United/Ajax
From watching Ajax in the CL all I know is they can't finish for their lives.

And luckily they forgot to register Haller
Over 3 goals per game in the league,
9 in 4 matches in the EL
And 7 in 6 in the CL.

Ajax can finish rather well(ofcourse weaker opponents in the league, but still a lot of goals).

CL was not that good this year, but only judging on the 2 matches against Liverpool isn't the way to go.

But Haller is player rather bad for Ajax at the moment, so it's luckily for Ajax. Tadic at striker is way better.

As a fan of both teams i would've preferred it to be the final. But atleast it's not the QF. So both teams can still progress 1 more round :D

This is a very good draw for United, I don't want to sit here and disrespect Granada, saying we are going to win convincingly etc but there is no doubt this is one of the easier ties we could have gotten. Hopefully when we play this game, we have a strong squad and the right attitude so we don't get caught out by what will surely be an inspired team.

Pretty good draw for us.

Arsenal fans should be pretty happy with that draw. Great chance of getting to the final. No United,Roma or Ajax on their side of the draw.
I wanted anyone but Ajax. But sure we'll probably get to the final and face them.

Looking at who is left in the Europa League, United look like clear favorites to me. Maybe Ajax give them a game but other than that Arsenal are the closest in terms of quality.

I don't see anyone else giving United any issues.

I have never and will never get people like you. No offence. I just want all our rivals to crash and burn personally.
Are you English? If so then i don't get people like you. Other nationalities want clubs from their own nation that they arn't a fan of to suceed, look at German fans on here, take a look at the Barcelona forum in the Champions League thread, they was all rooting for Real Madrid and Athetico because they are flying the flag for Spanish football.

Would you not call Gary Neville a die hard Manchester United fan? See how he roots for English clubs in the Champions League, remember Torres goal for Chelsea against Barcelona and Gary Neville's reaction?

We may be rivals in the league but in Europe it's them against us and as a English person why should i want a German/Italian/Spainish team to beat an English club when I'm English and grew up watching the PL and still watch this league more than any other, ie:- having a connection with this league?

Should English clubs go out, threads on here will be bumped like the 'Premier League is overrated' as an English person, who loves the Premier League and is proud of our league, i don't want that, many other people here don't either, hence the defence of the PL on here when this happens, so feck supporting Madrid (who i despise more than anyone) against Liverpool, i hope Liverpool batter them.

This is a group of United players that had issues and drew or lost to the likes of Crystal Palace, West Brom,Sheffield United and Basaksehir.

As for Arsenal it looks set up for Villarreal to knock them out whom are managed by Emery.

I think we are gaining good momentum at the moment and the other seven teams have lost to shite teams too. That said, I expect Arsenal, Roma, Villarreal, Zagreb and Ajax to go toe to toe against us. Hopefully we will put this trophy in the bag.

I’m not sure why everyone fears Arteta’s Arsenal in the final either. They were a cunthair away from being eliminated by Olympiakos FFS. They’re utter shit.

Did you support Liverpool in the final against Milan/Madrid?

Are you excited to see a City vs Liverpool final?

Yes

Excited is the wrong word, but i'd rather see it than (say) a Madrid/Bayern final and a City vs Liverpool or Chelsea final is the outcome i am hoping for the most.

Premier League showing it's strength in Europe, another all English final (like in 2019) would be fantastic for the Premier League.

Edit:- see there's been more replies, I would reply to these but used all my 3 posts today, will reply tomorrow.

I hope we get Roma after we beat Granada. They have been shocking in the big games this season. I don't think they have registered a single win against the top 6 in Serie A.

Maybe a Roma fan and provide more insight into this.

From the draw, the minimum requirement is to reach the final now, anything less than that is considered a failure in my view.

We have an easy path to the final now with all due respect to Granada and Ajax/Rome, and if we play to the full extent of the teams ability we should cruise past them and probably finish the tie in the first leg and rest some players in the second leg of each tie.

Yeah, be great seeing one of our rivals win the Champions League again, absolute class. But as long as the PL looks strong, who cares!

Couldn't care less how strong or weak some people see the Premier league. Tbh I would prefer to see anybody but Liverpool, Chelsea, Man City win this season Champions league.

As for a Man United supporter hoping Liverpool win matches especially a final of Champions league it may be the way that some modern fans think but something I'll never get my head around.

Yeah but Manchester United fans are widely known not be patriotic and actually hating the England national team, type "Manchester United fans hate England" on Google to see many articles on this.

I’m not like that, I love my country and I would take England winning the World Cup over Manchester United winning another Champions League if I had to pick.

I can understand Irish Manchester United fans (or any other nationality outside England) not wanting Premier League clubs to do well in Europe, why should they? But English Manchester United fans I don’t understand it what so ever!

I wouldn’t say it’s a generational thing, I’m in my late 30’s and as said everyone knows Gary Neville (patriotic Manchester United fan as they come) wants all PL clubs to do well in Europe, just as Jamie Carragher (Mr Liverpool), this is not because they work for Sky, its because when it comes to Europe you put your differences aside, you see PL clubs are flying the flag for English football and you want them to do well.

The view that if you are United fan you shouldn't want other English clubs (who are flying the flag for the PL) to do well in Europe when up against Spainish/German/Italian/French opposition, is like having the view that if you are a professional footballer and a Manchester United fan growing up, if you can't play for Manchester United, give it up and get a normal job.

If anyone here was a footballer and Liverpool wanted to sign you, no one in their right mind with give that opportunity up.

Never Liverpool or City. At a push, I can see your argument for maybe Spurs, Arsenal and Chelsea but not those two.

Bollocks. Absolute stone cold, shrivelled up inside, never to see the light of day again bollocks. Ask the majority of Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and City fans if they'd like to see us do well in Europe and they'd laugh you out of the room. Ask pretty much any united fan if they'd want to see any of the aforementioned teams succeed and you'd receive the same response. We want to be undoubtedly the best team in England, that only comes by having more trophies than any other club. Liverpool having more CLs than us is always going to be a sore point. Unreal that any united fan would want Liverpool to do well in Europe.

Well I fit in this, and I cannot stand the likes of City or Liverpool winning the Champions League, I'm happy to back the French, Spanish or German, or whoever over the former having any kind of success that we aren't having. This is more ammunition for those English clubs against us which I'd rather not support.

Well I'm not bitter like that, but what i will say to your response is what good is being the best team in England, when (if it was left to you) is a shit league as you want all English clubs in Europe to fail miserably?

I want Manchester United to win, but i want the Premier League to be the best, if Manchester United sign Haaland 1 week and the week after we find out Liverpool are signing Mbappe, i will love that. I want the Premier League to be the best league in the world and attract the best players in the world, to do that our teams (not just 1) have to prove it against the likes of Madrid/Juventus/Bayern/Barcelona when PL clubs face these clubs.

If Manchester United win a league where all English teams fail when facing Europe's elite, winning a Mickey Mouse Premier League would mean nothing.

So you are bigger England supporter than Man United and that love for the England team filters into the Premier league, each to their own and all that.

It's not that hard to understand, it called rivalry, most if not all Liverpool fans whatever their nationality will be hoping United have another trophyless season and plenty will be on this forum if it happens. You are rare breed United fan hoping Liverpool win any European Cup final. Out of interest who did you support in the 2019 CL final with two Premier league teams involved?

As for Gary Neville, he will milk any Liverpool woes on social media its a persona he plays on SKY. And when playing that persona he tries too hard to get non United fans to like him.

Have you not checked the Barcelona forum and see Barcelona fans wanting Real Madrid to go through in Europe (one of the most hated rivalries in Europe) x10 the rivalry of Manchester United and Liverpool, did you not see Dortmund fans reaction on here when Liverpool knocked Bayern out 2019? People having a connection to their country vs other countries or a connection to a league they most watch is not a unique rare thing.

Can you not cheer on your national team, because you can't bare to cheer on (say) Jordan Henderson/Harry Kane/Phil Foden when they are wearing your countries shirt (if England is your country)? If thats the case then i feel sorry for you and anyone else who is like this.

I can put this aside and i can put domestic/tribal rivarlies aside when in Europe, seems many Manchester United fans can't, but as i said in a previous post, Manchester United fans are known not to be patriotic .

Also complete nonsense about Gary Neville, i don't think he cares too much about what fans think about him and his reaction to Torres scoring against Barcelona was genuine, take a look on Twitter and the reaction by ex-footballers after an English club get a big win in Europe even if they never played for that club, they sound pleased and talked about how it's great for the Premier League and English football.

As for your 2019 question, i wanted Spurs to win, another English club winning the Champions League and having their name immortalised alongside previous English winners Liverpool/United/Chelsea/Forest/Villa would have been great for English football.

Some familiar faces there, Mkhitaryan, Smalling, Dzeko, Pedro. They have some good young talent in Pellegrini and Zaniolo as well. Will be a proper European semi final this one.

So we have faced a spanish side (sociedad) then an Italian side (Milan) then again a spanish side (granada) and now again Italian side (Roma). So we are going to face a spanish side again in the final. :D

United Vs Villa Real final. Smalling to have a worldie against United and we will struggle though. Mata to start discussions with Villa Real after the game and will sign for them over the summer.

Will the fixtures vs Liverpool (1/5) and Aston Villa (8/5) be changed after we got in the semi-final of EL? (We will play at 30/4 & 7/5 for semi-final)
We will look terrible in terms of stamina (Like vs Leicester at FA Cup) if the fixtures haven't changed.

I think if we continue our good form in the league, we should have enough cushion to rest players at that stage. The Roma games should be at that time our biggest of the season.

Absolutely no excuses. Ole must deliver this trophy now. Roma are a name but don’t think we have much to fear. Hope Ole’s love for a semi doesn’t come back again.
