest thing I've read for long time. In this COVID situation when even the big clubs are skinned...Barca can't even pay wages. So a club will spend €120mil and let him at Dortmund next season.

Can't spell Mkhitaryan
There was a story during the week, no idea if true, that he's ruled out Chelsea and would only consider city, united, Liverpool, Real, barca or Juve.

Since the Spanish and Italian teams would struggle to pay it, if he moves this summer I think it will only be city or us, with city the clear favourites

Yet a fresh story today saying Chelsea are not put off by the apparent snub.

I don't believe all I read though

And?

We said we'd never sell Real a virus. Alan Smith said he'd never join United, and on and on we go...

As if Bayern won't be in for him.
Would rather expect Bayern to act all holier than you when he moves to the PL because Mino wouldn't agree to Bayerns usual german league competitor discount conditions.

Bayern are good enough to not need him. We aren't even close to being good enough to avoid Raiola clients

Who's gonna pay 120m to convince Dortmund to sell now + the extra 30 million agent fee Raiola and his Dad will demand because they'll defo get that next Summer?

Seriously? 150m quid + 350k /week, you all think a club is gonna do that?

He plays like you're playing PES become a legend and have unlimited stamina.

He just sprints on every possible opportunity.

None of our feckers do that.
I try to conserve energy ffs. Didn’t know there was unlimited stamina.

Yep, someone will. Maybe not the numbers you’ve pulled out your arse but someone will put together an offer bigger than the rest and it will be enough.

Well it's what? 75m next year guaranteed.

How much do you think Dortmund would accept when they have a guaranteed 75 next Summer? And if your answer is 120, you don't think Raiola and his Dad would want that 45m instead by him just staying another year? A year that would guarantee him a full selection of top clubs rather than just 1 or 2 mega rich ones?

Dortmund will absolutely sell him in the summer for 100m. He will be 70m next summer. He is not going to get 350k/w anywhere.

He's ready to move for a bigger club. Not that Dortmund is a bad team, in fact it was a good move by him to ditch United and go to Dortmund which indicates he's prioritizing his development but I just believe he's that good he could already be leading the attack for a team like Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Juventus, etc.

In fact it would be nice if he could follow a smilar path to Cristiano Ronaldo and managed to win some major titles while in Germany before moving to the Spanish or English league, but even if Dortmund don't win shit everyone can notice his talent and hunger. I hope he wants to come to Real Madrid and he will be in a position to chose whatever team he wants once he decides is move on from Dortmund.

No agent makes 45 million unless they have agreed part of transfer fee like in Pogba's case.

Highest agent fee spent by clubs per year is around 22-23 million, which involves multiple transfers and contract extensions.
