Why do you feel that impacts you as a fan and why do you feel the EL Superleague would be better?

United should have had a much bigger share of the pie down the years and had our pick of the best players like Bayern, Real, Barca in their leagues.

The ESL allows this concentration of wealth as well as caters to each individual clubs selling some of their TV rights themselves.

So let’s have a boring league like La Liga then? United make enough money without taking more from the competition. The club has enough advantages to most of the league.

That's the difference, it's not taking from the competition, the arrangement is United subsidizing the competition.

If the World wants to pay more for United on TV, United should be getting more money, not Burnley.

Oh boy..

If our entire football just becomes this competition with no PL or CL, I won't lie, my interest in football and the sport in general will go down massively. Like I'll still watch United games out of habit, but I'll be lying if I say it's with the same passion or interest.

How many of the alleged founding clubs are fan-owned or controlled? Do the members of Real Madrid and Barcelona really support this move? I think they've just confirmed new terms for their president, Perez and Laporta, but unless their fanbase actually supports this idea I find it hard to believe they can simply decide such a far reaching matter.

Surely there would be pushback, and possibly an emergency general meeting? Or am I wrong and this is actually a popular idea among some supporters? So far there's no mention of Bayern having agreed to join, so I can only speculate they're not on board yet and maybe hesitant as their club members might not agree to the super league?

Because without it, United would essentially be like Bayern strolling to the league 9 times out of 10. I can see why this would appeal to some (not me personally) - the same people who clock games on the easiest setting, or save before every game on FM in case they lose.

I don't think City are. From what I can tell, in January, Pep said he didn't want them to join and reports today are that City didn't sign up for the Super League.

If that's true, that City didn't, and United did, then feck me.

What will PL be without the 6 big clubs? A glorified championship at best.

Your nickname says all we need to know about your bias in this situation but let me try to 'discuss'.

First, the PL is not La Liga where people care only for the two big clubs with a sprinkling with Sevilla and Atletico (not Athletico btw) Madrid (who both inevitably bottle the league to the former two in 9/10 cases).

The PL is built on equal distribution of money which allows for excitement in most games and unpredictability of the outcome each season(title, top 4, relegation). We have already seen that allowing Citeh to spend their way to a league title makes the league winner less unpredictable/exciting. Why should crap teams like Spuds and Arsenal get to benefit from big money when they've proven they're not good enough to compete with West Ham and Leicester?

Secondly, I would prefer to watch crappy little teams than these plastic big clubs owned by Yanks in a league facilitated by Yank banks (JP Morgan, please). Americans have proven time and again they have no understanding of European football in relation to its meaning to fans and communities, so I don't want them to have even an ounce more influence on European football.

The interesting part of the UEFA stamens is the use of the term “could be”. I’m guessing they’re not confident in the legality of removing teams from leagues or blocking players from representing international teams. You‘d suspect the clubs involved lawyers would have preemptively put together a case fighting any such moves, and City have already beat UEFA once.
