Can't think of many cannonball cyborg assassins to compare him to.

There is no comparison to Haaland. He's scoring a goal a game in one of the big leagues and about two goals a game in the CL. That of course is not guarantee for the future, but even the greats didn't have this output at that age.

If were was a striker to compare him to it would indeed be Lukaku. They share a similar profile, though Haaland is better when it comes to acceleration, first touch consistency and perhaps goal scoring.
So they aren't alike?

Maybe i'm crazy but to me he's a mix of Diego Costa (very hard to deal with and strong) and Luiz Suarez (great movement with the ball and creates his own spaces and clinical).

Best young striker since who? Rooney maybe? Although they have a different skillset.
At 20 probably since the Brazilian bloke. Rooney wasn't this good at 20.

What about his hold-up play? I think it’s an underrated aspect of Martial’s game that has been missed this season because he has been way off form, but he showed it last season and on the weekend against City.

I think he has improved in that regard, but he's not really someone to wait on the ball. Either he goes for goal himself or he's looking to lay it off quickly.

They have similar strengths and weaknesses. You can be alike without being a clone.
I mean lukakus first touch is his main, you could argue only and I'd listen, weakness, its not for haaland.

Apparently one was a tap in and the other was a penalty.....sounds like a top striker.

He's a monster no doubt, his interplay has improved and he works hard as well, but I just can't get enthusiastic about him as I can't see us getting him, I just hope City don't as with the amount of chances they create they'll be near unstoppable, hopefully he goes to Real.

How did the Norwegian PE teacher not sign him in the summer? He used to manage him for god sake and they speak the same language. Who ever signs this lad is going to win for years to come. He is unbelievable. God help us if city get him or even worse Liverpool..
I hope this is some shit sarcasm

Let´s be pathetic, you mean.
If it means not setting myself up for a disappointing transfer window then 100% yes. We probably only have about £100M to spend, if we waste all our time on Haaland and inevitably fail to get him we’ll panic and spend it on more average players.

If we truely desire to be #1 again, we need him.
He is at dortmund right now, so any transfer to any other team could/would hurt us - unless he chooses something worse than dortmund what i doubt he would

Great player, one of a kind. Don’t know how to say this in a correct way, but... He seem to do so strange things sometimes, like his celebration after the penalty looked like he didn’t have all the horses in the stable.
He plays with a fierce fire, and can be read like an open book. It's like every goal he scores is like the first goal he's ever scored. It's really cool to see.

Obviously he's a bloke for the big occasions. Has a brilliant sense of space, and knows exactly when to fire all cylinders. If that is "not to have all horses in the stable", he should continue letting them roam out on those wide fields.

Outside of the field he seem measured, almost shy, and with a laconic, underplayed sense of humor.

I think City is the best destiny to Haaland. Best coach and great team to fully evolve him into the monster he has such potential to be and adding more playmaking, hold up play and collective vision to his repertory.

United, Barcelona and Real, though, would only stifle and stagnate his progress. I think that PSG did this to some extent with Mbappé. PSG has always struggled to be a strong collective unit and Ligue 1 is too easy.

He's a killer. There is no doubt about that.
But the moment to sign him was when he had already proved it at Salzburg.
Those Ibra-style vibes do not please me, Raiola much less, I think he will end up at City or PSG for obscene values.
If Chelsea hadn't burned 80 million in Havertz ...

I get your point but to be fair PSG are second and we’re into March, and they’re only a point above third.

Madrid is the best destination. Haaland is obsessed with CL and there is no club that is obsessed with CL as much as Madrid, in a right way btw.

Not sure why other clubs you mentioned will stifle and stagnant him, you have examples for good and bad development at every club.

United, for example, lacks a good midfield to supply him, lacks good collective work and might stifle his maturing in hold up play and passing. Madrid and Barcelona are at a terrible moment, Barcelona for years, and also can't get their teams right and neither the coaches. I hope that Haaland goes to a already truly great team next season.

City will win the CL with him.

Son of a former player for them. One of the greatest managers manage them...
If he goes there he can end up being one of city's greatest ever players.

Feck I hope he chooses us

Red Card for Casemiro!
A decade from now, we'll look back at how Raiola gatecrashed our almost done deal with the next Ronaldo/Messi and changed the course of footballing history.

It'll be up there with City signing Pep.

In terms of a pure #9, Benzema is the only one that I can think of in the last 20 years that was doing anything remotely similar at this kind of age. The combination of power, skill and speed that he displayed at Lyon made him probably the one player I was a true transfer muppet for. As good as he's been I've always wondered if he could have reached the next level if he'd been the main man instead of playing second fiddle to Cristiano.

Before that probably Ronaldo 9 himself.

Madrid were equally terrible when Ronaldo decided to join them, then they built such a brilliant team that dominated CL like no other club.

Also not sure how his development will stagnate at Barca, ManUtd, PSG or Madrid. He will always get plenty of chances at every club as he makes half chances into good chances because of his movement. With players like Bruno, Pogba in the midfield, Haaland will get plenty of chances.

Things change very quickly in football, Liverpool for 2 years looked like they can't do anything wrong, it was all perfect. City for 1.5 seasons looked like average team. Now Liverpool can't do anything right and City cant do anything wrong.

If he wants to build legacy then he should go to Spain top 2. No club will build the legacy of player like those 2.

If he helps get us back to the very top then we do. There's a reason Real themselves spent a good while basically buying our cast-offs (as harsh as that is to say) with the likes of Beckham, Ruud, Heinze, Chicharito and even Queiroz to manage them.

Raiola will use us in the negotiations no doubt. Madrid or City seems most likely.

Harry Kane would cost absurd amounts but is probably more realistic than Haaland, I'd Spurs don't get top 4 and Kane demands to leave.

The saddest aspects to this Haaland saga is
1. When he was playing for Molde aged 16 , why on earth did Ole not let anyone at OT know that he had a phenomenon on his books
2. His father will never let him sign for Utd , he still hates us , because of Roy Keane's tackle on him
3. We've virtually sworn to never deal with his agent again !
