If Redcafe was what it is today when Sharp Viewcam was announced to be on our shirt, the ridicule and moaning would be unbearable and yet because of the era it became an iconic emblem of our shirts and is looked back on with huge fondness.

Let’s hope *TeamViewer can go on to do the same.

*Never heard of her.

I always thought Chevy was fine as a logo, they get a hell of a lot worse.

It can’t be blue. It has to have a monotone aspect, there’s no way they’ll allow a blue sponsor on our shirt (especially home)

Is that because we couldn't find someone willing to pay for the lot though, or because there's more money in doing it seperately? Fair dos if the latter
Aon sponsor training kits don’t they?

Lads Chevrolet never sponsored our training kit.

Sponsored our shirts and seats in the dugout. That's all as far as I've ever seen

You'd think they'd clean the logo up for us, any graphic designer worth their salt could make a better logo.

So notes here:

Firstly the Chevy was weighted towards the backend. People say 64m a season are quoting what we got in the final year. The first year out we got around 45m. It gradually went up through it. The overall value of the deal at the time it was made was around 55M per season when evenly spread out. Due to exchange rate differences (it was negotiated in dollars) the deal ended up being worth around 51m per season over the life of the deal.

United have previous in separating out sponsorship categories and seeking partners in individual categories. They have clearly done the same thing here. Separating the shirt and automobile sponsors because separately they can get more money. This strategy is something Woodward and the Glazers have done from the start, and it drove soaring commercial revenues. It should be no surprise here.

Overall the shirt deal will go down by 4m a year, which is actually quite an achievement in the current economic climate, when the expiring deal remained the largest in football history, even close to a decade after it was first signed.

The reality is that with an automobile sponsor and potentially another category sold separately, the overall value to the club will actually go up.

I will admit that I am surprised we’ve aligned ourselves with TeamViewer. I’m not sure they have the brand associations we’d want. I also suspect that we have a clause to buy it out at any point in the deal, as we did with our training ground deal.

Financially I am almost certain this will be a further step forward.

Chevrolet are the shirt sponsor and automobile sponsor. The new shirt sponsor (TeamViewer) will only sponsor the shirt with a automobile sponsor being separate. The training kit and training ground deals are also up for renewal, so it'll be interesting to combine all the new deals in monetary sums, once all deals are finalised, compared to the previous deals in a global pandemic. But the early indications look positive.

I read a few posts earlier, praising TV for their increase in revenue. However they have a very dirty way of forcing people into renewing, subscribing or not letting them cancel their subscription. I follow some IT groups on facebook and I came across a lot of warning posts.
Basically, it's virtually impossible to find where to cancel your subscription from, they don't notify on time when your subscription is about to renew, their customer support is extremely hard to reach and even if you cancel your method of payment (paypal, credit card, etc) they still bill you and then they send debt collectors to claim unpaid debt.
I suppose there are a lot of companies that use TV and are continuing their subscription with them as they find their services useful, however there are an alarming count of occasions where companies or private users have had real trouble trying to unsubscribe.
I'm sure TV's marketing department has a branch to deal with bad publicity and their workload has doubled or tripled in the last 12 months.

The moaning is unbearable. I get it, i like a moan like everyone else, but for god sake at least let some images of our new strip come out before we dig a grave for it.
Crying for the sake of it.

Their logo looks like what you'd find when you're on the 11th page of emojis.

I can't imagine deciding on whether to buy the shirt or not based on how pretty the sponsor is.
Really? To each their own. Usually I'll buy the legit home shirt each season and order a few fakes if I like the away and third but if the logo is going to look as bad as it does (to me) then I won't be buying. Same reason I didn't buy the zebra kit. Of course you want to wear things that look pleasing on the eye.

Yeah it was literally reported it would be white on our kit about 5 minutes after it was announced.

100% it is meant to be worn by footballers. So it would be great if 45 year old men could stop walking around the town with their belly hanging out the bottom of it. Also there is no huge design and fashion following in football kits, Adidas and Nike produce a template every year and colour in the sections after for all their teams. It's not fashionable clothing and it shouldn't be worn on any but the occasions of actually playing football as an adult. 99% of football kits looks vile no matter the sponsor.
You're talking to someone who co-curated an exhibition at a national museum all about... football kits. I met the designers, collectors, authors and university lecturers who teach courses in this stuff. It's fashion as much as sportswear. I'm not sure you are the authority on this that you think you are.

Bit of a random sponsorship I must say. I'm surprised they're able to operate at that level of marketing. Used to use that in a previous job so it's a bit of a sickener for me to be honest.

It certainly has the potential to look cleaner on the shirt than the Chevy logo right now. It'll take some getting used to as always though.

And to think all the Chevrolet haters complained about the Chevrolet logo, hope you are happy now that its being replaced by something :mad:ing blue.
They've said it'll be a white logo, chill out.

I think it’ll look good in white on a red shirt to be fair

Every time there's a new shirt sponsor people complain. Calm down calm down it looks ok.
