I will recommend Nioh 1&2, Dark Souls 1-3, Demons Souls Remake, Bloodborne, Sekiro, God of War, The Witcher 3, Hollow Knight, Shovel Knight, Bloodstained ritual of the night, Darkest Dungeon, Persona 5, Nier Automata, Dragon Quest 11, YS 8, FF7 remake, Ni no kuni 1&2 & Ghost of Tsushima.

These are mostly rpgs, but out of those I've bolded the ones I think anyone should play if only for the experience.
If his new to gaming, I wouldn’t recommend half those games. Half those games are frustrating for veteran gamers.

I would download FF7 remake, if you got PS plus. Both spiderman games are a must. I would play open World games where they hold your hand and then move to games like Sekiro, Bloodborne and Dark Soul games.

Can we thread ban the fanboys?
If its meant to be ironic it got boring as feck months ago. Theres a thread for it regardless. Having to wade through 10 moronic posts to find 1 relevant one is a pain in the balls.
Be a bit harsh banning Elvis from this thread

I'll make the assumption that you are talking about the soulsborne games.
If he can play dota and cs, he can play soulsborne. They aren't nearly as hard as their reputation makes them out to be. It's mostly about having the right mindset, I'd argue a player that hasn't got set expectations for how to play action rpgs is more likely to understand the basics of a soulsborne as they don't have to unlearn anything.

But I suppose it's a fair view of it, I just don't agree that it is an issue.

You gotta blood then early. That list posted by ode looks fantastic. No point in wasting time with dumbed down shite when you have far better content available. Spidey is a must play regardless.

Finished Control, just picking up some trophies I missed as I may Platinum it. Great game though. Combat is incredibly fun once you unlock more abilities. The sense of exploration and discovery reminded me of Bioshock in that you want to search every nook and cranny (not as good as Bioshock, mind you). I'd be lying if I said I fully grasped what was going on in the story; I don't think that's the strongest element of the game.

Great experience though and I'm glad I waited for the next-gen upgrade as the performance mode was pretty flawless. Although there is this strange thing where you unpause the game and it stutters/freezes for a second. Very odd.

I found Spiderman much more frustrating than God Of War. The reflex system really had to be timed when bullets and rockets come flying at you from all angles.

Thanks for the list mate, definitely intend to the play the infamous Demons Souls and Bloodborne games at some point. Will probably take me well more than a year to finish all these games though haha

Still haven’t got a dual sense charging station despite having it in my basket before I told Elvis.

As an aside I hate the way trophy percentages are calculated. It should just be that if I have 20/40 trophies I am on 50% completion, but it isn’t because it depends on whether it’s a gold/silver/bronze trophy so the percentages don’t even make any sense.

It sounds like you have worked out how they make sense?

I am sure by this time next week, it will make sense to you.

Hello. I'm a casual gamer. I'd like to play some PS5 games that are very easy and have good graphics and a solid game engine. RSVP.

Some of it is unbelievably hard. Looking at you valks...
The overlevelling makes that casual in normal difficulty. I killed the first valk at lvl 4, and you can get till possibly lvl 8-9 before you even start killing them at which point unless you are standing still at their attacks you should be okay.

Overall I found it 100% casual game, pretty much dumbed down for the masses in terms of figuring out the gameplay/exploration etc. You can make it 'hard' by increasing the difficulty but it just makes the fights longer and a harder grind instead of introducing multiple variations in combat. Most enemies throughout the game including valks are basically same enemy in different colors.

I will go through your list and check their reviews. But even I know that every God of War game is very difficult.

So you've completed it in "Give me God of War" difficulty level and found it easy? Respect...
Thats not the criteria for a game to be easy/casual. Uncharted can be quite tough in hardest difficulty but most people play it in easy/normal and at that it's a pretty dumbed down straight forward gameplay. GoW would be in a similar category for me.

I suspected I've come across a master of heavy irony, sarcasm, and dry humor.
That list is fantastic. Genuinely speaking. There's a wide variety of games there in terms of themes and difficulty. Especially games like God of War are ideal for a beginner as they pretty much guide you through every single thing and it's pretty straight forward. Start with standard stuff like Spiderman, Uncharted, God of War.

I loved that game, gutted Silksong is not gonna be on PlayStation. Thankfully I have a switch.
I've actually not seen anyone play over 20-30 hours in it and not fall in love with it. I surely have it as one of the best gaming experience I've ever had.

Hope they bloody get Silksong out on PS. I might end up buying a switch for it otherwise.
