Just watched that post PSG interview of Flick on Sky in full for the first time, and now I don't think it's certain Flick wants to leave.Stop posting this Sky tweet as if it's anything official. Why would Lothar fecking Matthäus of all people be in a position to break those news?
This is probably one of the main reasons why Guardiola left too.Isn't a story that he wants to have a say about transfers? Btw, why in Bayern managers are not involved in transfers?
I read what Kovac said. And he says that he wasn't asked about anything regarding transfers
I said this before; i have huge respect for Bayern regarding lots of things and rate them among top 5 giant clubs in the world (United, Real, Barca, Juve, Bayern) but any coach who goes there must lose all self respect to accept that job. Rummenige, Kaiser Franz, Hasan, Hoenes...all wiping floor with managers in public. "Shut up and do what we tell you." And players are above manager which is also something which is odd to me.This is probably one of the main reasons why Guardiola left too.
He wanted Neymar, De Bruyne and Sterling. Instead he got Götze, Coman and Costa.
There were good reasons for not getting Neymar. Bayern have a torrid history of sighing young South American players as they aren't able to handle the immense pressure and added change in weather/culture. It's not as if Gotze was a poor player, Gotze was arguably better at the time of signing given his role with Dortmund. He had a good first season but then injuries got to him, don't think Bayern could've predicted that. This doesn't even consider the insane price Barca had to pay for Neymar as well. This is probably one of the main reasons why Guardiola left too.

If that's the impression you've been getting, I don't really share it. About Flick, for example, board members only speak in glowing terms publicly. Like they did with Guardiola.I said this before; i have huge respect for Bayern regarding lots of things and rate them among top 5 giant clubs in the world (United, Real, Barca, Juve, Bayern) but any coach who goes there must lose all self respect to accept that job. The weirdest moment was when club took side of Guardiola against Kovac (their own manager at the time). Seeing Kovac saying sorry on press conference was sad thing to see. And Kovac is not a person who is labelled as a soft or yes man.
But hey, you have results on your side so it is working i guess.
Do you really see Bayern paying what Barcelona paid for Neymar? To date no one has a specific amount Barcelona paid for Neymar, speculations are that its over 100M for fees, agent and daddy fees back in 2013This is probably one of the main reasons why Guardiola left too.

Not sure about his heading but the rest is very promising. Good pace (you could see him in 1v1 vs Mbappe) and solid tackles. Needs a physical strong partner. If fit, 1st 11 CB.What do Bayern fans think of Hernandez? long term CB?
Yes long term LCB if he can stay fit with Upa and Sule being the RCBWhat do Bayern fans think of Hernandez? long term CB?
He better be, for the money spent. If he can achieve the level he showed in the return leg vs PSG somewhat consistently, he'd be very much worth it.What do Bayern fans think of Hernandez? long term CB?
How much did you pay?He better be, for the money spent. If he can achieve the level he showed in the return leg vs PSG somewhat consistently, he'd be very much worth it.
80M EurosHow much did you pay?
Damn. Quite rare from you guys to spend that amount of cash on one player, no? He looks top quality though!80M Euros
@kouroux Look at people disrespecting Lucas.
Not just the defending. His distribution from the back was superb. Didn't know he had that in his locker.
Only that Theo is worse player by farBoth the Hernandez brothers are ridiculous physical specimens
It helped a lot that he finally played as CB and not LB. I am obviously not a coach but i never understood why Flick absolutely insisted of playing him as LB with Alaba at LCB.

The fact that he can play there at a genuinely good level probably clouds managers minds. Simeone should have moved him back to CB and I think that France should have him at CB with Mendy on the left.It helped a lot that he finally played as CB and not LB. Great thought process thinking of Choupo who comes to mind...Jacker!The fact that he can play there at a genuinely good level probably clouds managers minds. Simeone should have moved him back to CB and I think that France should have him at CB with Mendy on the left.
PS: Thinking about Choupo-Moting, Carsten Jancker was mainly a backup back in the day, right?
I was thinking about striker depth at Bayern. I wasn't likening Jancker and Choupo.Great thought process thinking of Choupo who comes to mind...Jacker!
But nah, he was mainly a starter only in his last season he barely played.
Gnabry being out as well and therefore having to play Choupo certain didn’t help Bayern.I was thinking about striker depth at Bayern. I wasn't likening Jancker and Choupo.
GoddammitFlick confirms he will be leaving end of the season

Who do you think will replace him?Goddammit
might be NagelsmannWho do you think will replace him?
I guess he’s the best bet, but then Bayern would be his third club in two and a half yearsmight be Nagelsmann
He sounds disloyal when you put it that way but tbf to him, 3 seasons at a midtable side like Hoffenheim and 2 at a CL level side like Leipzig seems a normal, good trajectory to the top team in the country, and maybe the world. 5 years of good work at 2 clubs is a fairer judgment for a top young manager.I guess he’s the best bet, but then Bayern would be his third club in two and a half years
Apart from Nagelsmann, no name really springs to mind. Seems shitty timing to be looking for a new head coach.Who do you think will replace him?

Yeah, you’re right. It just sounded weird in my head for some reason. He sounds disloyal when you put it that way but tbf to him, 3 seasons at a midtable side like Hoffenheim and 2 at a CL level side like Leipzig seems a normal, good trajectory to the top team in the country, and maybe the world. 5 years of good work at 2 clubs is a fairer judgment for a top young manager.
