Shaw really has turned into a top top full back!

I really thought he was done after all those major injuries but he's back and absolutely flying.
A goal against City is always a bonus

Loved every second of this match, screamed like a banshee when shaw scored, but not to put a downer on the resulst but its clear to me now that we can get a result against a team that attacks us. Coming into this us i tought we would get trashed but in the back of my head i tought this would be the game we would win. Against lower oppostion i think we should win but in the back of my head we will most likely lose and for the most part it has played out like this and will most likely play like this until the end of th season, we need to to have a different plan against teams that sit deep or we will always be the team that fights for top 4 and nothing more.

I didn’t see this coming. What a sublime performance. Consistency has been our biggest challenge though. Also I think we’ve found our new number one in goal.

This season has been a strange one. If only City could now go on a free-fall collapse like Liverpool.....

really pleased with that performance. Dont mind players proving me wrong and I have slaughtered Shaw in the past bur fair play to him for knuckling down and fair play to Ole for seeing a player in there. Has to be in consideration for an England recall?

Martial, one of his best games for months and when he came off he had that look on his face, knowing he had put in a proper shift. Also fair play to Dan James. Again he has more than his fare share of critics but he is playing with a little more confidence and dare I say Intelligence.

So today of all days they decide to roll City over...when I'm in hospital and can barely see out of my one half decent eye.

I'll take it

I’m supporter so I watch very game but I have to admit I was very nervous about this one. Delighted with this result.
I would love to believe that City’s future opponents analyse this game and learn how to take points off them. Who would have foreseen the free-fall that Loserfool are experiencing? Could City fall off the mountain too?

The funny thing is that most opponents how to play but don’t concentrate 100% on the strategy allowing them to be overwhelmed in the last 15 minutes. West Ham Wolves and Everton have come close to draws but City have just pulled away.
Utd executed the plan brilliantly today and with better finishing could have won more clinically.
The gap is too wide now and I think Chelsea apart they’ve played all the bigs

Yes. We won but we weren't "much better". Don't tell me you think the league table is lying?
Much better today and City dominating the league are two different case points. Their consistency will earn them the title but we just happened to play a great game and tactic today

Just shows they are not invincible. You wouldn't put it past Spurs doing a number on them. The CL will be interesting. There are some really good teams in that. Our media is sure they will sweep everything before them. Today they looked vulnerable.

I'm just not here for "much better". City still had several moments that needed a final touch to turn into a goal.

Should had bet on United but didn't want to jinx it. It's becoming hilarious how City always choke against United no matter how good they're playing with being favorites and everything.

Look I know that they are ahead right now but FFS let fans enjoy the win eh? Piss on someone else’s strawberries

It’s so weird. When we’re playing well & in good form they usually beat us. When we’re playing shit we always beat them.

They say form goes out the window in derbies, none more so than this one!

Don’t forget we also had several good counters but we threw most of them away. We were clearly more stressed than normal and made some poor passes and poor decisions. But we really had several chances.

It's definitely something along those lines being a derby and everything where mentality also becomes important. When we used to win the UCL every season whenever we faced City I was always confident we would win as I think they lack something in order to ever win that competition and it might be something similar when they face United; they still lack something that you can't buy and Guardiola can't coach them.

Was thinking that today. We always seem to go into this game (Etihad) in complete trash form (them in amazing form) with everybody expecting a city hammering and then we win

None as clear cut as Martial’s opportunity. Shaw also had a great chance on his right foot in the first half.

Put up the X goals and I'll go away even if it proves me right.

We were organized played well as a unit. My two issues were the lack of composure in our passing (it was terrible at times) and Martial's miss.

Great to a man. I know the way City play suits our style to the ground, but I really thought the whole team looked measured and weren't looking for the easy option every time.

Said it elsewhere, but Shaw looks better than I ever expected him to be over these last few months. And Martial with a top performance too. Shame he couldn't cap it with a goal.
